Childlike Faith		어린아이 같은 믿음
[ Matthew 8:5 - 8:10 ] - hymn 340 The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. — Luke 18:27 On the way home from a family camping trip, 6-year-old Tanya and her dad were the only ones still awake in the car. As Tanya looked at the full moon through the car window, she asked, ¡°Daddy, do you think I can touch the moon if I stand on my tiptoes?¡± ¡°No, I don¡¯t think so,¡± he smiled. ¡°Can you reach it?¡± ¡°No, I don¡¯t think I can either.¡± She was quiet for a moment, then she said confidently, ¡°Daddy, maybe if you hold me up on your shoulders?¡± Faith? Yes—the childlike faith that daddies can do anything. True faith, though, has the written promise of God for its foundation. In Hebrews 11:1, we read, ¡°Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.¡± Jesus talked a lot about faith, and throughout the Gospels we read of His response to those who had great faith. When a paralyzed man¡¯s friends brought him to Jesus, He ¡°saw their faith,¡± forgave the man of his sins, and healed him(Matt.9:2-6). When the centurion asked Jesus to ¡°speak a word, and my servant will be healed¡±(8:8), Jesus ¡°marveled¡± and said, ¡°I have not found such great faith¡±(8:10). When we have faith in God, we will find that all things are possible(Luke18:27). — Cindy Hess Kasper		[ 마태복음 8:5 - 8:10 ] - 찬송가 340 장 무릇 사람의 할 수 없는 것을 하나님은 하실 수 있느니라 - 누가복음 18:27 가족캠핑 여행에서 돌아오는 길에, 여섯 살 난 타냐와 아빠만 차 안에서 자지 않고 깨어있었습니다. 타냐는 자동차의 창을 통해 보름달을 보면서 물었습니다. “아빠, 내가 발돋움하면 저 달을 만질 수 있을까?” “아니, 그러지 못할 걸.”하며 아빠는 미소를 지었습니다. “아빠는 닿을 수 있어?” “아니, 나도 그렇게 못해.” 잠시 조용히 있더니 아이는 확신에 차서 말했습니다. “만약에 아빠가 나를 아빠 어께에 올려놓으면 되지 않을까?” 믿음이란 바로 이런 것입니다. 아빠는 무엇이든 할 수 있다는 어린아이 같은 믿음 말입니다. 하지만 진정한 믿음은 기록된 하나님의 말씀에 기초를 두고 있습니다. 히브리서 11장 1절은 “믿음은 바라는 것들의 실상이요 보지 못하는 것들의 증거니”라고 말하고 있습니다, 예수님은 믿음에 대하여 많은 말씀을 하셨으며, 우리는 복음서를 통해서 주님이 큰 믿음을 가졌던 사람들에게 어떻게 응답하셨는지를 봅니다. 중풍 병자의 친구들이 그를 예수님께 데리고 왔을 때, 주님은 그들의 믿음을 보시고 병자의 죄를 용서하시고 병을 고쳐주셨습니다 (마 9:2-6). 백부장이 “다만 말씀으로만 하옵소서 그러면 내 하인이 낫겠삽나이다”(8:8)라고 했을 때, 예수님은 “기이히 여겨” “아무에게서도 이만한 믿음을 만나보지 못하였노라”(8:10)라고 말씀하셨습니다. 우리에게 하나님에 대한 믿음이 있으면 모든 일이 가능함을 우리는 알게 될 것입니다(눅18:27).

God, give me the faith of a little child
Who trusts so implicitly,
Who simply and gladly believes Thy Word,
And never would question Thee. — Showerman

A childlike faith unlocks the door to the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 8:5-10

[5] Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him,
[6] saying, "Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented."
[7] And Jesus said to him, "I will come and heal him."
[8] The centurion answered and said, "Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.
[9] "For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and to another, 'Come,' and he comes; and to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it."
[10] When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, "Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!

하나님, 의심 없이 무조건 믿으며
당신의 말씀을 단순하고 기쁘게 믿고
당신을 절대로 의심하지 않는
어린아이 같은 믿음을 주시옵소서

어린아이 같은 믿음은 하늘나라 문에 걸린 빗장을 풀게 한다.

마태복음 8:5-10

[5] 예수께서 가버나움에 들어가시니 한 백부장이 나아와 간구하여
[6] 이르되 주여 내 하인이 중풍병으로 집에 누워 몹시 괴로워하나이다
[7] 이르시되 내가 가서 고쳐 주리라
[8] 백부장이 대답하여 이르되 주여 내 집에 들어오심을 나는 감당하지 못하겠사오니 다만 말씀으로만 하옵소서 그러면 내 하인이 낫겠사옵나이다
[9] 나도 남의 수하에 있는 사람이요 내 아래에도 군사가 있으니 이더러 가라 하면 가고 저더러 오라 하면 오고 내 종더러 이것을 하라 하면 하나이다
[10] 예수께서 들으시고 놀랍게 여겨 따르는 자들에게 이르시되 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 이스라엘 중 아무에게서도 이만한 믿음을 보지 못하였노라
