IN THIS VERY ROOM		바로 이 방 안에
[ John 20:19 - 20:29 ] - hymn 92 Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, "Peace to you!" - John 20:26 At our church we often sing the beautiful song by Ron and Carol Harris: "In This Very Room." It begins, "In this very room there's quite enough love for one like me." This song reminds me that although there is great encouragement in gath-ering with other Christians for wor-ship, the important thing is that Christ is present. But it goes beyond that. He is with us not just at church but in every room of our lives. I wonder where you're reading this-a kitchen, a coffee shop, a prison cell, a military post? Perhaps you're in a hospital or a courtroom. It may be a room that reflects everything that's right in your life or a place that represents all that's wrong. And you might be afraid. In the aftermath of the awful reality of Jesus' crucifixion, His followers met in a familiar room. John records that "when the doors were shut [locked] where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, 'Peace be with you'"(John 20:19). A week later it happened again when Jesus entered through locked doors to bring peace through His presence (vv.26-29). Wherever you are today, "There's quite enough hope and quite enough power to chase away any gloom, for Jesus, Lord Jesus, is in this very room."- David McCasland		[ 요한복음 20:19 - 20:29 ] - 찬송가 92 장 문들이 닫혔는데 예수께서 오사 가운데 서서 이르시되 너희에게 평강이 있을지어다 하시고 - 요한복음 20:26 우리 교회에서는 론과 캐롤 해리스가 지은 “바로 이 방 안에”라는 아름다운 노래를 자주 부릅니다. 이 노래는 “나 같은 사람을 위한 정말 충분한 사랑이 바로 이 방 안에 있네.”로 시작됩니다. 이 노래가 나에게 일깨워주는 것은 비록 예배를 위해 여러 그리스도인들과 함께 모이는 것이 서로에게 큰 격려가 되긴 하지만, 중요한 것은 그리스도께서 그 자리에 함께 계신다는 사실입니다. 그러나 그것이 전부가 아닙니다. 주님은 교회뿐만 아니라 우리 삶의 모든 자리에 우리와 함께 계십니다. 당신이 지금 이 글을 어디에서 읽고 있는지 궁금합니다. 부엌인가요, 커피숍인가요, 감옥인가요, 군대 막사인가요? 병원이나 법정일지도 모릅니다. 그곳은 당신의 삶에서 옳은 것만을 보여주는 방일 수도 있고, 당신의 삶에서 잘못된 것만을 보여주는 장소일 수도 있습니다. 당신은 두려워하고 있을지도 모릅니다. 예수님이 십자가에 못 박히신 끔찍한 사건 이후에, 주님의 제자들이 전에 자주 만나던 방에서 만났습니다. 요한은 “제자들이 유대인들을 두려워하여 모인 곳의 문들을 닫았더니 예수께서 오사 가운데 서서 이르시되 너희에게 평강이 있을지어다”(요 20:19) 라고 기록하였습니다. 일주일 후에 똑같은 일이 다시 일어났습니다. 예수님은 잠긴 문들을 지나 들어오셔서 함께 하여주심으로 평강을 베풀어주셨습니다(26-29절). “주 예수님이 바로 이 방 안에 계시니, 어떤 슬픔도 멀리 쫓아낼만한 충분한 희망과 능력이 여기 있네.” 당신이 오늘 어디에 있더라도 그렇습니다.

John 20:19-29

[19] Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, "Peace be with you."
[20] When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.
[21] So Jesus said to them again, "Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you."
[22] And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit.
[23] "If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained."
[24] Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came.
[25] The other disciples therefore said to him, "We have seen the Lord." So he said to them, "Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe."
[26] And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, "Peace to you!"
[27] Then He said to Thomas, "Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing."
[28] And Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!"
[29] Jesus said to him, "Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

인생 중에 어떤 문제들이 있고
환란과 무거운 짐으로 등이 휘어질 때
예수님이 항상 거기 계신다는 사실이
얼마나 놀랍고 깊은 위안이 되는지

사랑의 하나님이 항상 가까이, 영원히 우리 곁에 계신다.

요한복음 20:19-29

[19] 이 날 곧 안식 후 첫날 저녁 때에 제자들이 유대인들을 두려워하여 모인 곳에 문들을 닫았더니 예수께서 오사 가운데 서서 가라사대 너희에게 평강이 있을지어다
[20] 이 말씀을 하시고 손과 옆구리를 보이시니 제자들이 주를 보고 기뻐하더라
[21] 예수께서 또 가라사대 너희에게 평강이 있을지어다 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것 같이 나도 너희를 보내노라
[22] 이 말씀을 하시고 저희를 향하사 숨을 내쉬며 가라사대 성령을 받으라
[23] 너희가 뉘 죄든지 사하면 사하여질 것이요 뉘 죄든지 그대로 두면 그대로 있으리라 하시니라
[24] 열두 제자 중에 하나인 디두모라 하는 도마는 예수 오셨을 때에 함께 있지 아니한지라
[25] 다른 제자들이 그에게 이르되 우리가 주를 보았노라 하니 도마가 가로되 내가 그 손의 못자국을 보며 내 손가락을 그 못자국에 넣으며 내 손을 그 옆구리에 넣어 보지 않고는 믿지 아니하겠노라 하니라
[26] 여드레를 지나서 제자들이 다시 집 안에 있을 때에 도마도 함께 있고 문들이 닫혔는데 예수께서 오사 가운데 서서 가라사대 너희에게 평강이 있을지어다 하시고
[27] 도마에게 이르시되 네 손가락을 이리 내밀어 내 손을 보고 네 손을 내밀어 내 옆구리에 넣어보라 그리하고 믿음 없는 자가 되지 말고 믿는 자가 되라
[28] 도마가 대답하여 가로되 나의 주시며 나의 하나님이시니이다
[29] 예수께서 가라사대 너는 나를 본 고로 믿느냐 보지 못하고 믿는 자들은 복되도다 하시니라
