Each Life A Gift		모든 생명은 선물
[ Psalms 139:1 - 139:16 ] - hymn 78 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. — Psalm 139:14 A young woman was pregnant but unmarried. And even though she lived in a society that didn¡¯t place a high value on unborn life, she wisely chose to allow her baby to live. The child, whom she generously made available for adoption, became part of a loving Christian family who nurtured their precious daughter, loved her, and showed her the way to Christ. Before that girl reached adulthood, however, she died. Her death left a massive void in her family¡¯s life, but it also left behind memories of childhood joy and youthful enthusiasm. Sure, her death created a gaping hole in the hearts of all who loved her, but imagine what they would have missed had they never held her in their arms, shared Jesus with her, laughed with her, taught her, and cherished her. Every life—every child—is a wonderfully made sample of God¡¯s handiwork(Ps.139). Every human is an image-bearing likeness of God (Gen.1:27) and a descendant of our first God-breathed parent, Adam. Death robs us of a certain completion we desire in a life, but it also reminds us of the value of each life God creates (Col.1:16). Cherish the gift of life and savor the joy of God¡¯s handiwork.		[ 시편 139:1 - 139:16 ] - 찬송가 78 장 내가 주께 감사하옴은 나를 지으심이 신묘막측 하심이라 - 시편 139:14 어느 젊은 여인이 임신을 했는데 그녀는 미혼이었습니다. 태어나지 않은 생명에 높은 가치를 두지 않는 사회에서 살고 있었지만, 그녀는 아기가 태어나 살 수 있도록 현명한 결정을 내렸습니다. 엄마는 기꺼이 아기가 입양될 수 있게 하였고, 그 아기는 사랑이 많은 기독교 가정의 일원이 되었습니다. 그 가정은 그 소중한 딸을 양육하고 사랑하였으며, 그리스도께로 나아갈 수 있도록 도와주었습니다. 그러나 그 소녀는 성인이 되기 전에 죽었습니다. 그녀의 죽음은 그녀의 가족의 삶에 엄청난 공허함을 남겼지만, 즐거운 어린 시절과 열정적인 청소년기의 기억들을 남겨주었습니다. 물론 그녀의 죽음은 그녀를 사랑했던 모두의 마음에 메울 수 없는 커다란 구멍을 내버렸습니다. 하지만 그녀를 품에 안고, 그녀와 예수님을 나누고, 그녀와 함께 웃고, 그녀를 가르치고, 그녀를 소중히 기르지 않았다면, 그들 모두의 생에서 놓쳐버렸을 것들을 상상해 보십시오. 모든 생명, 모든 아기는 하나님의 솜씨를 나타내는 기막힌 표본입니다(시 139). 모든 인간은 하나님의 형상으로 창조되었으며(창 1:27), 하나님의 생기로 만들어진 최초의 조상인 아담의 후손입니다. 죽음은 한 생애에서 우리가 바라는 일종의 완성을 앗아 버립니다. 하지만 그것은 또한 하나님이 창조하신 각 생명의 가치를(골 1:16) 상기시켜 줍니다. 생명의 선물을 소중히 여기고 하나님의 작품을 기쁘게 즐깁시다.

Psalm 139:1-16

[1] For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. O LORD, You have searched me and known me.
[2] You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.
[3] You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways.
[4] For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O LORD, You know it altogether.
[5] You have hedged me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me.
[6] Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain it.
[7] Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?
[8] If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
[9] If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
[10] Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me.
[11] If I say, "Surely the darkness shall fall on me," Even the night shall be light about me;
[12] Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, But the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You.
[13] For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb.
[14] I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.
[15] My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
[16] Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.

모든 창조된 생명이
하나님의 솜씨를 나타낸다네
주의 창조물을 소중히 여김으로
우린 주의 지으신 것들을 가치롭게 한다네

모든 생명은 하나님에 의해 창조되었고
하나님의 서명을 보여준다.

시편 139:1-16

[1] 여호와여 주께서 나를 살펴 보셨으므로 나를 아시나이다
[2] 주께서 내가 앉고 일어섬을 아시고 멀리서도 나의 생각을 밝히 아시오며
[3] 나의 모든 길과 내가 눕는 것을 살펴보셨으므로 나의 모든 행위를 익히 아시오니
[4] 여호와여 내 혀의 말을 알지 못하시는 것이 하나도 없으시니이다
[5] 주께서 나의 앞뒤를 둘러싸시고 내게 안수하셨나이다
[6] 이 지식이 내게 너무 기이하니 높아서 내가 능히 미치지 못하나이다
[7] 내가 주의 영을 떠나 어디로 가며 주의 앞에서 어디로 피하리이까
[8] 내가 하늘에 올라갈지라도 거기 계시며 스올에 내 자리를 펼지라도 거기 계시니이다
[9] 내가 새벽 날개를 치며 바다 끝에 가서 거주할지라도
[10] 거기서도 주의 손이 나를 인도하시며 주의 오른손이 나를 붙드시리이다
[11] 내가 혹시 말하기를 흑암이 반드시 나를 덮고 나를 두른 빛은 밤이 되리라 할지라도
[12] 주에게서는 흑암이 숨기지 못하며 밤이 낮과 같이 비추이나니 주에게는 흑암과 빛이 같음이니이다
[13] 주께서 내 내장을 지으시며 나의 모태에서 나를 만드셨나이다
[14] 내가 주께 감사하옴은 나를 지으심이 심히 기묘하심이라 주께서 하시는 일이 기이함을 내 영혼이 잘 아나이다
[15] 내가 은밀한 데서 지음을 받고 땅의 깊은 곳에서 기이하게 지음을 받은 때에 나의 형체가 주의 앞에 숨겨지지 못하였나이다
[16] 내 형질이 이루어지기 전에 주의 눈이 보셨으며 나를 위하여 정한 날이 하루도 되기 전에 주의 책에 다 기록이 되었나이다
