When The Ground Shakes		땅이 흔들릴 때
[ Psalms 18:1 - 18:6 ] - hymn 363 In my distress, I called upon the Lord. — Psalm 18:6 Several days after a devastating earthquake in the San Francisco area, a young boy was seen rocking and swaying on the school playground. His principal asked him if he was okay, and the boy nodded yes and said, ¡°I am moving like the earth, so if there¡¯s another earthquake I won¡¯t feel it.¡± He wanted to prepare himself for another shaking of the ground. Sometimes after a trauma, we brace ourselves for what might be coming next. If we¡¯ve had a phone call that brought bad news, every time the phone rings we feel panicky and wonder, What has happened now? The ¡°ground was shaking¡± for the psalmist David after King Saul tried to kill him (1 Sam. 19:10). He ran and hid. He thought death was next and told his friend Jonathan, ¡°There is but a step between me and death¡±(20:3). He wrote, ¡°The pangs of death surrounded me, and the floods of ungodliness made me afraid¡±(Ps.18:4). David cried to the Lord in his distress(v.6) and found that He was a stabilizer, One he could trust would always be with him. He said, ¡°The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; ... my stronghold¡±(v.2). The Lord will be that for us also when the ground shakes under us. — Anne Cetas		[ 시편 18:1 - 18:6 ] - 찬송가 363 장 내가 환란에서 여호와께 아뢰며 나의 하나님께부르짖었더니－시편 18:6 샌프란시스코에서 대지진이 일어난 며칠 후, 한 소년이 학교 놀이터에서 몸을 흔들어 대고 있었습니다. 교장선생님이 괜찮으냐고 물어 보자 그 소년은 고개를 끄덕거리며 “나는 지구처럼 움직이고 있어요, 다음에 다른 지진이 온다면 나는 느끼지 못할거예요.” 그는 또 다른 땅의 흔들림에 대비하고 있었습니다. 우리는 가끔 큰 충격을 받은 후에는 다음에 닥쳐올 충격에 대비해 긴장하게 됩니다. 만일 우리가 나쁜 소식을 알려준 전화를 받은 적이 있으면, 전화가 울릴 때마다 우리는 겁에 질려 무슨 일이 일어났나? 하고 불안해합니다. 사울 왕이 시편기자인 다윗을 죽이려고 하니(삼상19:10) 다윗으로서는 마치 땅이 흔들리는 것 같았습니다. 그는 달아나 숨어 있었습니다. 그는 죽음이 다가오고 있다고 느끼고 그의 친구인 요나단에게 말하였습니다. “나와 사망의 사이는 한 걸음 뿐이니라”(20:3). 그는 “사망의 줄이 나를 얽고 불의의 창수가 나를 두렵게 하였으며”(시18:4)라고 썼습니다. 다윗은 환난 중에 하나님께 부르짖은 후(6절) 그분은 평안케 하시는 분이시며, 자신이 의지하는 그분이 언제나 자신과 함께하신다는 것을 알게 되었습니다. 그는 “여호와는 나의 반석이시요 나의 요새시요 나를 건지시는 자시요, 나의 하나님이시요 나의 피할 바위시요, (그의 안에서 나는 믿으리니)....나의 산성이시로다”(2절)라고 말하였습니다. 우리 아래에서 땅이 흔들릴 때, 하나님은 우리에게도 그런 분이십니다.

Psalm 18:1-6

[1] To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD, who spoke to the LORD the words of this song on the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. And he Said£º I will love You, O LORD, my strength.
[2] The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
[3] I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.
[4] The pangs of death surrounded me, And the floods of ungodliness made me afraid.
[5] The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me.
[6] In my distress I called upon the LORD, And cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry came before Him, even to His ears.

하나님은 우리의 피할 산성이시니
폭풍이 닥쳐올 때 피난처시요
어떠한 재난에도 안전하니
폭풍이 닥쳐올 때 피난처시라

인생의 폭풍으로부터 살아남기 위해서는
만세반석이신 하나님께 의지해야 할 것이다.

시편 18:1-6

[1] [여호와의 종 다윗의 시, 인도자를 따라 부르는 노래, 여호와께서 다윗을 그 모든 원수들의 손에서와 사울의 손에서 건져 주신 날에 다윗이 이 노래의 말로 여호와께 아뢰어 이르되] 나의 힘이신 여호와여 내가 주를 사랑하나이다
[2] 여호와는 나의 반석이시요 나의 요새시요 나를 건지시는 이시요 나의 하나님이시요 내가 그 안에 피할 나의 바위시요 나의 방패시요 나의 구원의 뿔이시요 나의 산성이시로다
[3] 내가 찬송 받으실 여호와께 아뢰리니 내 원수들에게서 구원을 얻으리로다
[4] 사망의 줄이 나를 얽고 불의의 창수가 나를 두렵게 하였으며
[5] 스올의 줄이 나를 두르고 사망의 올무가 내게 이르렀도다
[6] 내가 환난 중에서 여호와께 아뢰며 나의 하나님께 부르짖었더니 그가 그의 성전에서 내 소리를 들으심이여 그의 앞에서 나의 부르짖음이 그의 귀에 들렸도다
