Sparrow¡¯s Flight		날아가는 참새
[ Matthew 10:27 - 10:33 ] - hymn 444 Not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father¡¯s will. - Matthew 10:29 After dinner one night, a tiny brown sparrow flew inside our house through the front door. A chase ensued. Each time my husband got near to it, the little intruder fluttered away in a desperate search for an exit. Before we could escort it safely outside, the bird toured the house so frantically that we could see its chest throbbing from its rapid heartbeat. Sometimes we are like that little bird—anxious, frazzled, and afraid of what might happen next. It comforts me to think that ¡°not one [sparrow] falls to the ground¡± without God knowing about it (Matt. 10:29). He sees and knows everything in our world. ¡°The eyes of the Lord are in every place¡± (Prov. 15:3), and nothing escapes His attention, including you and me. God understands and values the finest points of our being. Jesus said, ¡°The very hairs of your head are all numbered¡± (Matt. 10:30). It¡¯s amazing that God keeps a tally of our personal trivia and is even aware of a bird¡¯s misfortune. Since He knows about these small details, we can trust that He sees and cares about the big issues that ruffle our feathers. When we ask Him for help, God¡¯s response is always informed by His perfect knowledge of us and our circumstances. Let¡¯s trust Him with our anxious concerns.		[ 마태복음 10:27 - 10:33 ] - 찬송가 444 장 너희 아버지께서 허락지 아니하시면 그 하나라도 땅에 떨어지지 아니하리라 - 마태복음 10:29 저녁 식사가 끝난 어느 날 밤, 작은 갈색 참새 한 마리가 앞문을 통해 집안으로 날아들어 왔습니다. 곧 참새를 뒤쫓기 시작했는데, 남편이 다가갈 때마다 이 작은 침입자는 필사적으로 출구를 찾아 퍼덕이며 날아다녔습니다. 그 새를 안전하게 집밖으로 내보내기 전에 그 새가 너무도 필사적으로 집안을 날아다녔기 때문에, 우리는 빠른 심장박동으로 인해 새의 가슴이 마구 뛰는 것을 보았습니다. 우리도 때로는 그 새와 같이 초조하고, 기진맥진하고, 다음에 어떤 일이 일어날까 걱정합니다. 그러나 하나님이 허락하지 않으시면 “참새 한 마리도 땅에 떨어지지 않는다”는 구절(마 10:29)을 생각하면 안심이 됩니다. 하나님은 이 세상의 모든 것을 보고 계시고 알고 계십니다. “여호와의 눈은 어디서든지”(잠 15:3) 보 고 계십니다. 당신이나 나를 포함하여 그 어떤 것도 하나님의 시선을 피할 수 없습니다. 하나 님은 우리의 아주 세세한 것까지도 이해하시고 귀하게 여기십니다. “아버지께서는 너희의 머리카락까지도 다 세어놓고 계신다”(마 10:30, 표준새번역)라고 예수님도 말씀하셨습니다. 놀라운 것은 하나님께서 우리의 개인적인 사소한 것까지 알고 계 시고, 새 한 마리의 불행까지 알고 계신다는 것입니다. 이렇게 작은 것까지 아시는 하나님이시기에 우리는 하나님이 우리 마음을 마구 뒤흔들어놓는 큰 문제들도 아시고 돌보신다는 것을 믿을 수 있습니다. 우리가 하나님께 도움을 청하면, 그분은 언제나 우리의 사정과 형편을 완벽히 아시고 응답해주십니다. 걱정스러운 일들이 있을 때 하나님을 의지합시다.

If God sees the sparrow¡¯s fall,
Paints the lilies short and tall,
Gives the skies their azure hue,
Will He not then care for you? — Anon

Matthew 10:27-33

[27] "Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops.
[28] "And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
[29] "Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will.
[30] "But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
[31] "Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
[32] "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.
[33] "But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

만일 하나님이 참새가 떨어지는 것을 보시며
크고 작은 백합화에 색깔을 입히시고
하늘을 푸르게 하시는 분이라면
그분이 당신을 보살피지 않으실까요?

참새를 바라보고 계신 그분의 눈길이 날 지켜보심을 안다.

마태복음 10:27-33

[27] 내가 너희에게 어두운 데서 이르는 것을 광명한 데서 말하며 너희가 귓속말로 듣는 것을 집 위에서 전파하라
[28] 몸은 죽여도 영혼은 능히 죽이지 못하는 자들을 두려워하지 말고 오직 몸과 영혼을 능히 지옥에 멸하실 수 있는 이를 두려워하라
[29] 참새 두 마리가 한 앗사리온에 팔리지 않느냐 그러나 너희 아버지께서 허락하지 아니하시면 그 하나도 땅에 떨어지지 아니하리라
[30] 너희에게는 머리털까지 다 세신 바 되었나니
[31] 두려워하지 말라 너희는 많은 참새보다 귀하니라
[32] 누구든지 사람 앞에서 나를 시인하면 나도 하늘에 계신 내 아버지 앞에서 그를 시인할 것이요
[33] 누구든지 사람 앞에서 나를 부인하면 나도 하늘에 계신 내 아버지 앞에서 그를 부인하리라
