True Freedom		진정한 자유
[ Galatians 4:21 - 5:1 ] - hymn 35 Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free. — Galatians 5:1 In 1776, the 13 British colonies in North America protested the limitations placed on them by the king of England and engaged in a struggle that gave birth to a brand-new republic. The infant nation soon adopted that now-famous document known as the Declaration of Independence. Almost 2,000 years ago, the Lord Jesus cried out on the cross, ¡°It is finished,¡± proclaiming the believer¡¯s ¡°declaration of independence.¡± All of humanity was under the tyranny of sin and death. But Christ, the sinless One, took our place on Calvary and died for our sins. Having satisfied God¡¯s righteous demands, He now sets free for eternity all who trust in Him. Paul wrote, ¡°Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us¡±(Gal.3:13). Romans 8 assures us, ¡°There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus .... For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death¡±(vv.1-2). Galatians 5:1 urges all who have been redeemed to ¡°stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free.¡± We are thankful to God for any freedom we enjoy in a nation. But above all, believers everywhere can praise Him for the freedom that is found in Christ!		[ 갈라디아서 4:21 - 5:1 ] - 찬송가 35 장 그리스도께서 우리로 자유케 하려고 자유를 주셨으니 그러므로 굳세게 서서 - 갈라디아서 5:1 1776년, 북아메리카에 있던 13개의 영국 식민지가 영국 왕이 내린 규제에 대항하여 싸운 결과 새로운 공화국이 탄생하였습니다. 이 갓 탄생한 나라는 곧이어 저 유명한 「독립선언문」을 채택하게 됩니다. 거의 2000년 전에 예수님은 십자가 위에서 “다 이루었다”라고 외치시면서 믿는 자들의 “독립선언”을 분명하게 알리셨습니다. 모든 인간은 죄와 죽음의 권세 아래 있었습니다. 그러나 죄 없으신 예수 그리스도께서 우리 대신 갈보리에서 우리 죄를 위해서 돌아가셨습니다. 하나님의 공의를 이루신 예수님은 이제 주님을 믿는 모든 사람에게 영원한 자유를 주십니다. 바울은 “그리스도께서 우리를 위하여 저주를 받은바 되사 율법의 저주에서 우리를 속량하셨으니”(갈 3:13)라고 썼습니다. 로마서 8장은 “그러므로 이제 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 자에게는 결코 정죄함이 없나니 이는 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 생명의 성령의 법이 죄와 사망의 법에서 너를 해방하였음이라”(1-2절)라고 우리에게 확신을 줍니다. 갈라디아서 5장 1절은 “그리스도께서 우리로 자유케 하려고 자유를 주셨으니 그러므로 굳세게 서라”라고 우리를 격려하고 있습니다. 우리는 국가가 허용하는 그 어떠한 자유에 대해서도 하나님께 감사드립니다. 그러나 그 무엇보다도, 어디에 있든 믿는 사람들은 그리스도 안에서 찾은 자유로 인해 하나님을 찬양할 수 있습니다!

Now are we free—there¡¯s no condemnation!
Jesus provides a perfect salvation;
¡°Come unto Me,¡± O hear His sweet call!
Come—and He saves us once for all. — Bliss

Our greatest freedom is freedom from sin.

Galatians 4:21–5:1

[21] Tell me, you who desire to be under the law, do you not hear the law?
[22] For it is written that Abraham had two sons£º the one by a bondwoman, the other by a freewoman.
[23] But he who was of the bondwoman was born according to the flesh, and he of the freewoman through promise,
[24] which things are symbolic. For these are the two covenants£º the one from Mount Sinai which gives birth to bondage, which is Hagar--
[25] for this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children--
[26] but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all.
[27] For it is written£º "Rejoice, O barren, You who do not bear! Break forth and shout, You who are not in labor! For the desolate has many more children Than she who has a husband."
[28] Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are children of promise.
[29] But, as he who was born according to the flesh then persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, even so it is now.
[30] Nevertheless what does the Scripture say? "Cast out the bondwoman and her son, for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman."
[31] So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman but of the free.

[5:1] Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

이제 자유라네, 정죄함도 없다네!
예수께서 완전한 구원을 주신다네
“내게로 오라”시는 주님의 감미로운 부르심
그리로 가세, 주님의 한 번 구원으로 영원토록 구원을 누리리

우리의 가장 큰 자유는 죄로부터의 자유이다.

갈라디아서 4:21-5:1

[21] 내게 말하라 율법 아래에 있고자 하는 자들아 율법을 듣지 못하였느냐
[22] 기록된 바 아브라함에게 두 아들이 있으니 하나는 여종에게서, 하나는 자유 있는 여자에게서 났다 하였으며
[23] 여종에게서는 육체를 따라 났고 자유 있는 여자에게서는 약속으로 말미암았느니라
[24] 이것은 비유니 이 여자들은 두 언약이라 하나는 시내 산으로부터 종을 낳은 자니 곧 하갈이라
[25] 이 하갈은 아라비아에 있는 시내 산으로서 지금 있는 예루살렘과 같은 곳이니 그가 그 자녀들과 더불어 종 노릇 하고
[26] 오직 위에 있는 예루살렘은 자유자니 곧 우리 어머니라
[27] 기록된 바 잉태하지 못한 자여 즐거워하라 산고를 모르는 자여 소리 질러 외치라 이는 홀로 사는 자의 자녀가 남편 있는 자의 자녀보다 많음이라 하였으니
[28] 형제들아 너희는 이삭과 같이 약속의 자녀라
[29] 그러나 그 때에 육체를 따라 난 자가 성령을 따라 난 자를 박해한 것 같이 이제도 그러하도다
[30] 그러나 성경이 무엇을 말하느냐 여종과 그 아들을 내쫓으라 여종의 아들이 자유 있는 여자의 아들과 더불어 유업을 얻지 못하리라 하였느니라
[31] 그런즉 형제들아 우리는 여종의 자녀가 아니요 자유 있는 여자의 자녀니라

[5:1] 그리스도께서 우리를 자유롭게 하려고 자유를 주셨으니 그러므로 굳건하게 서서 다시는 종의 멍에를 메지 말라
