"ME FIRST"		“나 먼저”
[ James 4:1 - 4:10 ] - hymn 457 Put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts. - Ephesians 4:22 A man once asked me, "What is your biggest problem?" I replied, "I see my biggest problem every day in the mirror." I am refer-ring to those "me first" desires that lurk in my heart. In James 4:1 we read: "Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members?" The words "desires for pleasure" refer to our self-serving desires. That's why in James 1:14 we are told: "Each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed." James warns that such "me first" desires will destroy our friendship with God (4:4) and cause divisions, wars, and fights (vv.1-2). Therefore, we are told to put off "me first" thinking. How do we do this? First, "Submit to God"(4:7). We need to get our ranking right-God is God and His will must always be first. Second, "Draw near to God"(v.8). Deal with those desires that lead to sin by going to God for cleansing. Don't be double-minded, desiring both evil and good. But rather desire to please God alone. Third, "Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord"(v.10). Then "He will lift you up." Remember, "me first" living is not the key to success. Put God first. - Albert Lee		[ 야고보서 4:1 - 4:10 ] - 찬송가 457 장 너희는 유혹의 욕심을 따라 썩어져가는 구습을 따르는 옛 사람을 벗어버리고 - 에베소서 4:22 어떤 사람이 내게 “당신의 가장 큰 문제는 무엇입니까?”라고 물었습니다. 나는 “나는 매일 거울을 볼 때마다 나의 가장 큰 문제를 봅니다.”라고 대답했습니다. 나는 지금 내 마음에 도사리고 있는 “나 먼저”라는 욕구들을 말하고 있는 것입니다. 야고보서 4장 1절은 “너희 중에 싸움이 어디로부터 다툼이 어디로부터 나느냐 너희 지체 중에서 싸우는 정욕으로부터 나는 것이 아니냐” 라고 묻습니다. 여기서 “정욕”이란 자기 자신을 섬기려는 욕심을 말합니다. 그래서 야고보서 1장 14절은 우리에게 “오직 각 사람이 시험을 받는 것은 자기 욕심에 끌려 미혹됨이니”라고 가르칩니다. 야고보는 이러한 “나 먼저”라는 욕구는 하나님과의 관계를 파괴시키고(4:4) 분열과 전쟁, 그리고 다툼을 일으킨다(1-2절)고 경고합니다. 그러므로 성경은 우리에게 “나 먼저”라는 생각을 버리라고 말합니다. 어떻게 하면 그렇게 할 수 있을까요? 첫째, “하나님께 복종”(4:7)해야 합니다. 우리는 우리의 순위를 올바르게 해야 합니다. 하나님은 하나님이시기 때문에 언제나 첫째가 되셔야 합니다. 둘째, “하나님을 가까이 해야”(8절) 합니다. 당신으로 하여금 죄를 짓게 하는 욕구들을 깨끗케 해달라고 하나님께 나아가십시오. 선과 악 둘을 다 원하는 이중성을 버리고, 오직 하나님 한분만 기쁘게 하기를 바라십시오. 셋째, 당신을 “주 앞에서 낮추어야”(10절) 합니다. 그리하면 “주께서 당신을 높이실 것”입니다. 명심하십시오. “나 먼저”라는 삶의 방식으로는 성공에 이를 수 없습니다. 하나님을 첫 번째에 두십시오.

James 4:1-10

[1] Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members?
[2] You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.
[3] You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.
[4] Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
[5] Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, "The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously"?
[6] But He gives more grace. Therefore He says£º "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble."
[7] Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
[8] Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
[9] Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom.
[10] Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

야고보서 4:1-10

[1] 너희 중에 싸움이 어디로, 다툼이 어디로 좇아 나느뇨 너희 지체 중에서 싸우는 정욕으로 좇아 난 것이 아니냐
[2] 너희가 욕심을 내어도 얻지 못하고 살인하고 시기하여도 능히 취하지 못하나니 너희가 다투고 싸우는도다 너희가 얻지 못함은 구하지 아니함이요
[3] 구하여도 받지 못함은 정욕으로 쓰려고 잘못 구함이니라
[4] 간음하는 여자들이여 세상에 벗된 것이 하나님의 원수임을 알지 못하느뇨 그런즉 누구든지 세상과 벗이 되고자 하는 자는 스스로 하나님과 원수 되게 하는 것이니라
[5] 너희가 하나님이 우리 속에 거하게 하신 성령이 시기하기까지 사모한다 하신 말씀을 헛된 줄로 생각하느뇨
[6] 그러나 더욱 큰 은혜를 주시나니 그러므로 일렀으되 하나님이 교만한 자를 물리치시고 겸손한 자에게 은혜를 주신다 하였느니라
[7] 그런즉 너희는 하나님께 순복할지어다 마귀를 대적하라 그리하면 너희를 피하리라
[8] 하나님을 가까이 하라 그리하면 너희를 가까이 하시리라 죄인들아 손을 깨끗이 하라 두 마음을 품은 자들아 마음을 성결케 하라
[9] 슬퍼하며 애통하며 울지어다 너희 웃음을 애통으로, 너희 즐거움을 근심으로 바꿀지어다
[10] 주 앞에서 낮추라 그리하면 주께서 너희를 높이시리라
