Works that are done out of love for Jesus shine brightest in a dark world.
Revelation 1:10-2:5
[10] I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet,
[11] saying, "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last," and, "What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia£º to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea."
[12] Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands,
[13] and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band.
[14] His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire;
[15] His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters;
[16] He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.
[17] And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, "Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last.
[18] "I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.
[19] "Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this.
[20] "The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands£º The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands which you saw are the seven churches.
[2:1] "To the angel of the church of Ephesus write, 'These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands£º
[2] "I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars;
[3] "and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name's sake and have not become weary.
[4] "Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.
[5] "Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place--unless you repent. |

주님, 우리가 무엇을 말하고 행하든지
항상 주님을 우선에 두게 하소서
그래서 우리를 통해 비추는 당신의 빛이
세상에서 꼭 필요한 것이라는 것을 알게 하소서
예수님을 사랑하는 마음으로 행한 사역은
어두운 세상에서 가장 밝게 빛난다.
요한계시록 1:10-2:5
[10] 주의 날에 내가 성령에 감동되어 내 뒤에서 나는 나팔 소리 같은 큰 음성을 들으니
[11] 이르되 네가 보는 것을 두루마리에 써서 에베소, 서머나, 버가모, 두아디라, 사데, 빌라델비아, 라오디게아 등 일곱 교회에 보내라 하시기로
[12] 몸을 돌이켜 나에게 말한 음성을 알아 보려고 돌이킬 때에 일곱 금 촛대를 보았는데
[13] 촛대 사이에 인자 같은 이가 발에 끌리는 옷을 입고 가슴에 금띠를 띠고
[14] 그의 머리와 털의 희기가 흰 양털 같고 눈 같으며 그의 눈은 불꽃 같고
[15] 그의 발은 풀무불에 단련한 빛난 주석 같고 그의 음성은 많은 물 소리와 같으며
[16] 그의 오른손에 일곱 별이 있고 그의 입에서 좌우에 날선 검이 나오고 그 얼굴은 해가 힘있게 비치는 것 같더라
[17] 내가 볼 때에 그의 발 앞에 엎드러져 죽은 자 같이 되매 그가 오른손을 내게 얹고 이르시되 두려워하지 말라 나는 처음이요 마지막이니
[18] 곧 살아 있는 자라 내가 전에 죽었었노라 볼지어다 이제 세세토록 살아 있어 사망과 음부의 열쇠를 가졌노니
[19] 그러므로 네가 본 것과 지금 있는 일과 장차 될 일을 기록하라
[20] 네가 본 것은 내 오른손의 일곱 별의 비밀과 또 일곱 금 촛대라 일곱 별은 일곱 교회의 사자요 일곱 촛대는 일곱 교회니라
[2:1] 에베소 교회의 사자에게 편지하라 오른손에 있는 일곱 별을 붙잡고 일곱 금 촛대 사이를 거니시는 이가 이르시되
[2] 내가 네 행위와 수고와 네 인내를 알고 또 악한 자들을 용납하지 아니한 것과 자칭 사도라 하되 아닌 자들을 시험하여 그의 거짓된 것을 네가 드러낸 것과
[3] 또 네가 참고 내 이름을 위하여 견디고 게으르지 아니한 것을 아노라
[4] 그러나 너를 책망할 것이 있나니 너의 처음 사랑을 버렸느니라
[5] 그러므로 어디서 떨어졌는지를 생각하고 회개하여 처음 행위를 가지라 만일 그리하지 아니하고 회개하지 아니하면 내가 네게 가서 네 촛대를 그 자리에서 옮기리라 |
