Small Step—Giant Leap		작은 한 걸음-위대한 도약
[ Ephesians 4:17 - 4:24 ] - hymn 394 Be renewed in the spirit of your mind. — Ephesians 4:23 In July 1969, I was at Fort Benning, Georgia, training to become a US Army officer. Infantry Officer Candidate School was intense and highly regimented with only rare moments of free time. Surprisingly, on the evening of July 20, we were ordered to our company Day Room, seated in front of a flickering television set, and told simply, ¡°This is history.¡± Amazed, we watched Apollo 11 astronaut Neil Armstrong become the first human to set foot on the moon as he said, ¡°That¡¯s one small step for man; one giant leap for mankind.¡± Our usual curfew was suspended and we talked late into the night—not only about what we had witnessed but about life, God, and eternity. Our demanding routine had been interrupted, and our attention was shifted to what truly matters. All of us need to shift our focus on a daily basis. Maintaining a regular time alone with God allows us to step away from our demanding jobs, break the routine, and concentrate on Him through the Bible and prayer. Our thoughts and actions will change as we follow Paul¡¯s urging to ¡°be renewed in the spirit of your mind¡±(Eph.4:23). What may seem like a small step can be a giant leap each day in our life of faith in Christ. — David C. Each small step of faith is a giant step of growth.

Ephesians 4:17-24

[17] This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind,
[18] having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart;
[19] who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
[20] But you have not so learned Christ,
[21] if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus£º
[22] that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts,
[23] and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
[24] and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

작은 걸음도 하나의 큰 도약이 되네
매일 매일 성장하는 믿음 안에서
만일 이러한 걸음이 하나님과 함께하는
말씀공부와 기도의 시간이라면

믿음의 작은 걸음 하나하나가 성장을 위한 큰 도약이다.

에베소서 4:17-24

[17] 그러므로 내가 이것을 말하며 주 안에서 증언하노니 이제부터 너희는 이방인이 그 마음의 허망한 것으로 행함 같이 행하지 말라
[18] 그들의 총명이 어두워지고 그들 가운데 있는 무지함과 그들의 마음이 굳어짐으로 말미암아 하나님의 생명에서 떠나 있도다
[19] 그들이 감각 없는 자가 되어 자신을 방탕에 방임하여 모든 더러운 것을 욕심으로 행하되
[20] 오직 너희는 그리스도를 그같이 배우지 아니하였느니라
[21] 진리가 예수 안에 있는 것 같이 너희가 참으로 그에게서 듣고 또한 그 안에서 가르침을 받았을진대
[22] 너희는 유혹의 욕심을 따라 썩어져 가는 구습을 따르는 옛 사람을 벗어 버리고
[23] 오직 너희의 심령이 새롭게 되어
[24] 하나님을 따라 의와 진리의 거룩함으로 지으심을 받은 새 사람을 입으라
