Worst Possible Scenario!		최악의 시나리오!
[ Job 1:13 - 1:22 ] - hymn 93 When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold. - Job 23:10 When I used to teach at a Bible college in a large city, I sometimes graded papers at a food court while waiting for a commuter train. One day, I accidentally bumped my large cup of coffee. Its entire contents emptied into my open briefcase. In most cities, there is a quiet reserve on the part of commuters. However, the coffee splash was so dramatic that it could not be ignored. A man sitting nearby said aloud, ¡°Worst possible scenario!¡± That comment was obviously an overstatement. But each of us dreads the thought of something in particular: financial loss, the death of a child or spouse, cancer, or another loss or hardship. The book of Job is a case study in worst possible scenarios. Yet Job wisely assessed God¡¯s role in trying circumstances of loss and poor health: ¡°He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold¡± (Job 23:10). From this wise statement we can learn two valuable lessons: One is that what we dread most can be used to test our character and make us stronger. The other is that God will provide the strength and comfort to see us through. Cling to God. He has promised to work on our behalf, even in the worst possible scenario. — Dennis Fisher		[ 욥기 1:13 - 1:22 ] - 찬송가 93 장 그가 나를 단련하신 후에는 내가 정금같이 나오리라－욥기 23:10 대도시의 신학대학에서 가르치고 있었을 때, 나는 가끔 통근기차를 기다리면서 간이식당에서 숙제를 채점 하곤 했습니다. 나는 어느 날 실수로 큰 커피컵을 쳤습니다. 그 안에 든 커피가 열려 있던 가방 속으로 몽땅 쏟아졌습니다. 도시에서 통근하는 사람들은 대부분 매우 조용합니다. 그러나 내가 커피를 몽땅 쏟아버린 그 일이 워낙 황당해서인지 그것을 모르는 척 할 수가 없었던 모양입니다. 내 근처에 앉아있던 한 남자가 “최악의 시나리오군!”이라고 크게 말했습니다. 그 말은 명백히 과장된 표현이었습니다. 그러나 우리들 모두는 특정한 어떤 것, 즉 경제적 손실, 자식이나 배우자의 죽음, 암, 혹은 또 다른 사별이나 역경 등에 대한 생각을 하며 두려워합니다. 욥기는 최악의 상황에 대한 사례 연구의 하나입니다. 하지만 욥은 사별과 질병이라는 어려운 상황에서 현명하게 하나님의 역할을 판단합니다. “나의 가는 길을 오직 그가 아시나니 그가 나를 단련하신 후에는 내가 정금같이 나오리라”(욥 23:10). 이 현명한 말 속에서 우리는 두 가지 값진 교훈을 배울 수 있습니다. 그 하나는 우리가 가장 두려워하는 것이 우리의 품성을 시험하고 우리를 강하게 하는데 사용될 수 있다는 것입니다. 또 하나는 하나님은 우리가 고난을 극복할 힘과 위안을 주신다는 것입니다. 하나님께 매달리십시오. 하나님은 어떤 최악의 시나리오에서도 우리 편에서 일하실 것을 약속하셨습니다.

Job 1:13-22

[13] Now there was a day when his sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother's house;
[14] and a messenger came to Job and said, "The oxen were plowing and the donkeys feeding beside them,
[15] "when the Sabeans raided them and took them away--indeed they have killed the servants with the edge of the sword; and I alone have escaped to tell you!"
[16] While he was still speaking, another also came and said, "The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants, and consumed them; and I alone have escaped to tell you!"
[17] While he was still speaking, another also came and said, "The Chaldeans formed three bands, raided the camels and took them away, yes, and killed the servants with the edge of the sword; and I alone have escaped to tell you!"
[18] While he was still speaking, another also came and said, "Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother's house,
[19] "and suddenly a great wind came from across the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell on the young people, and they are dead; and I alone have escaped to tell you!"
[20] Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped.
[21] And he said£º "Naked I came from my mother's womb, And naked shall I return there. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; Blessed be the name of the LORD."
[22] In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong.

하나님은 때로 고통을 통해 기쁨을 보내시네
쓰디쓴 상실을 통하여, 가장 성스러운 것을 얻네
암흑이든, 광명이든 그 모든 것을 통해
내 아버지가 옳은 길로 인도하신다는 것을 나는 아네

살아 계신 주님은 삶에서 두려움을 없애주신다.

욥기 1:13-22

[13] 하루는 욥의 자녀들이 그 맏아들의 집에서 음식을 먹으며 포도주를 마실 때에
[14] 사환이 욥에게 와서 아뢰되 소는 밭을 갈고 나귀는 그 곁에서 풀을 먹는데
[15] 스바 사람이 갑자기 이르러 그것들을 빼앗고 칼로 종들을 죽였나이다 나만 홀로 피하였으므로 주인께 아뢰러 왔나이다
[16] 그가 아직 말하는 동안에 또 한 사람이 와서 아뢰되 하나님의 불이 하늘에서 떨어져서 양과 종들을 살라 버렸나이다 나만 홀로 피하였으므로 주인께 아뢰러 왔나이다
[17] 그가 아직 말하는 동안에 또 한 사람이 와서 아뢰되 갈대아 사람이 세 무리를 지어 갑자기 낙타에게 달려들어 그것을 빼앗으며 칼로 종들을 죽였나이다 나만 홀로 피하였으므로 주인께 아뢰러 왔나이다
[18] 그가 아직 말하는 동안에 또 한 사람이 와서 아뢰되 주인의 자녀들이 그들의 맏아들의 집에서 음식을 먹으며 포도주를 마시는데
[19] 거친 들에서 큰 바람이 와서 집 네 모퉁이를 치매 그 청년들 위에 무너지므로 그들이 죽었나이다 나만 홀로 피하였으므로 주인께 아뢰러 왔나이다 한지라
[20] 욥이 일어나 겉옷을 찢고 머리털을 밀고 땅에 엎드려 예배하며
[21] 이르되 내가 모태에서 알몸으로 나왔사온즉 또한 알몸이 그리로 돌아가올지라 주신 이도 여호와시요 거두신 이도 여호와시오니 여호와의 이름이 찬송을 받으실지니이다 하고
[22] 이 모든 일에 욥이 범죄하지 아니하고 하나님을 향하여 원망하지 아니하니라
