A Lover Of God		하나님을 사랑하는 자
[ Matthew 22:34 - 22:40 ] - hymn 369 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. — Matthew 22:37 In a brief biography of St. Francis of Assisi, G. K. Chesterton begins with a glimpse into the heart of this unique and compassionate man born in the 12th century. Chesterton writes: ¡°As St. Francis did not love humanity but men, so he did not love Christianity but Christ... The reader cannot even begin to see the sense of a story that may well seem to him a very wild one, until he understands that to this great mystic his religion was not a thing like a theory but a thing like a love-affair.¡± When Jesus was asked to name the greatest command in the Law, He replied, ¡°You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment¡±(Matt.22:37-38). The questioner wanted to test Jesus, but the Lord answered him with the key element in pleasing God. First and foremost, our relationship with Him is a matter of the heart. If we see God as a taskmaster and consider obedience to Him as a burden, then we have joined those of whom the Lord said, ¡°I have this against you, that you have left your first love¡± (Rev.2:4). The way of joy is to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, and mind.		[ 마태복음 22:34 - 22:40 ] - 찬송가 369 장 네 마음을 다하고 목숨을 다하고 뜻을 다하여 주 너의 하나님을 사랑하라 - 마태복음 22:37 G.K. 체스터튼이 쓴 아시시의 성 프란시스 일대기는 12세기에 태어난 자비롭고 독특한 한 남자의 마음에 대해 잠깐 언급하면서 시작됩니다. “성 프란시스는 인간성이 아닌 인간을 사랑한 것처럼 기독교 신앙이 아닌 그리스도를 사랑했다... 독자는 프란시스의 종교가 정말 불가사이하게도 어떤 이론 같은 것이 아닌 연애 사건 같은 것임을 깨닫게 되기까지는, 그의 이야기가 터무니없이 보여 전혀 감을 잡을 수 없을 것이다.” 예수님은 율법 중 제일 큰 계명이 무엇이냐는 질문을 받았을 때, “네 마음을 다하고 목숨을 다하고 뜻을 다하여 주 너의 하나님을 사랑하라 하셨으니 이것이 크고 첫째 되는 계명”(마 22:37-38)이라고 대답하셨습니다. 질문한 사람은 예수님을 시험하려고 한것이었지만, 주님은 하나님을 기쁘게 해드리는 핵심 요소를 들어 그에게 대답하셨습니다. 우리와 주님과의 관계는 무엇보다도 먼저 마음의 문제입니다. 만일 우리가 하나님을 힘든 일을 시키는 사람으로 보거나 주님께 순종하는 것을 짐으로 여긴다면, 우리는 예수님이 “너를 책망할 것이 있나니 너의 처음 사랑을 버렸느니라”(계 2:4)라고 질책하신 그 사람들과 같이 되어버린 것입니다. 우리가 마음과 목숨과 뜻을 다하여 주님을 사랑할 때 우리는 기쁨을 얻습니다.

Oh, help me, Lord, to take by grace divine
Yet more and more of that great love of Thine;
That day by day my heart may give to Thee
A deeper love, and grow more constantly. — Mountain

Put Christ first and you¡¯ll find a joy that lasts.

Matthew 22:34-40

[34] But when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together.
[35] Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying,
[36] "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?"
[37] Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'
[38] "This is the first and great commandment.
[39] "And the second is like it£º 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'
[40] "On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

오 주여 날 도우소서, 주님의 은혜로
그 크신 주의 사랑 많이많이 받도록
날마다 내 마음이 더 깊은 사랑을 주께 드리고
더욱 변함없이 꾸준히 자라가게 하소서

예수님을 우선순위 첫 번째에 두면 영원한 기쁨을 찾게 된다.

마태복음 22:34-40

[34] 예수께서 사두개인들로 대답할 수 없게 하셨다 함을 바리새인들이 듣고 모였는데
[35] 그 중의 한 율법사가 예수를 시험하여 묻되
[36] 선생님 율법 중에서 어느 계명이 크니이까
[37] 예수께서 이르시되 네 마음을 다하고 목숨을 다하고 뜻을 다하여 주 너의 하나님을 사랑하라 하셨으니
[38] 이것이 크고 첫째 되는 계명이요
[39] 둘째도 그와 같으니 네 이웃을 네 자신 같이 사랑하라 하셨으니
[40] 이 두 계명이 온 율법과 선지자의 강령이니라
