A Convenient Christianity		편리한 기독교 신앙
[ Matthew 16:24 - 16:28 ] - hymn 367 Whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. - Matthew 16:25 So many television programs, so little time to watch them. Apparently that's what our culture thinks, because now technology allows us to see an hour-long program in just 6 minutes or less! The Minisode Network has pruned episodes of popular series into shorter, more convenient packages for interested viewers. "The shows you love-only shorter" is how it's advertised. All to make our life more convenient. Some have tried to make the Christian life more convenient. They choose to practice Christianity on Sunday only. They attend a religious service at whatever church makes them most comfortable. They give a small offering and are nice to fellow churchgoers-nothing that requires much effort on their part. That way they can have the rest of the week to themselves, to live as they please. That would be a convenient Christianity. But we know that following Jesus is a lifestyle and not a Sunday-only convenience. Being a "disciple" calls for giving up our lives for Him(Matt.16:25). It's about living as Jesus calls us to live, daily giving up our plans and purposes for His. A relationship with Him causes us to be concerned with our thoughts, decisions, attitudes, and actions-all to make our life joy-filled for us and pleasing to God. - Dennis Fisher		[ 마태복음 16:24 - 16:28 ] - 찬송가 367 장 누구든지 나를 위하여 제 목숨을 잃으면 찾으리라 - 마태복음 16:25 텔레비전 프로그램들은 너무나 많고, 그것들을 보기에는 시간이 너무 적습니다. 요즘 문화가 바로 그 점에 착안한 것 같습니다. 왜냐하면 현재의 과학기술은 우리에게 한 시간짜리 프로그램을 단 6분 이내로 볼 수 있게 해주기 때문입니다! 미니소드 네트워크 회사는 인기 연속물을 군더더기를 제거하고 짧은 묶음들로 만들어 관심 있는 시청자들에게 더 편리한 상품으로 제공하고 있습니다. 그것은 "당신이 좋아하는 쇼- 더 짧습니다."라고 광고합니다. 모든 것들이 우리의 삶을 더 편하게 만들기 위해 진행되고 있습니다. 더 편하게 기독교인의 생활을 하려고 노력하는 사람들이 있습니다. 그들은 오직 주일에만 기독교 신앙을 이행하려고 마음먹습니다. 아무 교회이건 가장 편안하게 느껴지는 교회의 종교 의식에 참여하고, 헌금을 조금 내고, 같이 교회 다니는 사람들을 친절하게 대합니다. 이러는 데는 많은 노력이 필요 없습니다. 그렇게 하면서 그들은 그 주간의 남은 날들을 그들이 원하는 대로 사는 것입니다. 그것은 편리한 기독교 신앙이라고 할 수 있을 것입니다. 하지만 우리는 예수님을 따르는 것은 삶의 방식이지, 편리하게 주일 하루만 지키는 것이 아니라는 것을 압니다. "제자"가 되려면 주님을 위해 우리 삶을 포기해야 합니다(마 16:25). 그것은 예수님이 우리에게 살라고 하신대로 사는 것이며, 주님의 계획과 목적을 위해 매일매일 우리의 계획과 목적을 포기하는 것입니다. 주님과 친밀한 관계를 가질 때 우리는 우리의 생각과 결정, 태도, 행동에 큰 관심을 가지게 됩니다. 우리의 삶이 그것들을 통해 우리에게는 즐거움이 가득하고 하나님께는 기쁨을 드리는 것이 되도록 말입니다.

A prayer of faith made in the past;

Faith in Christ is not just a single step but a life of walking with Him.

Matthew 16:24-28

[24] Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
[25] "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
[26] "For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
[27] "For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.
[28] "Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom."

그리스도인의 생활은
과거에 했던 믿음의 기도 그 이상이라네
그리스도와, 영원히 존재할 것을 위해 살려고
매일매일 헌신하는 것이라네

그리스도를 믿는 믿음은 단순한 한 발짝의 걸음이 아니라
주님과 함께 계속 걸어가는 삶이다.

마태복음 16:24-28

[24] 이에 예수께서 제자들에게 이르시되 누구든지 나를 따라오려거든 자기를 부인하고 자기 십자가를 지고 나를 따를 것이니라
[25] 누구든지 제 목숨을 구원하고자 하면 잃을 것이요 누구든지 나를 위하여 제 목숨을 잃으면 찾으리라
[26] 사람이 만일 온 천하를 얻고도 제 목숨을 잃으면 무엇이 유익하리요 사람이 무엇을 주고 제 목숨과 바꾸겠느냐
[27] 인자가 아버지의 영광으로 그 천사들과 함께 오리니 그 때에 각 사람이 행한 대로 갚으리라
[28] 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 여기 서 있는 사람 중에 죽기 전에 인자가 그 왕권을 가지고 오는 것을 볼 자들도 있느니라
