A MATTER OF OPINION?		문제는 의견이 아니야
[ Matthew 16:13 - 16:20 ] - hymn 204 [Jesus] said to them, ¡°But who do you say that I am?¡± - Matthew 16:15 We live in an age dominated by all kinds of public opinion polls. Decisions are being driven by the crowd, and some of that is good. Sur-veys can inform us about people¡¯s experiences with products, helping us make wiser purchases. Opinion polls can give government officials a sense of how their policy initiatives will be received. While information gleaned is a matter of personal opinion, it can be helpful in shaping decision-making on a variety of levels. But when it comes to the most important question for all eternity, a public opinion poll cannot give us the answer. We must answer for our-selves. In Matthew 16, Jesus took His disciples to Caesarea Philippi and asked a question about public opinion: ¡°Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?¡¯ (v.13). The answers were var-ied, and all were complimentary -but none was adequate. That¡¯s why Jesus then asked His disciples, ¡°But who do you say that I am?¡± (v.15). Peter got the answer right ¡°You are the Christ, the Son of the living God¡± (v.16). Public opinion can help answer certain questions, but not the one question that will determine your eternity: Who do you say that Jesus is? If you agree with Scripture, and place your trust in Christ, you will have eternal life. - Bill Crowder		[ 마태복음 16:13 - 16:20 ] - 찬송가 204 장 가라사대 너희는 나를 누구라 하느냐－마태복음 16:15 우리들은 각종 여론조사에 의해 영향을 받는 시대에 살고 있습니다. 대중의 의견에 따라 각종 결정이 이루어지는데, 종종 바람직한 것도 있습니다. 시장조사는 상품에 대한 대중의 경험을 알려 주어 물건을 보다 현명하게 구입하는데 도움이 됩니다. 여론조사는 정부 관리들로 하여금 실시하려는 정책이 어떻게 받아들여 질 것인지 판단할 수 있게 해줍니다. 수집된 정보는 개개인의 견해에 불과하지만 다양한 수준의 의사 결정 과정에서 도움이 될 수 있습니다. 그러나 우리 모두에게 가장 중요한 영원의 문제에 직면하게 되면 여론조사로는 그 답을 얻을 수 없습니다. 우리자신이 스스로 답을 해야 합니다. 마태복음16장에서 예수님께서 제자들을 데리고 가이사랴 빌립보 지방으로 가셔서 여론이 어떤지 물어보셨습니다. “사람들이 인자를 누구라 하느냐?”(13절). 여러 가지 대답이 나왔고 모두 다 호의적이었으나 적절한 답변은 없었습니다. 그래서 예수님은 제자들에게 “너희는 나를 누구라 하느냐”(15절)하고 물었습니다. 베드로가 “주는 그리스도시요 살아 계신 하나님의 아들이시니이다”(16절)라고 정확하게 대답했습니다. 여론은 어떤 질문들에 대한 답을 구하는 데는 도움이 될 수 있지만, 당신의 영원을 결정하는 그 한 가지 문제에는 도움을 주지 못합니다. 당신은 예수님을 누구라고 하겠습니까? 당신이 성경말씀을 인정하고 그리스도를 믿는다면 당신은 영생을 소유할 수 있습니다.

Matthew 16:13-20

[13] When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, "Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?"
[14] So they said, "Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets."
[15] He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?"
[16] Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
[17] Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.
[18] "And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
[19] "And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
[20] Then He commanded His disciples that they should tell no one that He was Jesus the Christ.

사람들이 주님에 대해
무엇을 믿는가는 중요한 것이 아니라네
정작 중요한 것은 당신이
하나님이 성경에서 말씀하신 것을 믿는 것이라네

의견은 하나님 말씀의 진리를 대신하지 못한다.

[14] 이르되 더러는 침례 요한, 더러는 엘리야, 어떤 이는 예레미야나 선지자 중의 하나라 하나이다

[16] 시몬 베드로가 대답하여 이르되 주는 그리스도시요 살아 계신 하나님의 아들이시니이다
[17] 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 바요나 시몬아 네가 복이 있도다 이를 네게 알게 한 이는 혈육이 아니요 하늘에 계신 내 아버지시니라
[18] 또 내가 네게 이르노니 너는 베드로라 내가 이 반석 위에 내 교회를 세우리니 음부의 권세가 이기지 못하리라
[19] 내가 천국 열쇠를 네게 주리니 네가 땅에서 무엇이든지 매면 하늘에서도 매일 것이요 네가 땅에서 무엇이든지 풀면 하늘에서도 풀리리라 하시고
[20] 이에 제자들에게 경고하사 자기가 그리스도인 것을 아무에게도 이르지 말라 하시니라
