Purge Out The Old		묵은 것 내버리기
[ 1 Corinthians 5:1 - 5:13 ] - hymn 215 Purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. — 1 Corinthians 5:7 Several days before their New Year celebration, many Chinese families give their home a thorough cleaning. There¡¯s a Cantonese saying that goes: ¡°Wash away the dirt on ninyabaat¡±(28th day of month 12). They practice this tradition because it is believed the cleaning sweeps away the bad luck of the preceding year and makes their homes ready for good luck. When the apostle Paul wrote to the believers at Corinth, he asked them to give their lives a thorough cleansing—not for good luck but to please God. He told them to ¡°purge out the old leaven¡±(1 Cor.5:7). Paul used the Jewish feasts of Passover and Unleavened Bread (Ex.12:1-28) as a backdrop for this statement. Leaven (yeast) was a symbol of sin and corruption and was to be removed from Jewish homes to celebrate these festivals (Deut.16:3-4). Because Jesus is the Passover Lamb who cleanses us from sin, the Corinthians were to scour their hearts and remove the leaven of sexual immorality, malice, and wickedness from their lives and their assembly (1 Cor.5:9-13). Out of gratitude to Jesus for His sacrifice, let us purge out the sin in our lives and celebrate the holiness that only He can bring.		[ 고린도전서 5:1 - 5:13 ] - 찬송가 215 장 너희는 누룩 없는 자인데 새 덩어리가 되기 위하여 묵은 누룩을 내어버리라 우리의 유월절 양 곧 그리스도께서 희생이 되셨느니라 - 고린도전서 5:7 많은 중국 가정에서는 새해를 맞이하기 며칠 전에 집안 대청소를 합니다. 광둥어로 “닌야빠(12월 28일)에 먼지를 닦아내자”라는 말이 있습니다. 그들이 이 전통을 지키는 이유는 청소가 지난해의 액운을 쓸어 없애어 집안에 행운을 맞아들일 준비를 해 준다고 믿기 때문입니다. 바울사도는 고린도 성도들에게 보내는 서신을 통해서 행운을 얻기 위해서가 아니라 하나님을 기쁘시게 하기 위하여 그들의 삶을 철저하게 청소하라고 권고했습니다. 그는 그들에게 “묵은 누룩을 내어버리라”(고전 5:7)라고 했습니다. 바울은 유대인의 유월절 절기와 무교병(출 12:1-28)의 유래를 배경으로 삼아 이 말을 전하였습니다. 누룩(이스트)은 죄와 부패의 상징이었기에 유월절 의식을 거행하기 전에 유대인 가정에서 치워버려야만 했습니다(신 16:3-4). 예수님은 우리의 죄를 대속한 유월절 희생양이었기에 고린도 성도들은 마음을 정결하게 하고 성적 부도덕, 악의, 그리고 사악함을 그들 개인의 삶과 교회에서 제거해야만 했던 것이었습니다(고전 5:9-13). 예수님의 희생에 보답하기 위해 우리 삶속의 죄를 깨끗하게 씻어버리고 주님만이 베푸실 수 있는 거룩함을 마음껏 누립시다.

Sin¡¯s contamination requires the Savior¡¯s cleansing.

1 Corinthians 5:1-13

[1] It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles--that a man has his father's wife!
[2] And you are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he who has done this deed might be taken away from among you.
[3] For I indeed, as absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged (as though I were present) him who has so done this deed.
[4] In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, along with my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
[5] deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
[6] Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?
[7] Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.
[8] Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
[9] I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people.
[10] Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world.
[11] But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner--not even to eat with such a person.
[12] For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside?
[13] But those who are outside God judges. Therefore "put away from yourselves the evil person."

거룩하신 하나님은
순전한 마음을 요구하시며
그의 은혜와 거룩하심이 연합하여
죄로부터 마음을 정결케 하시네

죄로 물든 우리는 구세주가 씻겨 주어야한다.

고린도전서 5:1-13

[1] 너희 중에 심지어 음행이 있다 함을 들으니 그런 음행은 이방인 중에서도 없는 것이라 누가 그 아버지의 아내를 취하였다 하는도다
[2] 그리하고도 너희가 오히려 교만하여져서 어찌하여 통한히 여기지 아니하고 그 일 행한 자를 너희 중에서 쫓아내지 아니하였느냐
[3] 내가 실로 몸으로는 떠나 있으나 영으로는 함께 있어서 거기 있는 것 같이 이런 일 행한 자를 이미 판단하였노라
[4] 주 예수의 이름으로 너희가 내 영과 함께 모여서 우리 주 예수의 능력으로
[5] 이런 자를 사탄에게 내어주었으니 이는 육신은 멸하고 영은 주 예수의 날에 구원을 받게 하려 함이라
[6] 너희가 자랑하는 것이 옳지 아니하도다 적은 누룩이 온 덩어리에 퍼지는 것을 알지 못하느냐
[7] 너희는 누룩 없는 자인데 새 덩어리가 되기 위하여 묵은 누룩을 내버리라 우리의 유월절 양 곧 그리스도께서 희생되셨느니라
[8] 이러므로 우리가 명절을 지키되 묵은 누룩으로도 말고 악하고 악의에 찬 누룩으로도 말고 누룩이 없이 오직 순전함과 진실함의 떡으로 하자
[9] 내가 너희에게 쓴 편지에 음행하는 자들을 사귀지 말라 하였거니와
[10] 이 말은 이 세상의 음행하는 자들이나 탐하는 자들이나 속여 빼앗는 자들이나 우상 숭배하는 자들을 도무지 사귀지 말라 하는 것이 아니니 만일 그리하려면 너희가 세상 밖으로 나가야 할 것이라
[11] 이제 내가 너희에게 쓴 것은 만일 어떤 형제라 일컫는 자가 음행하거나 탐욕을 부리거나 우상 숭배를 하거나 모욕하거나 술 취하거나 속여 빼앗거든 사귀지도 말고 그런 자와는 함께 먹지도 말라 함이라
[12] 밖에 있는 사람들을 판단하는 것이야 내게 무슨 상관이 있으리요마는 교회 안에 있는 사람들이야 너희가 판단하지 아니하랴
[13] 밖에 있는 사람들은 하나님이 심판하시려니와 이 악한 사람은 너희 중에서 내쫓으라
