Ignoring Grace		은혜를 무시
[ Matthew 7:13 - 7:23 ] - hymn 405 Narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. — Matthew 7:14 In the hectic downtown of one of Asia¡¯s great cities, I marveled at the busy sidewalks filled with people. There seemed to be no room to move in the crush of humanity, yet it also seemed that everyone was moving at top speed. My attention was drawn to the soft, almost mournful sound of a single trumpeter playing ¡°Amazing Grace.¡± The crowds appeared oblivious to both the musician and the music. Still, he played—sending a musical message of the love of God out to whoever knew the song and would think about the words as he played. I thought of this experience as a parable. The music seemed to be an invitation to the masses to follow Christ. As with the gospel message, some believe in God¡¯s amazing grace and choose the narrow way. Others ignore His grace, which is the broad way that leads to everlasting destruction. Jesus said, ¡°Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it¡±(Matt.7:13-14). Jesus died so that ¡°whoever calls¡±on His name(Rom.10:13) can find forgiveness in His grace.		[ 마태복음 7:13 - 7:23 ] - 찬송가 405 장 생명으로 인도하는 문은 좁고 길이 협착하여 찾는 이가 적음이니라－마태복음 7:14 아시아의 어떤 큰 도시의 정신없이 바쁜 중심가에서 나는 사람들로 가득한 보도를 경이롭게 바라보았습니다. 사람들로 꽉 찬 그 속으로 비집고 들어갈 틈도 없어 보였지만, 각자가 최고의 속도로 움직이고 있는 것처럼 보였습니다. 그러다가 “나 같은 죄인 살리신”을 연주하는, 부드러우면서도 슬픈 트럼펫 소리가 내 주의를 끌었습니다. 사람들은 연주가와 그가 연주하는 곡목을 알아차리지 못하는 것 같았습니다. 그렇지만 그는 연주를 통해 그 노래를 아는 모든 사람들과 그 노래의 가사를 생각하고 있을 모든 이들에게 음악으로 하나님의 사랑의 메시지를 전달했습니다. 나는 이 경험을 하나의 비유라고 생각했습니다. 그 음악은 군중들에게 예수님을 따르라고 초대하는 것처럼 보였습니다. 복음서에 있는 메시지처럼, 어떤 사람들은 하나님의 놀라운 은혜를 믿고 좁은 길을 선택합니다. 다른 사람들은 하나님의 은혜를 무시하여 영원한 멸망으로 이끄는 넓은 길로 갑니다. 예수님은 “좁은 문으로 들어가라 멸망으로 인도하는 문은 크고 그 길이 넓어 그리로 들어가는 자가 많고 생명으로 인도하는 문은 좁고 길이 협착하여 찾는 이가 적음이니라”(마 7:13-14)라고 말씀하셨습니다. “누구든지 주의 이름을 부르는 자”(롬 10:13)는 주님의 은혜 안에서 용서받게 하기 위해 예수님이 돌아가셨습니다.

Matthew 7:13-23

[13] "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
[14] "Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
[15] "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
[16] "You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?
[17] "Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
[18] "A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.
[19] "Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
[20] "Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
[21] "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
[22] "Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'
[23] "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

나 같은 죄인 살리신
주 은혜 놀라와
잃었던 생명 찾았고
광명을 얻었네

그리스도를 믿는 것은 구원을 받는 것이다.

마태복음 7:13-23

[13] 좁은 문으로 들어가라 멸망으로 인도하는 문은 크고 그 길이 넓어 그리로 들어가는 자가 많고
[14] 생명으로 인도하는 문은 좁고 길이 협착하여 찾는 자가 적음이라
[15] 거짓 선지자들을 삼가라 양의 옷을 입고 너희에게 나아오나 속에는 노략질하는 이리라
[16] 그들의 열매로 그들을 알지니 가시나무에서 포도를, 또는 엉겅퀴에서 무화과를 따겠느냐
[17] 이와 같이 좋은 나무마다 아름다운 열매를 맺고 못된 나무가 나쁜 열매를 맺나니
[18] 좋은 나무가 나쁜 열매를 맺을 수 없고 못된 나무가 아름다운 열매를 맺을 수 없느니라
[19] 아름다운 열매를 맺지 아니하는 나무마다 찍혀 불에 던져지느니라
[20] 이러므로 그들의 열매로 그들을 알리라
[21] 나더러 주여 주여 하는 자마다 다 천국에 들어갈 것이 아니요 다만 하늘에 계신 내 아버지의 뜻대로 행하는 자라야 들어가리라
[22] 그 날에 많은 사람이 나더러 이르되 주여 주여 우리가 주의 이름으로 선지자 노릇 하며 주의 이름으로 귀신을 쫓아 내며 주의 이름으로 많은 권능을 행하지 아니하였나이까 하리니
[23] 그 때에 내가 그들에게 밝히 말하되 내가 너희를 도무지 알지 못하니 불법을 행하는 자들아 내게서 떠나가라 하리라
