Fix Your Eyes		시선을 고정하라
[ Luke 4:1 - 4:13 ] - hymn 395 Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. - Hebrews 12:1-2 Over and over again, my driver¡¯s education instructor said these two words: ¡°Drive ahead.¡± This was his way of telling me to focus on the horizon, not just on my immediate surroundings. Drivers who continually look to the right or to the left may well go into the ditch. Satan is good at causing ¡°roadside distractions¡± that tempt us to look at him rather than at Jesus. If he can get our attention, he may be able to get us off track and delay our spiritual progress. He even tried this with Jesus Himself! After Jesus was baptized, Satan tried to deter Him by suggesting ¡°better¡± ways to accomplish His work. Satan told Jesus that He could prove He was the Son of God by throwing Himself from the temple(Luke 4:9-11). But Jesus knew that proving He was God¡¯s Son would come by submitting Himself to the cross, not by flinging Himself from a high building. He responded, ¡°You shall not tempt the Lord your God¡±(v.12). Jesus had His eyes on our redemption, and He knew He couldn¡¯t accomplish it by taking a detour around the cross. The way to stay out of spiritual ditches is to fix our eyes on Jesus(Heb.12:2) and refuse to even glance at Satan¡¯s distractions.		[ 누가복음 4:1 - 4:13 ] - 찬송가 395 장 인내로써 우리 앞에 당한 경주를 경주하며 믿음의 주요 또 온전케 하시는 이인 예수를 바라보자－ 히브리서 12:1-2 운전 교관이 나에게 “앞을 보고 운전하세요.”라고 계속 반복해서 말했습니다. 바로 옆에 것들에 신경 쓰지 말고, 멀리 앞쪽에 집중하라는 그의 교수 방식이었습니다. 계속적으로 좌우를 보는 운전자들은 도랑에 빠지기 쉽습니다. 사탄은 예수님 대신 자기를 보게 유인하는 “운전 장애물”의 역할에 아주 능숙합니다. 만일 사탄이 우리의 주의를 끌게 되면 그는 우리로 하여금 길을 벗어나게 해 우리의 영적성장을 지연시키기도 합니다. 사탄은 예수님에게도 이 수법을 사용한 적이 있습니다! 예수님이 세례를 받으신 후 사탄이 와서 주님의 일을 성취하는 “보다 나은” 방법을 제시하며 주님을 방해하려 하였습니다. 사탄은 예수님께 성전 꼭대기에서 뛰어내림으로 하나님의 아들이라는 것을 증명해보라고 말했습니다(눅 4:9-11). 그러나 예수님은 높은 건물에서 자신을 내던지는 것으로가 아니라, 자신이 십자가에 복종함으로써 하나님의 아들이라는 것이 증명된다는 것을 아셨기에 “주 너의 하나님을 시험치 말라”(12절)라고 대답하셨습니다. 주님은 우리의 구원에 관심이 있으셨고, 십자가를 피해서는 구원을 성취할 수 없다는 것을 아셨던 것입니다. 영적인 도랑에 빠지지 않는 방법은 예수님께 우리의 시선을 고정시키고(히 12:2) 사탄의 유혹에 어떤 눈길도 주지 않는 것입니다.

Luke 4:1-13

[1] Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
[2] being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry.
[3] And the devil said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread."
[4] But Jesus answered him, saying, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.'"
[5] Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
[6] And the devil said to Him, "All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.
[7] "Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours."
[8] And Jesus answered and said to him, "Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.'"
[9] Then he brought Him to Jerusalem, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here.
[10] "For it is written: 'He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you,'
[11] "and, 'In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.'"
[12] And Jesus answered and said to him, "It has been said, 'You shall not tempt the LORD your God.'"
[13] Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time.

우리가 당하는 유혹을
극복하는 오직 한 가지 길은
은혜로 강건케 해주시는
주님께 집중하는 것

사탄이 우리 시선 앞에 있지 않고 우리 뒤에 있도록 해야 한다.

누가복음 4:1-13

[1] 예수께서 성령의 충만함을 입어 요단 강에서 돌아오사 광야에서 사십 일 동안 성령에게 이끌리시며
[2] 마귀에게 시험을 받으시더라 이 모든 날에 아무 것도 잡수시지 아니하시니 날 수가 다하매 주리신지라
[3] 마귀가 이르되 네가 만일 하나님의 아들이어든 이 돌들에게 명하여 떡이 되게 하라
[4] 예수께서 대답하시되 기록된 바 사람이 떡으로만 살 것이 아니라 하였느니라
[5] 마귀가 또 예수를 이끌고 올라가서 순식간에 천하 만국을 보이며
[6] 이르되 이 모든 권위와 그 영광을 내가 네게 주리라 이것은 내게 넘겨 준 것이므로 내가 원하는 자에게 주노라
[7] 그러므로 네가 만일 내게 절하면 다 네 것이 되리라
[8] 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 기록된 바 주 너의 하나님께 경배하고 다만 그를 섬기라 하였느니라
[9] 또 이끌고 예루살렘으로 가서 성전 꼭대기에 세우고 이르되 네가 만일 하나님의 아들이어든 여기서 뛰어내리라
[10] 기록되었으되 하나님이 너를 위하여 그 사자들을 명하사 너를 지키게 하시리라 하였고
[11] 또한 그들이 손으로 너를 받들어 네 발이 돌에 부딪치지 않게 하시리라 하였느니라
[12] 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 주 너의 하나님을 시험하지 말라 하였느니라
[13] 마귀가 모든 시험을 다 한 후에 얼마 동안 떠나니라
