A Good God		좋으신 하나님
[ Psalms 46:12 - 46:11 ] - hymn 444 The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. - Psalm 9:9 When my brother-in-law was a missionary in Mali, West Africa, he was involved in a traffic accident. A man had wandered into the road in front of Chuck¡¯s motorcycle. The cycle struck the man and sent Chuck and the bike sliding along the ground for more than 200 feet. Shortly after Chuck regained consciousness in the hospital, his doctor told him he had been ¡°really lucky.¡± Chuck smiled and replied, ¡°God is good.¡± Later he thought about the day¡¯s events. The man who was struck hadn¡¯t received any permanent injuries, and Chuck would also recover from his injuries. But what if one of them had been killed? He thought, God would be no less good. When we experience tragedy, we may wonder about God¡¯s goodness. Is God always good? Yes, He is. He doesn¡¯t promise that bad things will never happen to us, but He does promise to be ¡°our refuge and strength¡± (Ps. 46:1). He doesn¡¯t promise that we will never walk through heart-wrenching circumstances, but He promises that we won¡¯t be alone (23:4). God is good—no matter what suffering we are experiencing. Even when we don¡¯t understand, we can say with Habakkuk, ¡°Yet will I rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation¡± (3:18). — Cindy Hess Kasper		[ 시편 46:12 - 46:11 ] - 찬송가 444 장 여호와는 또 압제를 당하는 자의 산성이시요 환난 때의 산성이시로다－시편 9:9 제 처남 척이 서아프리카의 말리에서 선교 사역을 하는 동안 교통사고를 당했었습니다. 한 남자가 도로로 들어와 척의 모터사이클 정면으로 달려들었던 것입니다. 모터사이클이 그 사람을 치고서 척을 끌고 약 70미터 정도를 미끄러졌습니다. 척이 병원에서 정신을 차리고 조금 있자 담당 의사가 그에게 “정말 운이 좋으셨어요.”라고 말했습니다. 척은 미소 지으며 답했습니다. “하나님은 좋으신 분입니다.” 후에 그는 그날의 사건에 대해 생각해 보았습니다. 치인 사람에게 아무런 영구 장애가 남지 않았고 척도 역시 외상에서 회복되었습니다. 하지만 그들 중 한 사람이 사망했더라면요? 그는 하나님은 그래도 여전히 좋으신 분이라고 생각했습니다. 우리는 비극을 경험할 때, 하나님의 선하심에 대해 의구심을 가질 수 있습니다. 하나님은 언제나 좋으실까요? 예, 하나님은 언제나 좋으신 분입니다. 하나님은 우리에게 나쁜 일이 결코 없으리라고 약속하시지 않고, 우리의 “피난처와 힘”이 되시리라고 약속하십니다(시 46:1). 하나님은 우리가 결코 애절한 역경에 처하지 않으리라고 약속하시지는 않으시나 우리와 항상 함께 하실 것을 약속하십니다(23:4). 우리가 겪는 고통과 상관없이 하나님은 좋으신 분입니다. 우리가 이해하지 못할 때조차도, 우리는 하박국과 함께, “나는 여호와를 인하여 즐거워하며 나의 구원의 하나님을 인하여 기뻐하리로다”(합 3:18)라고 말할 수 있습니다.

O taste and see that God is good
To all who seek His face;
Yea, blest the one who trusts in Him,
Confiding in His grace. — Psalter

God tests our faith so that we may trust His faithfulness.

Psalm 46:1-11

[1] To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. A Song for Alamoth. God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.
[2] Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
[3] Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah
[4] There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.
[5] God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.
[6] The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted.
[7] The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah
[8] Come, behold the works of the LORD, Who has made desolations in the earth.
[9] He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot in the fire.
[10] Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!
[11] The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah

오 얼굴을 뵙고자하는 모두에게 베푸시는
여호와의 선하심을 맛보아 알찌어다
여호와를 신뢰하는 자는 복이 있도다
그가 하나님의 은혜에 의탁하리라

하나님은 우리의 믿음을 시험하셔서
우리로 하여금 하나님의 신실하심을 믿도록 하신다.

시편 46:1-11

[1] [고라 자손의 시, 인도자를 따라 알라못에 맞춘 노래] 하나님은 우리의 피난처시요 힘이시니 환난 중에 만날 큰 도움이시라
[2] 그러므로 땅이 변하든지 산이 흔들려 바다 가운데에 빠지든지
[3] 바닷물이 솟아나고 뛰놀든지 그것이 넘침으로 산이 흔들릴지라도 우리는 두려워하지 아니하리로다 (셀라)
[4] 한 시내가 있어 나뉘어 흘러 하나님의 성 곧 지존하신 이의 성소를 기쁘게 하도다
[5] 하나님이 그 성 중에 계시매 성이 흔들리지 아니할 것이라 새벽에 하나님이 도우시리로다
[6] 뭇 나라가 떠들며 왕국이 흔들렸더니 그가 소리를 내시매 땅이 녹았도다
[7] 만군의 여호와께서 우리와 함께 하시니 야곱의 하나님은 우리의 피난처시로다 (셀라)
[8] 와서 여호와의 행적을 볼지어다 그가 땅을 황무지로 만드셨도다
[9] 그가 땅 끝까지 전쟁을 쉬게 하심이여 활을 꺾고 창을 끊으며 수레를 불사르시는도다
[10] 이르시기를 너희는 가만히 있어 내가 하나님 됨을 알지어다 내가 뭇 나라 중에서 높임을 받으리라 내가 세계 중에서 높임을 받으리라 하시도다
[11] 만군의 여호와께서 우리와 함께 하시니 야곱의 하나님은 우리의 피난처시로다 (셀라)
