Erev Yom Kippur		에렙 욤 키푸르
[ Matthew 5:21 - 5:26 ] - hymn 334 First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. - Matthew 5:24 In Judaism, the holiest day of the year is Yom Kippur, the day of atonement. On that day, the nation seeks God's forgiveness for sins both personal and national. What is interesting, however, is the day before Yom Kippur, known as Erev Yom Kippur. It represents a person's last opportunity to seek forgiveness from other people before Yom Kippur begins. This is important because, in Jewish thought, you must seek forgiveness from other people before you can seek the forgiveness of God. Today, we are called to do the same. Jesus pointed out that in order to worship Him with all our heart, we first need to resolve matters with others. In Matthew 5:23-24, He said, "If you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift." Even in a matter so basic as our giving, the ability to truly worship God is hindered by the reality of relationships broken by our wrong actions, attitudes, and words. So that our worship can be pleasing and acceptable to God, let us make every effort to be reconciled to one another-today. - Bill Crowder		[ 마태복음 5:21 - 5:26 ] - 찬송가 334 장 먼저 가서 형제와 화목하고 그 후에 와서 예물을 드리라 - 마태복음 5:24 유대교에서는 일 년 중 가장 성스러운 날이 욤 키푸르, 즉 속죄의 날입니다. 그날은 나라 전체가 개인과 국가의 죄를 놓고 하나님께 용서를 구합니다. 그러나 흥미있는 것은 욤 키푸르 하루 전날인‘에렙 욤 키푸르’입니다. 그것은 욤 키푸르가 시작되기 전에 다른 사람들로부터 용서를 구하는 마지막 기회를 뜻합니다. 유대인들은 하나님으로부터 용서를 구하기 전에 사람들로부터 먼저 용서를 구해야만 한다고 생각하기 때문에 이 날은 중요합니다. 오늘날 우리도 그렇게 하도록 부름받고 있습니다. 예수님은 우리가 전심으로 주님을 섬기기 위해서는 우선 다른 사람과의 문제를 해결해야 한다고 지적하셨습니다. 마태복음 5장 23-24절에서 예수님은 "예물을 제단에 드리다가 거기서 네 형제에게 원망 들을 만한 일이 있는 줄 생각나거든 예물을 제단 앞에 두고 먼저 가서 형제와 화목하고 그 후에 와서 예물을 드리라"라고 말씀하셨습니다. 드리는 것 같이 아주 기본적인 일에 있어서도, 우리의 잘못된 행동이나 태도, 말들로 인해 관계가 깨어져 있다는 현실이 우리로 하여금 하나님께 진정으로 예배드릴 수 없게 만듭니다. 우리의 예배가 하나님을 기쁘시게 하고, 받으실 만한 예배가 되게 하기 위해 서로 화목할 수 있도록 최선을 다합시다.

Matthew 5:21-26

[21] "You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.'
[22] "But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, 'Raca!' shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of hell fire.
[23] "Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you,
[24] "leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
[25] "Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison.
[26] "Assuredly, I say to you, you will by no means get out of there till you have paid the last penny.

"용서해주세요."라고 진심으로 말하세요
이 말이 하나님을 얼마나 기쁘게 해 드릴까!

이웃을 해롭게 하면
당신과 하나님 사이에 벽이 가로놓이게 된다.

마태복음 5:21-26

[21] 옛 사람에게 말한 바 살인치 말라 누구든지 살인하면 심판을 받게 되리라 하였다는 것을 너희가 들었으나
[22] 나는 너희에게 이르노니 형제에게 노하는 자마다 심판을 받게 되고 형제를 대하여 라가라 하는 자는 공회에 잡혀가게 되고 미련한 놈이라 하는 자는 지옥 불에 들어가게 되리라
[23] 그러므로 예물을 제단에 드리려다가 거기서 네 형제에게 원망들을 만한 일이 있는 것이 생각나거든
[24] 예물을 제단 앞에 두고 먼저 가서 형제와 화목하고 그 후에 와서 예물을 드리라
[25] 너를 고발하는 자와 함께 길에 있을 때에 급히 사화하라 그 고발하는 자가 너를 재판관에게 내어주고 재판관이 옥리에게 내어주어 옥에 가둘까 염려하라
[26] 진실로 네게 이르노니 네가 한 푼이라도 남김이 없이 다 갚기 전에는 결단코 거기서 나오지 못하리라
