The Chain Of Ungrace		무자비의 굴레
[ Matthew 6:9 - 6:15 ] - hymn 193 Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. - Matthew 6:12 When I feel wronged, I can contrive a hundred reasons against forgiveness. "He needs to learn a lesson." "I'll let her stew for a while; it'll do her good." "It's not up to me to make the first move." When I finally soften to the point of granting forgiveness, it seems a leap from hard logic to mushy sentiment. One factor that motivates me to forgive is that as a Christian I am commanded to, as the child of a Father who forgives. Jesus said, "If you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses"(Mark11:25). But beyond that, I can identify three pragmatic reasons. First, forgiveness halts the cycle of blame and pain, breaking the chain of ungrace. Without it we remain bound to the people we can't forgive, held in their vise grip. Second, forgiveness loosens the stranglehold of guilt in the perpetrator. It allows the possibility of transformation in the guilty party, even if a just punishment is still required. And third, forgiveness creates a remarkable linkage, placing the forgiver on the same side as the party who did the wrong. We are not as different from the wrongdoer as we would like to think, for we too must ask our heavenly Father, "Forgive us our debts"(Matt.6:12). - Philip Yancey		[ 마태복음 6:9 - 6:15 ] - 찬송가 193 장 우리가 우리에게 죄지은 자를 사하여 준 것 같이 우리 죄를 사하여 주옵시고 - 마태복음 6:12 내가 부당한 일을 당했다고 생각될 때 나는 용서하지 못할 이유 백 가지를 들 수 있습니다. "그 사람에게는 교훈이 필요해." "그 여자도 마음고생 좀 해야 돼, 그것이 그 여자한테 좋을 거야." "내가 먼저 나설 일이 아니지." 그러다가 내가 용서할 수 있을 정도까지 누그러졌을 때는 딱딱한 논리에서 벗어나 유연한 감정으로 바뀌는 것 같습니다. 나로 하여금 용서하게 만드는 한 가지 요인은 용서하시는 하나님 아버지의 자녀인 그리스도인으로서 그리하도록 명령받았기 때문입니다. "서서 기도할 때에 아무에게나 혐의가 있거든 용서하라 그리하여야 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지도 너희 허물을 사하여 주시리라"(막11:25)라고 예수님이 말씀하셨습니다. 그러나 그것 말고도 나는 세 가지 실질적인 이유를 들 수 있습니다. 첫째, 용서는 비난과 고통이 반복되는 악순환을 멈추게 하고 무자비의 굴레를 끊어줍니다. 용서하지 않으면 용서하지 못한 사람에게 매여 있을 수밖에 없으며, 그들의 악한 손아귀에 사로잡혀 있게 됩니다. 둘째, 용서는 잘못한 사람을 질식할 것만 같은 죄의식으로부터 풀어줍니다. 벌을 받아야 마땅한 경우라 하더라도 잘못을 행한 쪽에서 변화될 수 있는 가능성이 생기게 됩니다. 그리고 셋째, 용서는 용서해야 할 사람도 잘못을 저지른 사람과 같은 입장이 되어보게끔 놀랍도록 서로를 연결시켜 줍니다. 우리는 잘못을 행한 사람들과 우리가 크게 다르다고 생각하지만 그렇지 않습니다. 우리도 하나님 아버지께 "우리의 죄를 사하여 주옵시고"(마6:12) 라고 구해야만 하기 때문입니다.

Matthew 6:9-15

[9] After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
[10] Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
[11] Give us this day our daily bread.
[12] And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
[13] And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
[14] For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
[15] But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

주님께서 당하신 수치와 경멸과 형벌
갈보리의 절망을 생각해볼 때
원망은 사라지고 이렇게 말하게 되네
"주님, 저희를 용서하소서 자기들이 하는 것을 알지 못합니다!"

다른 사람을 용서하지 못하는 사람은
자기가 반드시 건너야할 다리에 불을 지르는 것과 같다.

마태복음 6:9-15

[9] 그러므로 너희는 이렇게 기도하라 하늘에 계신 우리 아버지여 이름이 거룩히 여김을 받으시오며
[10] 나라이 임하옵시며 뜻이 하늘에서 이룬 것같이 땅에서도 이루어지이다

[12] 우리가 우리에게 죄 지은 자를 사하여 준 것 같이 우리 죄를 사하여 주옵시고
[13] 우리를 시험에 들게 하지 마옵시고 다만 악에서 구하옵소서 (나라와 권세와 영광이 아버지께 영원히 있사옵나이다 아멘)
[14] 너희가 사람의 과실을 용서하면 너희 천부께서도 너희 과실을 용서하시려니와
[15] 너희가 사람의 과실을 용서하지 아니하면 너희 아버지께서도 너희 과실을 용서하지 아니하시리라
