Throw The Book At Him		말씀으로 반격하라
[ Matthew 4:1 - 4:11 ] - hymn 235 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. — Matthew 4:1 Things were off to a great start for Jesus at the beginning of His ministry. In Matthew 3, He was baptized and heard the affirming words of His Father, ¡°This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased¡± (v.17). But then things took a turn for the worse. What happened next—Jesus¡¯ temptation in the wilderness—was not a mere coincidence. The Holy Spirit led Him into this face-off between the powers of heaven and hell. Thankfully, Jesus¡¯ victory in the face of temptation provides a great example when we find ourselves in the wilderness of Satan¡¯s sinister seductions. Notice that the tempter caught Jesus at a time when He was tired and hungry. Satan uses the same tactic with us. Waiting for those vulnerable moments, he lures us with the bait of seductive suggestions that offer quick relief and opportunities for self-advancement. When facing such challenges, it¡¯s important to follow Jesus¡¯ example—throw ¡°the Book¡± at Satan! Jesus responded to temptation by quoting Scripture: ¡°Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God¡±(Matt.4:4; see Deut.8:3). The Bible is full of verses about lust, greed, lying, and other sins. If we tuck them away in our memory, we can use them when under attack. It¡¯s our best chance for success!		[ 마태복음 4:1 - 4:11 ] - 찬송가 235 장 예수께서 성령에게 이끌리어 마귀에게 시험을 받으러 광야로 가사－마태복음 4:1 예수님의 사역은 처음에는 매우 순조로웠습니다. 마태복음 3장에서 그 분은 세례를 받으셨고, 아버지로부터 다음과 같은 확실한 말씀을 들으셨습니다. “이는 내 사랑하는 아들이요 내 기뻐하는 자라”(17절). 그러나 그 다음부터 상태가 악화되기 시작했습니다. 그 다음에 일어났던 일, 곧 광야에서 예수님이 받으셨던 시험은 우연이 아니었습니다. 성령께서 예수님을 천국과 지옥의 권능의 대결로 이끄셨습니다. 감사하게도 예수님께서 유혹을 물리치시고 승리하신 것은 우리가 사탄의 유혹으로 가득한 광야 속에 있음을 알게 될 때 좋은 본보기가 됩니다. 예수님이 지치고 주린 상태에서 시험받았다는 사실을 주목하십시오. 사탄은 우리에게도 이와 똑같은 방법을 사용합니다. 사탄은 우리가 그와 같이 취약한 상태에 빠지기를 기다렸다가, 그러한 상태에서 신속히 벗어나 혼자 힘으로 더 좋은 자리로 나아갈 수 있는 기회를 제공하겠다는 감언이설을 미끼로 우리를 유혹합니다. 이러한 도전을 받게 되면 예수님의 본을 따르는 것이 중요합니다. 사탄에게 “말씀”으로 반격하십시오! 예수님께서는 성경 말씀을 인용하셔서 유혹에 대응하셨습니다. “사람이 떡으로만 살 것이 아니요 하나님의 입으로 나오는 모든 말씀으로 살 것이라”(마 4:4; 신 8:3). 성경은 음욕, 탐욕, 거짓 또 그 외의 죄들에 관한 구절로 가득 차 있습니다. 그 구절들을 우리의 기억 속에 간직해두고 있으면 공격을 당했을 때 요긴하게 쓸 수 있습니다. 그것이 우리가 성공할 수 있는 가장 좋은 방법이지요!

When Satan strikes, strike back with the Word of God.

Matthew 4:1-11

[1] Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
[2] And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry.
[3] Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, "If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread."
[4] But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'"
[5] Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple,
[6] and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written£º 'He shall give His angels charge over you,' and, 'In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.'"
[7] Jesus said to him, "It is written again, 'You shall not tempt the LORD your God.'"
[8] Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.
[9] And he said to Him, "All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me."
[10] Then Jesus said to him, "Away with you, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.'"
[11] Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.

날카로운 불화살로 공격하는
유혹자를 직면한 적이 없다면
하나님을 신뢰하는 믿음이 주는
승리를 경험하지 못한다오

사탄이 공격하면 하나님의 말씀으로 반격하라.

마태복음 4:1-11

[1] 그 때에 예수께서 성령에게 이끌리어 마귀에게 시험을 받으러 광야로 가사
[2] 사십 일을 밤낮으로 금식하신 후에 주리신지라
[3] 시험하는 자가 예수께 나아와서 이르되 네가 만일 하나님의 아들이어든 명하여 이 돌들로 떡덩이가 되게 하라
[4] 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 기록되었으되 사람이 떡으로만 살 것이 아니요 하나님의 입으로부터 나오는 모든 말씀으로 살 것이라 하였느니라 하시니
[5] 이에 마귀가 예수를 거룩한 성으로 데려다가 성전 꼭대기에 세우고
[6] 이르되 네가 만일 하나님의 아들이어든 뛰어내리라 기록되었으되 그가 너를 위하여 그의 사자들을 명하시리니 그들이 손으로 너를 받들어 발이 돌에 부딪치지 않게 하리로다 하였느니라
[7] 예수께서 이르시되 또 기록되었으되 주 너의 하나님을 시험하지 말라 하였느니라 하시니
[8] 마귀가 또 그를 데리고 지극히 높은 산으로 가서 천하 만국과 그 영광을 보여
[9] 이르되 만일 내게 엎드려 경배하면 이 모든 것을 네게 주리라
[10] 이에 예수께서 말씀하시되 사탄아 물러가라 기록되었으되 주 너의 하나님께 경배하고 다만 그를 섬기라 하였느니라
[11] 이에 마귀는 예수를 떠나고 천사들이 나아와서 수종드니라
