He Is Enough		예수님으로 충분
[ Matthew 14:22 - 14:33 ] - hymn 93 Jesus spoke to them, saying, ¡°Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.¡± - Matthew 14:27 Sometimes we are overwhelmed by life. The crushing waves of disappointment, endless debt, debilitating illness, or trouble with people can cause hopelessness, depression, or despair. It happened to Jesus¡¯ disciples. And it has happened to me. Three statements by the Lord beginning with the words ¡°It is ...¡± offer us comfort, reassurance, and hope that Jesus is enough. The first is in Matthew 4 and is repeated three times: ¡°It is written¡±(vv.4,7,10). In responding to the three temptations of Satan, Jesus gave us proof enough that the Word of God is true and overcomes the most powerful forms of temptation and pressure. The second statement, ¡°It is I¡±(Matt.14:27), was spoken when Jesus told His terrified disciples that He Himself was presence enough to stop the howling storm and calm the raging seas. Jesus spoke the third ¡°It is¡± from the cross: ¡°It is finished!¡±(John19:30). He assured us that His death was provision enough to pay the debt for our sins and set us free. Whatever our circumstances, Jesus is present with His love, compassion, and grace. He is proof, presence, and provision enough to carry us safely through. — David C. Egner		[ 마태복음 14:22 - 14:33 ] - 찬송가 93 장 예수께서 즉시 일러 가라사대 “안심하라 내니 두려워 말라” － 마태복음 14:27 때로는 우리에게 삶이 너무 벅찰 때가 있습니다. 우리의 희망을 꺾으려고 밀려오는 실망의 파도들, 감당하기 힘든 빚, 쇠약하게 만드는 질병, 사람들과의 불화 등은 우리를 절망과 우울 또는 자포자기에 빠지게 합니다. 이와 같은 일은 예수님의 제자들도 겪었고 그리고 내게도 일어났습니다. 영어 성경에서 “It is”로 시작되는 예수님께서 하신 세 가지의 말씀으로 우리는 예수님만으로도 충분하다는 위로와 확신, 그리고 희망을 얻습니다. 첫째 말씀은 마태복음 4장에서 세 번이나 되풀이하신 “기록되었으되...”(4,7,10절)입니다. 예수님은 사단의 유혹을 세 번이나 물리치시면서 하나님의 말씀은 진리이기 때문에 그 어떤 강력한 형태의 유혹과 압력도 능히 극복할 수 있음을 우리들에게 충분히 증명해 주셨습니다. 두 번째 “내니 두려워 말라”(마14:27)라는 말씀은 예수님께서 무서움에 떨고 있는 제자들에게 휘몰아치는 폭풍과 파도도 그가 같이 계시기만 하면 잠잠케 하실 수 있음을 보여주실 때 하신 말씀이었습니다. 세 번째 말씀은 십자가에서 하신 “다 이루었다”(요19:30)입니다. 주님은 자신의 죽음이 우리의 죄 값을 다 치르고 우리를 죄에서 해방시키기에 충분한 베품이라는 것을 우리에게 확신시켜 주셨습니다. 우리의 상황이 어떠할지라도 예수님께서는 사랑과 긍휼과 자비를 가지고 우리와 함께 계십니다. 예수님 자신이 우리를 끝까지 인도하시기에 부족함이 없다는 증거가 되시며, 임재하시며, 그리고 베풀어주십니다.

When trials overwhelm our souls
And tempt us to despair,
We need to reach out to the Lord
And trust His tender care. — Sper

God¡¯s love does not keep us from trials; it helps us get through them.

Matthew 14:22-33

[22] Immediately Jesus made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He sent the multitudes away.
[23] And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there.
[24] But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary.
[25] Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea.
[26] And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, "It is a ghost!" And they cried out for fear.
[27] But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, "Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid."
[28] And Peter answered Him and said, "Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water."
[29] So He said, "Come." And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.
[30] But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!"
[31] And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?"
[32] And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.
[33] Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, "Truly You are the Son of God."

시험이 우리의 영혼을 뒤덮고
절망에 빠뜨리려 할 때
우리는 주께 부르짖고
그의 자비로우신 보살핌에 의탁하세

하나님의 사랑은 우리가 시험에 들지않도록 하시지는 않지만
그것을 견디어 내도록 도와주신다.

마태복음 14:22-33

[22] 예수께서 즉시 제자들을 재촉하사 자기가 무리를 보내는 동안에 배를 타고 앞서 건너편으로 가게 하시고
[23] 무리를 보내신 후에 기도하러 따로 산에 올라가시니라 저물매 거기 혼자 계시더니
[24] 배가 이미 육지에서 수 리나 떠나서 바람이 거스르므로 물결로 말미암아 고난을 당하더라
[25] 밤 사경에 예수께서 바다 위로 걸어서 제자들에게 오시니
[26] 제자들이 그가 바다 위로 걸어오심을 보고 놀라 유령이라 하며 무서워하여 소리 지르거늘
[27] 예수께서 즉시 이르시되 안심하라 나니 두려워하지 말라
[28] 베드로가 대답하여 이르되 주여 만일 주님이시거든 나를 명하사 물 위로 오라 하소서 하니
[29] 오라 하시니 베드로가 배에서 내려 물 위로 걸어서 예수께로 가되
[30] 바람을 보고 무서워 빠져 가는지라 소리 질러 이르되 주여 나를 구원하소서 하니
[31] 예수께서 즉시 손을 내밀어 그를 붙잡으시며 이르시되 믿음이 작은 자여 왜 의심하였느냐 하시고
[32] 배에 함께 오르매 바람이 그치는지라
[33] 배에 있는 사람들이 예수께 절하며 이르되 진실로 하나님의 아들이로소이다 하더라
