Fire Mountain		불의 산
[ Matthew 24:36 - 24:44 ] - hymn 163 Be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. - Matthew 24:44 Rising 2,900 meters(9,600 ft.) above the rainforest in Indonesia's southern Java, Mount Merapi(the Fire Mountain) is one of the world's most dangerous volcanoes. As the Fire Mountain showed signs of renewed activity, authorities tried to evacuate local residents. Then, on May 13, 2006, Merapi spewed a gray plume of sulfurous smoke that resembled a flock of sheep leaving the crater. Amazingly, villagers ignored the signs and returned to tending their livestock, apparently forgetting that in 1994 Merapi had killed 60 people. It's our human tendency to ignore signs. When Jesus left the temple at Jerusalem for the last time, His disciples asked what would signal His return to earth(Matt.24:3). He told them many things to watch for, but warned that people would still be unprepared. The apostle Peter told us that in the last days scoffers would say of Jesus' return: "Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation"(2 Peter3:4). Scoffers are with us today, just as Peter warned. Are you among them? Or are you ready for the Lord Jesus to return? Ignoring these signs is even more dangerous than living in the shadow of the Fire Mountain. - C. P. Hia		[ 마태복음 24:36 - 24:44 ] - 찬송가 163 장 이러므로 너희도 예비하고 있으라 생각지 않은 때에 인자가 오리라 - 마태복음 24:44 인도네시아 남쪽에 있는 자바 섬 열대우림 위에 2,900미터 높이로 솟아 있는 메라피 산(불의 산)은 세계에서 가장 위험한 화산 중 하나입니다. 불의 산이 재활동의 기미를 보이자, 당국은 지역 주민들을 대피시키고자 했습니다. 그러던 2006년 5월 13일 메라피는 분화구에서 마치 한 무리의 양떼 같이 보이는 회색의 유황 연기를 내뿜었습니다. 놀랍게도 마을 사람들은 그 신호를 무시하고 가축을 돌보러 갔습니다. 1994년에 메라피가 60명을 죽게 하였다는 것은 까맣게 잊고 말입니다. 이와 같이 사람들은 징조를 무시하는 경향이 있습니다. 예수님이 최후로 예루살렘 성전을 떠나실 때, 그 제자들은 주님이 이 땅에 다시 오실 때 어떤 징조가 나타날 것인지를 물었습니다(마24:3). 예수님은 그들에게 주의할 많은 일들을 말씀하시면서, 그때에도 사람들은 준비되어 있지 않을 것이라고 경고하셨습니다. 베드로 사도는 말세에 사람들이 비웃으며 예수님의 재림에 대해 "주의 강림하신다는 약속이 어디 있느뇨? 조상들이 잔 후로부터 만물이 처음 창조할 때와 같이 그냥 있다"라고 할 것이라고 말했습니다(벧후3:4). 베드로가 경고한 대로 오늘날도 비웃는 자들이 우리 주변에 있습니다. 당신도 그 중의 한 사람입니까? 아니면 당신은 주 예수의 재림에 대비해 준비가 되어 있습니까? 이 징조들을 무시하는 것은 불의 산 그늘에 사는 것보다 더욱 위험합니다.

Matthew 24:36-44

[36] "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
[37] As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
[38] For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark;
[39] and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
[40] Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.
[41] Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
[42] "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
[43] But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into.
[44] So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

주님이 오시는 징후가 늘어나고
아침 햇살은 동쪽하늘을 가르네
보라, 그 때가 가까이 오고 있으니
오늘이 그 날이라면 어찌하리오?

성경을 무시하는 것은 재앙을 부르는 일이다.

마태복음 24:36-44

[36] 그러나 그 날과 그 때는 아무도 모르나니 하늘의 천사들도, 아들도 모르고 오직 아버지만 아시느니라
[37] 노아의 때와 같이 인자의 임함도 그러하리라
[38] 홍수 전에 노아가 방주에 들어가던 날까지 사람들이 먹고 마시고 장가 들고 시집 가고 있으면서
[39] 홍수가 나서 그들을 다 멸하기까지 깨닫지 못하였으니 인자의 임함도 이와 같으리라
[40] 그 때에 두 사람이 밭에 있으매 한 사람은 데려감을 당하고 한 사람은 버려둠을 당할 것이요
[41] 두 여자가 맷돌질을 하고 있으매 한 사람은 데려감을 당하고 한 사람은 버려둠을 당할 것이니라
[42] 그러므로 깨어 있으라 어느 날에 너희 주가 임할는지 너희가 알지 못함이니라
[43] 너희도 아는 바니 만일 집 주인이 도둑이 어느 시각에 올 줄을 알았더라면 깨어 있어 그 집을 뚫지 못하게 하였으리라
[44] 이러므로 너희도 준비하고 있으라 생각하지 않은 때에 인자가 오리라
