Attracting The Lost		길 잃은 자의 주의 끌기
[ 2 Corinthians 5:12 - 5:21 ] - hymn 276 I have come as a light into the world. — John 12:46 My friend Anna often has people stop her on the street and ask for directions. This has happened to her even in countries where she is a foreigner. She wonders if it¡¯s because she has an honest face and looks trustworthy. I suggested that perhaps it¡¯s because she looks as if she knows where she¡¯s going. Another friend said that maybe she attracts the lost. All of those attributes should be true of God¡¯s people in the spiritual sense. As believers, we have purpose and direction, we know where we¡¯re going, and we know how to get there. This gives us confidence as we go about fulfilling God¡¯s call in our lives. When this kind of confidence is evident to others, the lost will look to us for direction. God has always maintained a presence on earth so that people could find Him. His first light for the world was the nation of Israel (Isa.42:6). Then Solomon prayed that God¡¯s great name would draw people to Himself (1 Kings 8:41-43). The light of the Jewish nation culminated in Jesus, ¡°the light of the world¡±(John 9:5). And now, followers of Jesus are to be the light of the world (Matt.5:14). As such, it is our responsibility to show people the way to be reconciled to God (2 Cor.5:18).		[ 고린도후서 5:12 - 5:21 ] - 찬송가 276 장 나는 빛으로 세상에 왔나니 - 요한복음 12:46 사람들은 거리에서 종종 내 친구 애나를 멈추어 세우고 길을 묻곤 합니다. 이런 일이 심지어 그녀가 외국에 있을 때에도 일어났습니다. 그녀는 자신의 정직해 보이는 인상과 신뢰가 가는 외모 때문에 그렇지 않을까 생각합니다. 나는 그녀 자신이 어디로 가는지 잘 아는 것처럼 보여서 그럴 것이라고 했습니다. 다른 친구는 아마도 그녀가 길 잃은 사람들의 주의를 끄는 것 같다고 했습니다. 영적인 의미에서 하나님의 사람들은 이런 속성들을 모두 가지고 있어야만 합니다. 믿는 사람들인 우리에게는 목적과 방향이 있어서 어디로 가고 있는지, 또 어떻게 그곳으로 가는지 알고 있습니다. 이것이 우리가 하나님께서 우리의 삶에 주신 소명을 이행할 수 있도록 확신을 줍니다. 이런 확신이 다른 사람들에게 분명하게 보일 때 길 잃은 사람들은 우리에게 길을 물을 것입니다. 사람들이 하나님을 발견할 수 있도록 하나님은 언제나 이 땅에 임재하십니다. 세상을 향한 주님의 첫 번째 빛은 이스라엘이라는 나라였습니다(사 42:6). 그리고 솔로몬은 하나님의 위대하신 이름이 만민을 하나님 앞으로 인도하기를 기도했습니다(왕상 8:41-43). 유대 나라의 빛은 “세상의 빛” 되신 예수님으로 완성이 되었습니다(요 9:5). 이제는 예수님을 따르는 사람들이 세상의 빛이 되어야 합니다(마 5:14). 따라서 사람들에게 하나님과 화목할 수 있는 길을 보여주는 것이 우리들의 책임입니다(고후 5:18).

To lead others out of the darkness of sin, let them see your light.

2 Corinthians 5:12-21

[12] For we do not commend ourselves again to you, but give you opportunity to boast on our behalf, that you may have an answer for those who boast in appearance and not in heart.
[13] For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God; or if we are of sound mind, it is for you.
[14] For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died;
[15] and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
[16] Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer.
[17] Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
[18] Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,
[19] that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
[20] Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God.
[21] For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

당신은 세상의 빛이 되도록
구주의 등불을 높이 들도록
다른 사람들이 주님의 빛을 볼 수 있도록
거룩한 부름 받았네

다른 사람을 죄의 어둠으로부터 벗어나게 하기 위해서

고린도후서 5:12-21

[12] 우리가 다시 너희에게 자천하는 것이 아니요 오직 우리로 말미암아 자랑할 기회를 너희에게 주어 마음으로 하지 않고 외모로 자랑하는 자들을에게 대답하게 하려 하는 것이라
[13] 우리가 만일 미쳤어도 하나님을 위한 것이요 만일 정신이 온전하여도 너희를 위한 것이니
[14] 그리스도의 사랑이 우리를 강권하시는도다 우리가 생각하건대 한 사람이 모든 사람을 대신하여 죽었은즉 모든 사람이 죽은 것이라
[15] 그가 모든 사람을 대신하여 죽으심은 살아 있는 자들로 하여금 다시는 그들 자신을 위하여 살지 않고 오직 그들을 대신하여 죽었다가 다시 살아나신 이를 위하여 살게 하려 함이라
[16] 그러므로 우리가 이제부터는 어떤 사람도 육신을 따라 알지 아니하노라 비록 우리가 그리스도도 육신을 따라 알았으나 이제부터는 그같이 알지 아니하노라
[17] 그런즉 누구든지 그리스도 안에 있으면 새로운 피조물이라 이전 것은 지나갔으니 보라 새 것이 되었도다
[18] 모든 것이 하나님께로서 났으며 그가 그리스도로 말미암아 우리를 자기와 화목하게 하시고 또 우리에게 화목하게 하는 직분을 주셨으니
[19] 곧 하나님께서 그리스도 안에 계시사 세상을 자기와 화목하게 하시며 그들의 죄를 그들에게 돌리지 아니하시고 화목하게 하는 말씀을 우리에게 부탁하셨느니라
[20] 그러므로 우리가 그리스도를 대신하여 사신이 되어 하나님이 우리를 통하여 너희를 권면하시는 것 같이 그리스도를 대신하여 간청하노니 너희는 하나님과 화목하라
[21] 하나님이 죄를 알지도 못하신 이를 우리를 대신하여 죄로 삼으신 것은 우리로 하여금 그 안에서 하나님의 의가 되게 하려 하심이라
