Follow The Instructions		지침서를 따르라
[ Matthew 7:24 - 7:29 ] - hymn 379 Whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock. - Matthew 7:24 One of my boyhood hobbies was building model planes. Every time I opened a new box, the first thing I saw was the instructions, but I didn¡¯t think I needed to follow them. In my mind I knew exactly how to put the model together. Not until I had glued a few pieces together did I realize I had skipped an important step, like putting the pilot in the cockpit. It¡¯s easy to think that we have no need for instructions for our lives, only to later realize that we¡¯ve messed things up. Which is exactly why Jesus advised that following His instructions is the way for wise people to build a safe, solid, and significant life(Matt.7:24-29). He had just told the listening crowd to turn the other cheek, to go the extra mile, to forgive enemies, and to sell treasures so that they could give to the poor(5:39-44). But just getting the instructions isn¡¯t enough. The key is to follow them. ¡°Whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock¡±(7:24). Those who don¡¯t follow the instructions are, as Jesus put it, ¡°foolish¡±(v.26). To the world, forgiving your enemies and giving to the poor may seem like a silly way to build a life, but, take it from Jesus, it¡¯s the wise way.		[ 마태복음 7:24 - 7:29 ] - 찬송가 379 장 그러므로 누구든지 나의 이 말을 듣고 행하는 자는 그 집을 반석 위에 지은 지혜로운 사람 같으리니 - 마태복음 7:24 내가 어렸을 때 즐기던 취미 중의 하나는 모형 비행기를 만드는 것이었습니다. 새로운 상자를 열 때마다 제일 먼저 보이는 것은 설명서였지만, 나는 설명서를 따를 필요가 없다고 생각했습니다. 내 머리 속에서 어떻게 그 모형을 맞추는지 정확하게 알고 있었기 때문입니다. 그러나 내가 몇 조각을 접착제로 붙인 후에야 한 가지 중요한 것, 즉 조종석 안에 조종사를 집어넣는 작업을 빼먹었다는 것을 알게 되었습니다. 우리의 삶 속에서도 지침을 따를 필요가 없다고 생각했다가 일을 그르치고 난 후에야 비로소 깨닫게 되는 경우가 많습니다. 바로 이것 때문에 예수님은 지혜로운 사람들이 안전하고 견고하고 의미 있는 삶을 사는 길은 주님의 지침을 따르는 것이라고 권고하셨던 것입니다(마 7:24-29). 이 말씀을 하시기 바로 전에 예수님은 무리들에게 왼뺨을 치면 오른뺨을 대고, 오리를 함께 가자고 하는 자와 십리를 가고, 원수를 용서하고, 보물을 팔아 자난한 자들에게 나누어주라고 말씀하셨습니다 (5:39-44). 그러나 지침을 받는 것만으로는 충분하지 않습니다. 중요한 것은 그것을 따라 실행하는 것입니다. “누구든지 나의 이 말을 듣고 행하는 자는 그 집을 반석 위에 지은 지혜로운 사람 같으니라 ”(7:24). 말씀을 듣고 행하지 않는 자는 “어리석은 사람”(26절)이라고 예수님이 말씀하셨습니다. 세상의 기준으로 볼 때, 원수를 용서하고 가난한 자들에게 베푸는 것이 어리석은 삶인 것 같아 보이지만, 예수님의 기준으로는 그것은 지혜로운 길입니다.

To build a rock-solid life, follow Jesus¡¯ instructions.

Matthew 7:24-29

[24] "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:
[25] "and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
[26] "But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand:
[27] "and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall."
[28] And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching,
[29] for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

주님, 읽고 들은 주님의 모든 말씀, 명령을
내 마음에 두도록 도와주소서
날마다 주님의 뜻을 보여주실 때
따르고 순종하도록 나를 도와주소서

반석 위의 견고한 삶을 살려면 예수님의 지침을 따르라.

마태복음 7:24-29

[24] 그러므로 누구든지 나의 이 말을 듣고 행하는 자는 그 집을 반석 위에 지은 지혜로운 사람 같으리니
[25] 비가 내리고 창수가 나고 바람이 불어 그 집에 부딪치되 무너지지 아니하나니 이는 주추를 반석 위에 놓은 까닭요
[26] 나의 이 말을 듣고 행하지 아니하는 자는 그 집을 모래 위에 지은 어리석은 사람 같으리니
[27] 비가 내리고 창수가 나고 바람이 불어 그 집에 부딪치매 무너져 그 무너짐이 심하니라
[28] 예수께서 이 말씀을 마치시매 무리들이 그 가르치심에 놀라니
[29] 이는 그 가르치시는 것이 권위 있는 자와 같고 그들의 서기관들과 같지 아니함일러라
