CARICATURE GOD		캐리커쳐 하나님
[ Exodus 34:1 - 34:9 ] - hymn 19 The LORD is longsuffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He by no means clears the guilty. - Numbers 14:18 Caricature artists set up their easels in public places and draw pic-tures of people who are willing to pay a modest price for a humorous image of themselves. Their drawings amuse us because they exaggerate one or more of our physical features in a way that is recognizable but funny. Caricatures of God, on the other hand, are not funny. Exaggerating one of His attributes presents a distorted view that people easily dismiss. Like a caricature, a distorted view of God is not taken seriously. Those who see God portrayed only as an angry and demanding judge are easily lured away by someone who emphasizes mercy. Those who see God as a kind-hearted grandfather will reject that image when they need justice. Those who see God as an intellectual idea rather than a living, loving being eventually fi-nd other ideas more appealing. Those who see God as a best friend often leave Him behind when they fi-nd human friends who are more to their liking. God declares Himself to be merciful and gracious, but also just in punishing the guilty (Ex. 34:6-7). As we put our faith into action, we need to avoid portray-ing God as having only our favorite attributes. We must wor-ship all of God, not just what we like. - Julie Ackerman Link		[ 출애굽기 34:1 - 34:9 ] - 찬송가 19 장 여호와는 노하기를 더디하시고 인자가 많아 죄악과 허물을 사하시나 형벌받을 자는 결단코 사하지 아니하시고 - 민수기 14:18 캐리커쳐(희화, 戱畵) 작가들은 공공장소에 이젤을 세워 놓고 적당한 가격으로 사람들에게 익살스러운 이미지의 초상화를 그려줍니다. 그들은 우리의 신체적 특징 한 가지 이상을 잘 알아차리도록, 그러나 재미나게 과장하기 때문에 그들의 그림은 우리를 즐겁게 합니다. 그러나 하나님을 그린 캐리커쳐는 재미있지 않습니다. 하나님의 속성들 가운데 한 가지를 과장하여 그리면 하나님의 모습은 왜곡되고, 사람들은 그 모습을 쉽게 잊어버립니다. 캐리커쳐와 마찬가지로 왜곡된 하나님의 모습은 진지하게 받아들여지지 않기 때문입니다. 하나님을 진노하시는 혹독한 심판자로만 생각하는 사람들은 하나님의 자비를 강조하는 사람들을 만나면 심판자로서의 하나님은 깨끗이 잊어버립니다. 하나님을 마음씨 좋은 할아버지처럼 보는 사람들은 그들에게 정의가 필요할 때에는 그 같은 할아버지의 이미지를 버릴 것입니다. 하나님을 살아계시며 사랑하시는 존재라기보다는 하나의 지적인 관념으로 보는 사람들은 언젠가는 다른 관념들이 더 매력적이라는 것을 알게 됩니다. 하나님을 제일 좋은 친구로 보는 사람들은 더 마음에 드는 인간 친구들을 만나면 종종 하나님을 떠나버립니다. 하나님은 스스로 자비롭고 인자하다고 말씀하시지만, 동시에 죄를 벌하시는 데에도 공정하다고 말씀하십니다(출 34:6-7). 우리의 신앙을 행동으로 옮길 때, 우리는 하나님을 우리 마음에 드는 속성들만 가지신 하나님으로 왜곡해 보지 말아야 합니다. 우리는 우리가 좋아하는 속성뿐만 아니라 하나님의 전부를 경배해야 합니다.

Exodus 34:1-9

[1] And the LORD said to Moses, "Cut two tablets of stone like the first ones, and I will write on these tablets the words that were on the first tablets which you broke.
[2] "So be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself to Me there on the top of the mountain.
[3] "And no man shall come up with you, and let no man be seen throughout all the mountain; let neither flocks nor herds feed before that mountain."
[4] So he cut two tablets of stone like the first ones. Then Moses rose early in the morning and went up Mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him; and he took in his hand the two tablets of stone.
[5] Now the LORD descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.
[6] And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth,
[7] "keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children's children to the third and the fourth generation."
[8] So Moses made haste and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshiped.
[9] Then he said, "If now I have found grace in Your sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray, go among us, even though we are a stiff-necked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us as Your inheritance."

성부, 성자, 그리고 성령
오, 복되신 삼위일체시여
본질상 하나이나, 세 위격이신
우리의 하나님, 당신을 경배합니다

우리가 믿는 하나님은 전능하시고, 자비우시고,

출애굽기 34:1-9

[1] 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 너는 돌판 둘을 처음 것과 같이 깍아 만들라 네가 깨뜨린 바 처음 것과 같이 깎아 만들라 네가 깨뜨린 바 처음 판에 있던 말을 내가 그 판에 쓰리니
[2] 아침 전에 예비하고 아침에 시내 산에 올라와 산꼭대기에서 내게 보이되
[3] 아무도 너와 함께 오르지 말며 온 산에 인적을 금하고 양과 소도 산 앞에서 먹지 못하게 하라
[4] 모세가 돌판 둘을 처음 것과 같이 깎아 만들고 아침에 일찍이 일어나 그 두 돌판을 손에 들고 여호와의 명대로 시내 산에 올라가니
[5] 여호와께서 구름 가운데 강림하사 그와 함께 거기 서서 여호와의 이름을 반포하실새
[6] 여호와께서 그의 앞으로 지나시며 반포하시되 여호와로라 여호와로라 자비롭고 은혜롭고 노하기를 더디하고 인자와 진실이 많은 하나님이로라
[7] 인자를 천대까지 베풀며 악과 과실과 죄를 용서하나 형벌 받을 자는 결단코 면죄하지 않고 아비의 악을 자녀손 삼사 대까지 보응하리라
[8] 모세가 급히 땅에 엎드리어 경배하며
[9] 가로되 주여 내가 주께 은총을 입었거든 원컨대 주는 우리 중에서 행하옵소서 이는 목이 곧은 백성이니이다 우리의 악과 죄를 사하시고 우리로 주의 기업을 삼으소서
