Lessons Of Obedience		순종이 주는 교훈
[ 1 John 2:1 - 2:11 ] - hymn 219 This is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. - 1 John 5:3 When young Kofi came home after Sunday school, his mother asked him what he had learned that morning. His quick reply spoke volumes: ¡°Obedience ... again!¡± Although I¡¯m many years older than Kofi, I agree that obedience to God is a lesson that we must, sometimes reluctantly, learn over and over again. Oswald Chambers wrote: ¡°The Lord does not give me rules, but He makes His standard very clear. If my relationship to Him is that of love, I will do what He says .... If I hesitate, it is because I love someone I have placed in competition with Him, namely, myself.¡± When we are obedient, we show God that we love Him and have more faith in Him than we do in ourselves. Arthur W. Pink said that love is ¡°a principle of action, and it expresses itself ... by deeds which please the object loved.¡± To obey God means to relinquish what we want and to choose to do what He asks. God requires the obedience of His followers, and Jesus placed great importance on it. He asked, ¡°Why do you call Me ¡®Lord, Lord,¡¯ and not do the things which I say?¡±(Luke 6:46). And He issued this challenge: ¡°If you love Me, keep My commandments¡±(John 14:15).		[ 요한1서 2:1 - 2:11 ] - 찬송가 219 장 하나님을 사랑하는 것은 이것이니 우리가 그의 계명들을 지키는 것이라－요한1서 5:3 코피가 주일학교에서 돌아왔을 때, 아이의 엄마는 오늘 아침에 무얼 배웠냐고 물어보았습니다. 그러자 아이는 바로 큰 소리로 대답했습니다. “말 잘 들으래요. 또요!” 나는 코피보다 훨씬 나이가 많지만, 하나님에 대한 순종은 때로는 마음이 내키지 않으면서도 계속 반복해서 배워야 할 교훈임에 동의합니다. 오스왈드 챔버스는 다음과 같이 쓰고 있습니다. “주님은 내게 어떤 규칙들을 주시지 않았지만 그분의 기준은 분명하다. 만일 나와 주님이 사랑의 관계에 있다면 나는 그분의 말씀에 따라 행동할 것이고, 만일 그러기를 주저한다면 그것은 내 안에서 주님과 경쟁하는 사람, 즉 나 자신을 사랑하기 때문이다.” 우리가 하나님께 순종하면 그것은 우리가 하나님을 사랑하며, 또 우리 자신에 대한 믿음보다 하나님에 대한 믿음이 더 크다는 것을 그분께 보여드리는 것입니다. 아더 핑크는 사랑은 “행동을 유발하게 되어 있어, 사랑하는 대상을 기쁘게 하는 행동으로 그것이 표현된다.”라고 말했습니다. 하나님께 순종한다는 것은 우리가 원하는 것은 제쳐놓고 하나님이 원하시는 것을 택하는 것을 의미합니다. 하나님은 그분을 따르는 사람들에게 순종할 것을 요구하시는데, 예수님도 그것을 매우 중요하게 여기셨습니다. 주님은 “너희는 나를 불러 주여 주여 하면서도 어찌하여 나의 말하는 것을 행치 아니하느냐”(눅 6:46)라고 말씀하셨습니다. 그리고 다음과 같이 도전을 주셨습니다. “너희가 나를 사랑하면 나의 계명을 지키리라”(요 14:15).

Without attempting to obey
Reveals our lack of faith that He

Obedience to God is an expression of our love for God.

1 John 2:1-11

[1] My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
[2] And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.
[3] Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.
[4] He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
[5] But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.
[6] He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
[7] Brethren, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you have had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you heard from the beginning.
[8] Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining.
[9] He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now.
[10] He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him.
[11] But he who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

순종할 생각은 없으면서
예수 그리스도를 따른다고 말하는 것은
주님이 우리를 모든 면에서 바른 길로 인도하심을
믿지 못하는 것을 보여주는 것이다

하나님께 순종한다는 것은
하나님에 대한 우리의 사랑을 표현하는 것이다.

요한1서 2:1-11

[1] 나의 자녀들아 내가 이것을 너희에게 씀은 너희로 죄를 범하지 않게 하려 함이라 만일 누가 죄를 범하여도 아버지 앞에서 우리에게 대언자가 있으니 곧 의로우신 예수 그리스도시라
[2] 그는 우리 죄를 위한 화목 제물이니 우리만 위할 뿐 아니요 온 세상의 죄를 위하심이라
[3] 우리가 그의 계명을 지키면 이로써 우리가 그를 아는 줄로 알 것이요
[4] 그를 아노라 하고 그의 계명을 지키지 아니하는 자는 거짓말하는 자요 진리가 그 속에 있지 아니하되
[5] 누구든지 그의 말씀을 지키는 자는 하나님의 사랑이 참으로 그 속에서 온전하게 되었나니 이로써 우리가 그의 안에 있는 줄을 아노라
[6] 그의 안에 산다고 하는 자는 그가 행하시는 대로 자기도 행할지니라
[7] 사랑하는 자들아 내가 새 계명을 너희에게 쓰는 것이 아니라 너희가 처음부터 가진 옛 계명이니 이 옛 계명은 너희가 들은 바 말씀이거니와
[8] 다시 내가 너희에게 새 계명을 쓰노니 그에게와 너희에게도 참된 것이라 이는 어둠이 지나가고 참빛이 벌써 비침이니라
[9] 빛 가운데 있다 하면서 그 형제를 미워하는 자는 지금까지 어둠에 있는 자요
[10] 그의 형제를 사랑하는 자는 빛 가운데 거하여 자기 속에 거리낌이 없으나
[11] 그의 형제를 미워하는 자는 어둠에 있고 또 어둠에 행하며 갈 곳을 알지 못하나니 이는 그 어둠이 그의 눈을 멀게 하였음이라
