SEEING NEAR AND FAR		가까이서 보기와 멀리서 보기
[ Psalms 145:1 - 145:21 ] - hymn 92 The LORD is near to all who call upon Him. - Psalm 145:18 Having two healthy eyes is not enough to see clearly. I know this from experience. After a series of eye surgeries for a torn retina, both eyes could see well but they refused to cooperate with each other. One eye saw things far away and the other saw things close up. But instead of working together, they fought for supremacy. Until I could get new prescription glasses 3 months later, my eyes remained unfocused. Something similar happens in our view of God. Some people focus better on God when they see Him as ¡°close up¡±-when they think of Him as intimately present in their daily life. Other Christians see God more clearly as ¡°far away¡± or far beyond anything we can imagine, ruling the universe in power and majesty. While people disagree about which view is best, the Bible works like a prescription lens helping us to see that both are correct. King David presents both views in Psalm 145: ¡°The Lord is near to all who call upon Him¡±(v.18) and ¡°Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable¡±(v.3). Thankfully, our Father in heaven is near to hear our prayers yet so far above us in power that He can meet every need. - Julie Ackerman Link		[ 시편 145:1 - 145:21 ] - 찬송가 92 장 여호와께서는 자기에게 간구하는 모든 자 곧 진실하게 간구하는 모든 자에게 가까이 하시는도다 - 시편 145:18 두 눈이 건강하다고 다 선명하게 보이는 것은 아닙니다. 나는 이것을 경험을 통해 알고 있습니다. 상한 망막으로 인해 여러번 눈 수술을 한 후, 두 눈 모두 잘 보였지만 두 눈이 서로 협조를 하지 않았습니다. 한쪽 눈은 먼 곳을 잘 보고 다른 쪽 눈은 가까운 곳을 잘 보았습니다. 함께 일하는 대신에 양쪽 눈은 각각 자기가 우월하다고 싸웠습니다. 석 달 후에 새로운 처방으로 만든 안경을 쓰기 전까지, 나의 두 눈은 초점을 맞추지 못했습니다. 하나님을 이해하는 데도 비슷한 경우가 있습니다. 하나님께서 우리들의 일상생활에서 늘 함께하신다고 생각하는 사람들은 하나님에 대하여 아주 “가까이” 초점을 맞추고 봅니다. 다른 기독교인들은 하나님을 “멀리” 계신 분, 즉 권능과 위엄으로 우주를 다스리시는, 우리가 도저히 상상할 수 없는 분으로 생각할 때 더 선명하게 봅니다. 사람들마다 어느 쪽이 옳은지에 대해서 의견을 달리하지만 성경은 처방된 안경처럼 두 의견이 다 옳다는 것을 깨닫게끔 도와줍니다. 다윗왕은 두 견해를 시편 145편을 통해서 잘 말해주고 있습니다. “여호와께서는 자기에게 간구하는 모든 자 곧 진실하게 간구하는 모든 자에게 가까이 하시는도다”(18절). “여호와는 위대하시니 크게 찬양할 것이라 그의 위대하심을 측량하지 못하리로다”(3절). 감사하게도 하늘에 계신 우리 아버지께서는 우리에게 가까이 계셔서 우리의 기도를 들어주시며, 동시에 높은 곳에서 우리의 모든 필요를 채워주실 수 있는 막대한 능력을 갖고 계십니다.

Lord, You¡¯re the high and lofty One,
Yet close enough to hear our voice;
You¡¯re powerful, yet personal;
Your love for us makes us rejoice. - Sper

God is big enough to care for the smallest needs.

Psalm 145:1-21

[1] A Praise of David. I will extol You, my God, O King; And I will bless Your name forever and ever.
[2] Every day I will bless You, And I will praise Your name forever and ever.
[3] Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable.
[4] One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts.
[5] I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, And on Your wondrous works.
[6] Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, And I will declare Your greatness.
[7] They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness, And shall sing of Your righteousness.
[8] The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy.
[9] The LORD is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works.
[10] All Your works shall praise You, O LORD, And Your saints shall bless You.
[11] They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, And talk of Your power,
[12] To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, And the glorious majesty of His kingdom.
[13] Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.
[14] The LORD upholds all who fall, And raises up all who are bowed down.
[15] The eyes of all look expectantly to You, And You give them their food in due season.
[16] You open Your hand And satisfy the desire of every living thing.
[17] The LORD is righteous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works.
[18] The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.
[19] He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them.
[20] The LORD preserves all who love Him, But all the wicked He will destroy.
[21] My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD, And all flesh shall bless His holy name Forever and ever.

주여, 주님은 높고 위대하신 분이지만
우리의 음성을 들으실 정도로 가까이 계십니다
큰 능력을 갖고 계시지만 또한 다정하시며
우리를 향한 사랑은 우리에게 기쁨이 넘치게 하십니다

하나님은 가장 작은 필요까지 들어주실 정도로 관대하시다.

시편 145:1-21

[1] [다윗의 찬송시] 왕이신 나의 하나님이여 내가 주를 높이고 영원히 주의 이름을 송축하리이다
[2] 내가 날마다 주를 송축하며 영영히 주의 이름을 송축하리이다
[3] 여호와는 광대하시니 크게 찬양할 것이라 그의 광대하심을 측량치 못하리로다
[4] 대대로 주의 행사를 크게 칭송하며 주의 능한 일을 선포하리로다
[5] 주의 존귀하고 영광스러운 위엄과 주의 기사를 나는 묵상하리이다
[6] 사람들은 주의 두려운 일의 세력을 말할 것이요 나도 주의 광대하심을 선포하리이다
[7] 저희가 주의 크신 은혜를 기념하여 말하며 주의 의를 노래하리이다
[8] 여호와는 은혜로우시며 자비하시며 노하기를 더디하시며 인자하심이 크시도다
[9] 여호와께서는 만유를 선대하시며 그 지으신 모든 것에 긍휼을 베푸시는도다
[10] 여호와여 주의 지으신 모든 것이 주께 감사하며 주의 성도가 주를 송축하리이다
[11] 저희가 주의 나라의 영광을 말하며 주의 능을 일러서
[12] 주의 능하신 일과 주의 나라의 위엄의 영광을 인생에게 알게 하리이다
[13] 주의 나라는 영원한 나라이니 주의 통치는 대대에 이르리이다
[14] 여호와께서는 모든 넘어지는 자를 붙드시며 비굴한 자를 일으키시는도다
[15] 중생의 눈이 주를 앙망하오니 주는 때를 따라 저희에게 식물을 주시며
[16] 손을 펴사 모든 생물의 소원을 만족케 하시나이다
[17] 여호와께서는 그 모든 행위에 의로우시며 그 모든 행사에 은혜로우시도다
[18] 여호와께서는 자기에게 간구하는 모든 자 곧 진실하게 간구하는 모든 자에게 가까이 하시는도다
[19] 저는 자기를 경외하는 자의 소원을 이루시며 또 저희 부르짖음을 들으사 구원하시리로다
[20] 여호와께서 자기를 사랑하는 자는 다 보호하시고 악인은 다 멸하시리로다
[21] 내 입이 여호와의 영예를 말하며 모든 육체가 그의 성호를 영영히 송축할지로다
