God¡¯s Timing		하나님의 때
[ Exodus 13:17 - 13:22 ] - hymn 384 For every matter there is a time and judgment. —Ecclesiastes 8:6 Pastor Audley Black¡¯s church near the south coast of Jamaica has been in a building program since at least 2005. That was the first time I visited his church and saw that they were expanding. The last time I was there—in the spring of 2011—some of the walls were up. By that summer, they had started on the roof. When I suggested to Pastor Black that perhaps the church would be done by 2013 when I thought I might return, he said it was a possibility. There was no hint of disappointment that this project could take 8 years or longer! No, Pastor Black and his people are excited about what God is doing, and they¡¯re patient with His timing. We are often not that patient. We want our church to grow quickly, our young people to mature right away, and our problems to be fixed today. Maybe we need to be reminded that some things take time—God¡¯s time. For instance, when the Israelites first left Egypt, God sent them on the long route to the Promised Land (Ex.13:17-18). During that time He prepared them, taught them, and challenged them. In our microwave world, we want everything done instantaneously. But sometimes that¡¯s not God¡¯s plan. Let¡¯s seek God¡¯s help and learn to accept His timing.		[ 출애굽기 13:17 - 13:22 ] - 찬송가 384 장 무슨 일에든지 때와 판단이 있으므로 사람에게 임하는 화가 심함이니라 - 전도서 8:6 자메이카 남쪽 해변에 위치한 오들리 블랙 목사의 교회는 2005년경부터 교회건축을 준비하고 있었습니다. 그 당시 내가 그 교회를 처음 방문했는데, 교회가 커가고 있는 것을 보았습니다. 2011년 봄에 그 교회를 다시 방문했을 때는 벽이 몇 개 세워져 있었습니다. 그해 여름에는 지붕공사를 시작했습니다. 그래서 2013년 내가 다시 방문할 때쯤이면 교회가 완공되지 않겠는가 하고 블랙 목사에게 말하자, 그는 그럴 수도 있을 것이라고 대답했습니다. 이 교회 건축이 8년 혹은 그 이상 걸린다 해도 실망하는 기색이 전혀 안 보였습니다! 아니 오히려 블랙 목사나 교인들은 하나님이 역사하시는 일을 보면서 기뻐하였으며, 또 하나님의 때를 인내심을 가지고 기다릴 줄 알았습니다. 우리는 종종 이와 같은 인내심을 갖지 못합니다. 우리는 교회가 빨리 성장하길 원하고, 우리의 젊은이들은 곧 바로 성숙해지고, 우리들의 문제들은 즉시 해결되길 원합니다. 우리는 일에 따라서 어떤 일은 시간이 걸리며, 하나님의 정하신 때가 있음을 상기할 필요가 있습니다. 예를 들어 이스라엘 사람들이 처음 애굽을 떠나 약속의 땅에 들어갈 때, 하나님께선 그들을 먼 길을 통해서 보내셨습니다(출 13:17-18). 이 기간 동안에 하나님께선 그들을 준비시키고, 가르치시며 또 도전을 겪게 하셨습니다. 전자레인지 시대에 사는 우리들은 모든 것들이 즉각 이루어지길 바랍니다. 하지만 많은 경우에 이것은 하나님의 계획이 아닙니다. 하나님께 도움을 구하며, 하나님의 때를 받아들이는 것을 배웁시다.

God¡¯s timetable may move slowly, but it does move surely.

Exodus 13:17-22

[17] Then it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, "Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt."
[18] So God led the people around by way of the wilderness of the Red Sea. And the children of Israel went up in orderly ranks out of the land of Egypt.
[19] And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him, for he had placed the children of Israel under solemn oath, saying, "God will surely visit you, and you shall carry up my bones from here with you."
[20] So they took their journey from Succoth and camped in Etham at the edge of the wilderness.
[21] And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night.
[22] He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people.

한 해 한 해 인도하시는 것이 아니요
하루 하루 인도하시는 것도 아니요
한 걸음 한 걸음 나의 길을 펼치시며
나의 주님이 나를 인도하신다네

하나님의 시간표는 좀 느린 것 같으나 확실하게 움직인다.

출애굽기 13:17-22

[17] 바로가 백성을 보낸 후에 블레셋 사람의 땅의 길은 가까울지라도 하나님이 그들을 그 길로 인도하지 아니하셨으니 이는 하나님이 말씀하시기를 이 백성이 전쟁을 보면 뉘우쳐 애굽으로 돌아갈까 하셨음이라
[18] 그러므로 하나님이 홍해의 광야 길로 돌려 백성을 인도하시매 이스라엘 자손이 애굽 땅에서 항오를 지어 나올 때에
[19] 모세가 요셉의 해골을 취하였으니 이는 요셉이 이스라엘 자손으로 단단히 맹세케 하여 이르기를 하나님이 필연 너희를 권고하시리니 너희는 나의 해골을 여기서 가지고 나가라 하였음이었더라
[20] 그들이 숙곳에서 발행하여 광야 끝 에담에 장막을 치니
[21] 여호와께서 그들 앞에 행하사 낮에는 구름 기둥으로 그들의 길을 인도하시고 밤에는 불기둥으로 그들에게 비취사 주야로 진행하게 하시니
[22] 낮에는 구름 기둥, 밤에는 불 기둥이 백성 앞에서 떠나지 아니하니라
