Change Your Mind		마음을 바꾸라
[ Acts 26:12 - 26:23 ] - hymn 331 .. repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance. - Acts 26:20 One of my favorite Peanuts comic strips features Charlie Brown saying to Snoopy, ¡°I hear you¡¯re writing a book on theology. I hope you have a good title.¡± Snoopy responds, ¡°I have the perfect title: Has It Ever Occurred To You That You Might Be Wrong?¡± Snoopy¡¯s title reminds us that our understanding of God and what He requires of us is sometimes twisted. Because our wrong beliefs lead to wrong behavior, we need to ¡°repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance¡±(Acts 26:20). The Greek word translated ¡°repent¡± is metanoeo, which means ¡°change your mind.¡± As Paul indicated, repentance does not mean just nodding in polite agreement with God, and continuing the same way we were going. When we turn our thoughts toward God—when we truly agree with Him about what is right—our behavior will follow. Like a car, we go in the direction we are pointed. So, when we truly turn our minds and hearts toward God, our actions change accordingly. Instead of going happily along, assuming that our choices are right, we need to regularly stop and ask ourselves Snoopy¡¯s question. As Paul taught, it is only when we are willing to admit being wrong that we can be certain of being right with God. — Julie Ackerman Link		[ 사도행전 26:12 - 26:23 ] - 찬송가 331 장 회개하고 하나님께로 돌아가서 회개에 합당한 일을 행하라 - 사도행전 26:20 내가 좋아하는 「피넛」이라는 만화에서 찰리 브라운이 스누피에게 “내가 듣기로는 네가 신학에 대하여 글을 쓴다고 하던데, 제목을 좀 근사한 걸로 했으면 좋겠어.”라고 말합니다. 스누피가 “‘당신은 자신이 틀릴 수도 있다는 생각을 한 적이 있는가?’라는 아주 적절한 제목을 생각해 냈지.”라고 대답합니다. 스누피가 정한 제목은 우리들에게 하나님에 대해 그리고 우리를 향하신 그분의 요구가 무엇인지에 대해 우리가 오해하는 때가 종종 있다는 것을 생각나게 해 줍니다. 잘못된 믿음으로 인하여 틀린 행동을 하게 되기 때문에, 우리는 회개하고, 하나님께로 돌아가서 회개에 합당한 일을 행해야 합니(행26:20). 헬라어로 회개란 metanoeo 즉, “마음을 바꾸는 것”을 뜻합니다. 바울이 지적한 것 같이 회개란 단지 하나님 말씀에 동감한다고 고개만 공손하게 끄덕거리고, 가던 길을 그대로 가는 것을 말하는 것이 아닙니다. 우리의 생각이 하나님께로 향할 때, 즉 무엇이 옳은가에 대해서 하나님과 진정으로 동감하게 될 때에야 우리의 행동이 비로소 따르게 됩니다. 자동차와 같이, 우리는 목표하는 방향으로 갑니다. 그래서 우리가 진정으로 우리의 생각과 마음을 하나님께로 돌리면, 우리의 행동은 자연적으로 변하게 마련입니다. 우리의 선택이 맞겠지 하고 만족하며 살아가기 보다는, 정기적으로 멈추어 스누피의 질문을 던져 봐야 할 것입니다. 바울사도가 가르쳐 주신대로, 자신의 잘못을 기꺼이 인정할 용의가 있을 때만 우리와 하나님과의 관계가 올바른 지를 확인할 수 있습니다.

We must acknowledge when we¡¯re wrong,
Confessing it as sin,
If we would know God¡¯s power to heal

Acts 26:12-23

[12] "While thus occupied, as I journeyed to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,
[13] "at midday, O king, along the road I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shining around me and those who journeyed with me.
[14] "And when we all had fallen to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me and saying in the Hebrew language, 'Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.'
[15] "So I said, 'Who are You, Lord?' And He said, 'I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.
[16] 'But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you.
[17] 'I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you,
[18] 'to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.'
[19] "Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision,
[20] "but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance.
[21] "For these reasons the Jews seized me in the temple and tried to kill me.
[22] "Therefore, having obtained help from God, to this day I stand, witnessing both to small and great, saying no other things than those which the prophets and Moses said would come--
[23] "that the Christ would suffer, that He would be the first to rise from the dead, and would proclaim light to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles."

만일 우리가 하나님의 치유하시는 능력과
안에서부터 정결케 하시는 능력을 안다면
우리가 잘못했을 때 그것을 인정해야 하고
그것을 죄로 여겨 자백해야 하네

우리는 욕망을 진리에 맞추든가 아니면
진리를 욕망에 맞추든가 둘 중의 하나를 한다.

사도행전 26:12-23

[12] 그 일로 대제사장들의 권한과 위임을 받고 다메섹으로 갔나이다
[13] 왕이여 정오가 되어 길에서 보니 하늘로부터 해보다 더 밝은 빛이 나와 내 동행들을 둘러 비추는지라
[14] 우리가 다 땅에 엎드러지매 내가 소리를 들으니 히브리 말로 이르되 사울아 사울아 네가 어찌하여 나를 박해하느냐 가시채를 뒷발질하기가 네게 고생이니라
[15] 내가 대답하되 주님 누구시니이까 주께서 이르시되 나는 네가 박해하는 예수라
[16] 일어나 너의 발로 서라 내가 네게 나타난 것은 곧 네가 나를 본 일과 장차 내가 네게 나타날 일에 너로 종과 증인을 삼으려 함이니
[17] 이스라엘과 이방인들에게서 내가 너를 구원하여 그들에게 보내어
[18] 그 눈을 뜨게 하여 어둠에서 빛으로, 사탄의 권세에서 하나님께로 돌아오게 하고 죄 사함과 나를 믿어 거룩하게 된 무리 가운데서 기업을 얻게 하리라 하더이다
[19] 아그립바 왕이여 그러므로 하늘에서 보이신 것을 내가 거스르지 아니하고
[20] 먼저 다메섹과 예루살렘에 있는 사람과 유대 온 땅과 이방인에게까지 회개하고 하나님께로 돌아와서 회개에 합당한 일을 하라 전하므로
[21] 유대인들이 성전에서 나를 잡아 죽이고자 하였으나
[22] 하나님의 도우심을 받아 내가 오늘까지 서서 높고 낮은 사람 앞에서 증언하는 것은 선지자들과 모세가 반드시 되리라고 말한 것밖에 없으니
[23] 곧 그리스도가 고난을 받으실 것과 죽은 자 가운데서 먼저 다시 살아나사 이스라엘과 이방인들에게 빛을 전하시리라 함이니이다 하니라
