A Collector¡¯s Heaven		수집가의 천국
[ Matthew 6:19 - 6:21 ] - hymn 114 Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth ... but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven. — Matthew 6:19-20 People love to collect things—from baseball cards to stamps to coins. And while collecting can be a fun hobby, it is sobering to think that once we leave this earth, everything we own becomes part of someone else¡¯s collection. What value would it be to have collected much on earth but little or nothing for eternity? Jesus had something to say about this. Speaking to His disciples, He said: ¡°Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal¡± (Matt. 6:20). Eternal treasures never lose their worth. They can never be spoiled or stolen. And just think—we can actually stockpile them! How? Through acts of service. Through leading others to Jesus. By being compassionate to those in need. By living according to the will and ways of Jesus. In the gospel of Mark, we read that the Lord tested the rich young ruler¡¯s heart when He asked him to sell all that he had, give it to the poor, and follow Him. The ruler¡¯s response revealed what he really valued (10:21-22). It¡¯s easy to become enamored with earthside stuff, but when you make the choice to follow Jesus, He¡¯ll show you the joy of collecting eternal treasures. Nothing on earth can compare!		[ 마태복음 6:19 - 6:21 ] - 찬송가 114 장 너희를 위하여 보물을 땅에 쌓아두지 말라...오직 너희를 위하여 보물을 하늘에 쌓아두라－마태복음 6:19-20 사람들은 야구 카드, 우표나 동전같은 것을 수집하는 것을 좋아합니다. 수집은 즐거운 취미생활일 수 있겠지만, 우리가 이 땅을 떠나고 나면 우리가 가진 모든 것이 다른 누군가의 수집품 목록에 포함되어버린다고 생각하면 정신이 번쩍 납니다. 이 땅에서 많은 것을 모아놓았지만 영원을 위해 모아놓은 것이 거의 없거나 전혀 없다면 무슨 가치가 있을까요? 예수님은 이에 관해 무언가 말씀하고 싶은 것이 있었습니다. 주님은 제자들에게 말씀하시면서 “너희를 위하여 보물을 하늘에 쌓아두라 거기는 좀과 동록이 해하지 못하며 도적이 구멍을 뚫지도 못하고 도적질도 못하느니라”(마 6:20)라고 하셨습니다. 영원한 보물은 그 가치를 절대 잃어버리지 않습니다. 결코 망가지거나 도적질당하지도 않습니다. 그리고 우리는 그것들을 실제로 쌓아둘 수 있습니다! 어떻게요? 봉사의 행위를 통해, 다른 사람들에게 전도함으로, 어려움에 빠진 사람들에게 긍휼을 베풂으로, 그리고 예수님의 뜻을 따르며 예수님의 방법대로 삶으로써 그렇게 할 수 있습니다. 마가복음에서 우리는 주님이 젊은 부자 관원에게 그가 가진 모든 것을 팔아 가난한 자들에게 나누어주고 주님을 좇으라 하시면서 그의 마음을 시험하신 것을 봅니다. 그 관원의 반응은 그가 진정 가치를 둔 것이 무엇이었는지를 보여주었습니다(10:21-22). 이 땅의 것에 매혹되기는 쉽지만, 당신이 예수님을 좇기로 결정하면 주님은 당신에게 영원한 보물을 수집하는 즐거움을 보여주실 것입니다. 그것은 이 땅의 무엇과도 비교할 수 없습니다!

But God has prepared us a place
Where someday with Him we will dwell,

Matthew 6:19-21

[19] "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;
[20] "but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
[21] "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

땅의 보물들은 오래가지 않지만
하나님께서 예비하신 장소가 있으니
언젠가 거기서 하나님과 함께 거하며
은혜의 복락을 누리며 살겠네

영원한 것은 단단히 붙잡고, 순간적인 것은 느슨하게 잡아라.
