Two Rules To Live By		삶의 두 가지 규칙
[ Matthew 22:34 - 22:40 ] - hymn 369 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets. — Matthew 22:40 Have you ever felt overwhelmed by rules and expectations? Think of how the Jewish people must have felt as they tried to keep up with more than 600 rules from the Old Testament and many more that had been imposed on them by the religious leaders of their day. And imagine their surprise when Jesus simplified the pursuit of righteousness by narrowing the list down to just two—¡°love the Lord your God¡± (Matt. 22:37) and ¡°love your neighbor as yourself¡± (v.39). In essence, Jesus is telling us that the way God knows we love Him is by how we treat people. All of them. Let¡¯s face it—loving our neighbor can be a challenge. But when we do it to express our love to God, we unleash a powerful motivation that loves whether the person deserves it or not. And as we love God and our neighbor, everything else falls into place. If I love my neighbor, I won¡¯t bear false witness against him, covet his wealth or his wife, or steal from him. Loving others for God¡¯s sake even provides the grace and strength to forgive those who have heaped injustices upon us. Who needs to see God¡¯s love today through you? The more unlovable the person, the greater the statement about how much you love God!		[ 마태복음 22:34 - 22:40 ] - 찬송가 369 장 이 두 계명이 온 율법과 선지자의 강령이니라 －마태복음 22:40 규칙과 기대감 때문에 삶이 벅차다 느낀 적이 있습니까? 구약에 있는 육백 개가 넘는 율법과 그 시대의 종교지도자들로부터 더 많은 규율을 지키도록 강요당했던 유대인들의 심정을 헤아려 보십시오. 그런데 예수님께서 “너의 하나님을 사랑하라”(마 22:37) 그리고 “네 이웃을 네 몸과 같이 사랑하라”(39절)라는 두 가지 계명으로 좁혀서 의롭게 되는 길을 단순하게 해 주셨을 때에 그들의 놀라움이 얼마나 대단했을지 상상해 보십시오. 예수님께서 말씀하시고자 하신 것은 한마디로 하나님께서는 우리가 다른 사람을 어떻게 대하는지를 통해 당신을 얼마나 사랑하는가를 아신다는 것입니다. 그것이 전부입니다. 솔직히 말해서 이웃을 사랑하는 것은 상당한 도전입니다. 그러나 우리가 하나님에 대한 우리의 사랑을 표현하기 위해서 이웃사랑을 실천할 때, 그가 사랑을 받을 자격이 있거나 없거나 무조건 사랑할 수 있는 강력한 동기가 솟아나게 됩니다. 그래서 우리가 하나님을 사랑하고 우리의 이웃을 사랑하면 다른 모든 계명들이 그 안에 포함됩니다. 내가 이웃을 사랑하면, 나는 그를 거짓되게 증언하지 않을 것이고, 그 사람의 아내와 재산을 탐내지 않을 것이며 훔칠 생각도 하지 않을 것입니다. 하나님을 위해서 다른 사람을 사랑하게 되면 우리에게 많은 불의를 행한 사람들조차 용서하도록 하나님은 은혜와 힘을 주십니다. 당신을 통해서 하나님의 사랑을 알아야 할 사람이 있습니까? 그가 사랑하기 힘든 사람일수록 내가 하나님을 사랑한다는 것을 더욱 확실히 보여 줄 수 있을 것입니다!

Loving God is the key to loving others.

Matthew 22:34-40

[34] But when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together.
[35] Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying,
[36] "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?"
[37] Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'
[38] "This is the first and great commandment.
[39] "And the second is like it£º 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'
[40] "On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

가슴과, 영혼과 힘과 마음을 다해
당신이 하나님을 사랑하면
상심케 하고 매정한 사람이라도
사랑할 수 있게 된다네

주님을 사랑하는 것이 다른 사람을 사랑하는 열쇠이다.

마태복음 22:34-40

[34] 예수께서 사두개인들로 대답할 수 없게 하셨다 함을 바리새인들이 듣고 모였는데
[35] 그 중의 한 율법사가 예수를 시험하여 묻되
[36] 선생님 율법 중에서 어느 계명이 크니이까
[37] 예수께서 이르시되 네 마음을 다하고 목숨을 다하고 뜻을 다하여 주 너의 하나님을 사랑하라 하셨으니
[38] 이것이 크고 첫째 되는 계명이요
[39] 둘째도 그와 같으니 네 이웃을 네 자신 같이 사랑하라 하셨으니
[40] 이 두 계명이 온 율법과 선지자의 강령이니라
