[ Matthew 7:24 - 7:27 ] - hymn 399 Whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock. — Matthew 7:24 In 1931, the city of Hayward, California, built its first permanent city hall building. Costing $100,000 at the time, the structure with its square Corinthian columns and Roman arch entry was considered a marvel. There was only one problem—it was built on the Hayward Fault and is gradually splitting in two. In 1989, an earthquake forced its closure, and it is now off limits to occupants. Building on an unstable foundation is not wise. This is also true of our spiritual lives. Jesus taught His disciples this truth with an illustration: ¡°Everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall¡±(Matt.7:26-27). The shifting morals of our present world can be confusing. We may be tempted to let culture or the opinions of society be the foundation for the decisions we make. But obeying the unwavering truth of God¡¯s Word brings stability unavailable anywhere else. ¡°Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock¡±(v.24).		[ 마태복음 7:24 - 7:27 ] - 찬송가 399 장 누구든지 나의 이 말을 듣고 행하는 자는 그 집을 반석 위에 지은 지혜로운 사람 같으리니－마태복음 7:24 1931년, 캘리포니아주의 헤이워드시는 처음으로 시 청사를 지었습니다. 그 당시 십만 불의 비용이 들었고, 정사각형의 코린트식 기둥과 로마식 아치 모양의 입구를 가진 그 건축물은 경이롭다는 말을 듣기까지 했습니다. 그런데 문제가 딱 하나 있었습니다. 헤이워드 단층 위에 건물을 세웠던 것입니다. 단층이 어긋나면서 건물이 서서히 두 쪽으로 갈라지기 시작했고 마침내 1989년 지진으로 건물이 폐쇄되었고, 현재는 일반인들은 들어갈 수 없게 되었습니다. 불안정한 기초 위에 집을 짓는 것은 현명하지 않습니다. 우리의 영적생활도 마찬가지입니다. 예수님께서는 이 진리를 비유로 제자들에게 가르치셨습니다. “나의 이 말을 듣고 행치 아니하는 자는 그 집을 모래 위에 지은 어리석은 사람 같으리니 비가 내리고 창수가 나고 바람이 불어 그 집에 부딪히매 무너져 그 무너짐이 심하니라”(마 7:26-27). 오늘날 이 세상의 변화하는 도덕윤리는 혼돈스러울 수 있습니다. 우리는 사회의 문화나 평판을 바탕으로 결정을 내리도록 유혹을 받습니다. 그러나 변치 않는 진리인 하나님의 말씀에 순종하면 다른 어떤 곳에서도 얻을 수 없는 안정을 가져다줍니다. “그러므로 누구든지 나의 이 말을 듣고 행하는 자는 그 집을 반석 위에 지은 지혜로운 사람 같으리니”(24절).

[24] "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:
[25] "and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
[26] "But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand:
[27] "and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall."

언덕은 무너질지라도 성경은 서 있네
온 땅이 무너져도 든든히 서 있네
그 든든한 기초 위에 내 발을 힘 있게 딛으리
성경은 영원히 서 있으리니

든든한 기초이신 예수 그리스도 위에 삶을 건축하라.

[26] 나의 이 말을 듣고 행하지 아니하는 자는 그 집을 모래 위에 지은 어리석은 사람 같으리니
[27] 비가 내리고 창수가 나고 바람이 불어 그 집에 부딪치매 무너져 그 무너짐이 심하니라
