Walk Away From Worry		근심에서 벗어나라
[ Philippians 4:1 - 4:9 ] - hymn 365 Be anxious for nothing. — Philippians 4:6 A few years ago, our Bible-study leader challenged us to memorize a chapter of the Bible and recite it to the group. Internally, I began to protest and groan. An entire chapter, in front of everyone? Memorization had never been my thing; I cringed as I imagined long silences while everyone watched me, waiting for the next words. A few days later, I reluctantly leafed through my Bible, looking for a set of verses to learn by heart. Nothing seemed right until I landed in Philippians 4. I read this verse in silence, ¡°Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God¡± (v.6). That¡¯s when I knew which chapter to memorize, and how to walk away from my anxiety about the assignment. God does not want us to agonize over future events, because worry paralyzes our prayer life. The apostle Paul reminds us that instead of fretting, we should ask God for help. When we continually take this approach to anxiety, God¡¯s peace will guard our hearts and minds (v.7). Someone once said tongue-in-cheek, ¡°Why pray when you can worry?¡± The point is clear: Worry gets us nowhere, but prayer gets us in touch with the One who can handle all of our concerns.		[ 빌립보서 4:1 - 4:9 ] - 찬송가 365 장 아무 것도 염려하지 말고 - 빌립보서 4:6 몇 년 전, 우리의 성경 공부 인도자가 각자 성경의 한 장씩을 외워서 그룹 앞에서 암송하자는 제안을 했습니다. 나는 속으로 찡그리며 불평했습니다. 사람들 앞에서 한 장을 통째로? 나는 암기에는 소질이 없었습니다. 다음 구절을 기다리며 나를 쳐다보는 사람들과 그 동안의 긴 침묵을 상상하며 나는 위축되었습니다. 며칠 후, 나는 마음에 새길 만한 성경구절을 찾아 심드렁하게 성경을 뒤적이고 있었습니다. 빌립보서 4장을 만날 때까지는 아무것도 마음에 와 닿지 않았습니다. 나는 “아무것도 염려하지 말고 다만 모든 일에 기도와 간구로, 너희구할 것을 감사함으로 하나님께 아뢰라”(6절)는 구절을 속으로 읽었습니다. 그때 내가 암송해야 할 장과, 그 숙제에 대한 근심에서 어떻게 벗어날 수 있는지를 알게 된 것입니다. 근심은 우리의 기도생활을 방해합니다. 그래서 하나님께서는 우리가 미래의 일로 괴로워하길 원치 않으십니다. 바울사도는 우리가 안달하는 대신 하나님께 도움을 청해야 한다고 알려줍니다. 우리가 근심에 대해 늘 그렇게 대처하면 하나님의 평강이 우리의 마음과 생각을 지켜주실 것입니다(7절). 한번은 어떤 분이 “걱정하면 되는데 왜 기도하십니까?”라고 비꼬았습니다. 핵심은 분명합니다. 걱정은 아무것도 해결해주지 않지만, 기도는 우리의 모든 근심을 감당하실 수 있는 그 분과 연결되게 합니다.

It¡¯s impossible to wring our hands when they are folded before God in prayer.

Philippians 4:1-9

[1] Therefore, my beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, beloved.
[2] I implore Euodia and I implore Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord.
[3] And I urge you also, true companion, help these women who labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life.
[4] Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
[5] Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.
[6] Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
[7] and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
[8] Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things.
[9] The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

바쁜 나날 중에 근심이 시작되고
긴장이 고조되는 것을 느낄 때
암울한 구름이 몰려 들 때
오직 기도하라!

손을 하나님 앞에 모으고 기도할 때
그 무엇도 우리의 손목을 비틀 수 없다.

빌립보서 4:1-9

[1] 그러므로 나의 사랑하고 사모하는 형제들, 나의 기쁨이요 면류관인 사랑하는 자들아 이와 같이 주 안에 서라
[2] 내가 유오디아를 권하고 순두게를 권하노니 주 안에서 같은 마음을 품으라
[3] 또 참으로 나와 멍에를 같이 한 자, 네게 구하노니 복음에 나와 함께 힘쓰던 저 부녀들을 돕고 또한 글레멘드와 그 위에 나의 동역자들을 도우라 그 이름들이 생명책에 있느니라
[4] 주 안에서 항상 기뻐하라 내가 다시 말하노니 기뻐하라
[5] 너희 관용을 모든 사람에게 알게 하라 주께서 가까우시니라
[6] 아무 것도 염려하지 말고 오직 모든 일에 기도와 간구로, 너희 구할 것을 감사함으로 하나님께 아뢰라
[7] 그리하면 모든 지각에 뛰어난 하나님의 평강이 그리스도 예수 안에서 너희 마음과 생각을 지키시리라
[8] 종말로 형제들아 무엇에든지 참되며 무엇에든지 경건하며 무엇에든지 옳으며 무엇에든지 정결하며 무엇에든지 사랑할 만하며 무엇에든지 칭찬할 만하며 무슨 덕이 있든지 무슨 기림이 있든지 이것들을 생각하라
[9] 너희는 내게 배우고 받고 듣고 본 바를 행하라 그리하면 평강의 하나님이 너희와 함께 계시리라
