ONE BEAUTIFUL MOMENT		한 아름다운 순간
[ Isaiah 40:6 - 40:11 ] - hymn 89 All flesh is grass, and all its loveliness is like the flower of the field. - Isaiah 40:6 One snap of the shutter, and there it was ... one beautiful moment captured in time for eternity. The late summer sun reflected in the breaking wave made the water look like liquid gold splashing onto the shore. If my friend had not been there with his camera, the wave would have gone unnoticed, like so many others that have come and gone, seen only by God. Who can imagine how many waves Lake Michigan has sent rolling onto the shoreline? Yet each one is unique. As seen in every wave, God makes extravagant beauty out of seemingly mundane things. Using water and air, He makes wondrous works of art. We enjoy His gallery in skies above and on earth and sea below. But most of earth's beauty remains invisible to us; it is seen only by God. God uses another gallery to display His glory-humans. We too are made out of something ordinary-dust (Gen. 2:7). But to us He added an extraordinary ingredient-His very own breath (v.7). Like waves of the sea and flowers of the field (Isa.40:6), our lives are brief and seen by few. Yet each one is a beautiful "moment" created by God to say to the world, "Behold, your God!" whose Word will last for-ever(v.8). - Julie Ackerman Link		[ 이사야 40:6 - 40:11 ] - 찬송가 89 장 모든 육체는 풀이요 그의 모든 아름다움은 들의 꽃과 같으니 - 이사야 40:6 셔터 소리가 나면, 한 아름다운 순간이 영원의 시간 속에 간직됩니다. 늦여름의 태양 빛이 부서지는 파도에 반사되어 호숫물은 마치 액체 황금이 물가에 부딪치며 튀어 오르는 것처럼 보입니다. 만약 내 친구가 사진기를 가져오지 않았다면, 그 파도는 아무도 보지 못했던 다른 많은 파도처럼 하나님만 보셨을 뿐 어떤 특별한 주목도 끌지 못하고 그냥 왔다가 사라졌을 것입니다. 미시간 호수가 얼마나 많은 파도를 물가로 굴려 보내는 지 어느 누가 상상이나 할 수 있겠습니까? 그러나 하나하나의 파도는 독특합니다. 모든 파도에서 볼 수 있듯이, 하나님은 평범하게 보이는 것들로부터 엄청나게 아름다운 것을 만드십니다. 물과 공기를 이용하여 하나님은 경이로운 예술작품을 만드십니다. 우리는 위로 하늘과 이 땅, 그리고 아래로 바다에 있는 하나님의 예술작품들을 즐겨 보고 있습니다. 그러나 이 세상의 대부분의 아름다움은 우리에게는 잘 보이질 않고, 오직 하나님께만 보입니다. 하나님은 그분의 영광을 나타내기 위하여 인간이라는 다른 작품도 사용하십니다. 우리 역시 흙이라는 평범한 것으로 만들어졌습니다(창 2:7). 그러나 하나님은 우리에게 하나님 자신의 생기(7절)라는 놀라운 재료를 더해주셨습니다. 바다의 파도나 들의 꽃과 같이(사 40:6), 우리의 삶은 짧고 잘 보이지도 않습니다. 그러나 우리 각자는 － 이 세상을 향해 “너희 하나님을 보라!”라고 말씀하셨고 그 말씀이 영원히 서 있을(8절) － 하나님이 빚어내신 하나의 아름다운 “순간”입니다.

Only one life, so live it well,
And keep your candle trimmed and bright;
Eternity, not time, will tell

We fulfill our purpose when we serve our Creator.

Isaiah 40:6-11

[6] The voice said, "Cry out!" And he said, "What shall I cry?" "All flesh is grass, And all its loveliness is like the flower of the field.
[7] The grass withers, the flower fades, Because the breath of the LORD blows upon it; Surely the people are grass.
[8] The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever."
[9] O Zion, You who bring good tidings, Get up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, You who bring good tidings, Lift up your voice with strength, Lift it up, be not afraid; Say to the cities of Judah, "Behold your God!"
[10] Behold, the Lord GOD shall come with a strong hand, And His arm shall rule for Him; Behold, His reward is with Him, And His work before Him.
[11] He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arm, And carry them in His bosom, And gently lead those who are with young.

단지 한 번뿐인 인생, 잘 사십시오
당신의 촛불을 정돈하여 계속 밝히십시오
그 촛불이 얼마나 멀리 비추었는지는
잠깐이 아니라 영원히 기록될 것입니다

우리가 창조주이신 하나님을 섬길 때
우리의 목적이 완성된다.

이사야 40:6-11

[6] 말하는 자의 소리여 가로되 외치라 대답하되 내가 무엇이라 외치리이까 가로되 모든 육체는 풀이요 그 모든 아름다움은 들의 꽃 같으니
[7] 풀은 마르고 꽃은 시듦은 여호와의 기운이 그 위에 붊이라 이 백성은 실로 풀이로다
[8] 풀은 마르고 꽃은 시드나 우리 하나님의 말씀은 영영히 서리라 하라
[9] 아름다운 소식을 시온에 전하는 자여 너는 높은 산에 오르라 아름다운 소식을 예루살렘에 전하는 자여 너는 힘써 소리를 높이라 두려워 말고 소리를 높여 유다의 성읍들에 이르기를 너희 하나님을 보라 하라
[10] 보라 주 여호와께서 장차 강한 자로 임하실 것이요 친히 그 팔로 다스리실 것이라 보라 상급이 그에게 있고 보응이 그 앞에 있으며
[11] 그는 목자 같이 양무리를 먹이시며 어린 양을 그 팔로 모아 품에 안으시며 젖먹이는 암컷들을 온순히 인도하시리로다
