[ Matthew 6:25 - 6:34 ] - hymn 432 Look at the birds of the air .... - Matthew 6:26 Twig by twig a cardinal constructed a bowl-shaped home in the bush outside my office window. Soon she laid an egg and kept it warm until it hatched. I named the little bird Michael. Although he was tiny, he had a huge appetite. His parents worked hard to keep him fed and safe. In a few months, Michael was ready to leave, and I was there to witness the amazing event. When Michael left, so did mom and dad. The nest remained empty until the next spring. When mama cardinal returned, I was happy to see her but also sad. We had sold our house and I was concerned that the new owners might chop down the bush. But my concern soon turned to amazement. As I dismantled my office, mama cardinal dismantled her nest. By the time we left, so had the cardinal family. Mama cardinal's God-given instincts had told her to move. This brought to mind another nature lesson. Using birds and lilies as examples, Jesus urged people not to worry. Since God takes care of birds, surely He will take care of His people(Matt.6:26-30). When concern for our own well-being leads to anxious thoughts, we can look at the birds and be assured of our value to God and of His care for us. - Julie Ackerman Link		[ 마태복음 6:25 - 6:34 ] - 찬송가 432 장 공중의 새를 보라 - 마태복음 6:26 홍관조 한 마리가 내 사무실 창문 밖에 있는 덤불에 나뭇가지를 하나하나 엮어서 대접모양의 둥지를 만들었습니다. 얼마 되지 않아 알을 낳고는 부화할 때까지 따뜻하게 품고 있었습니다. 나는 조그만 새끼 새의 이름을 마이클이라고 지어 주었습니다. 아주 자그마하였지만 그 새는 왕성한 식욕을 갖고 있었습니다. 부모 새들은 그에게 먹이를 먹이고 안전하게 보호하기 위해 열심히 일했습니다. 몇 달 후에 마이클은 둥지에서 떠날 준비가 되었고 나는 그 대단한 광경을 목격할 수 있었습니다. 마이클이 떠나자 엄마, 아빠 새들도 떠나버렸습니다. 그 둥지는 다음해 봄까지 비어 있었습니다. 엄마 홍관조가 돌아왔을 때 나는 반가우면서도 한편으로는 슬펐습니다. 우리는 이미 집을 팔았으므로 새 주인이 그 덤불을 자를까봐 걱정이 되었던 것입니다. 그러나 나의 걱정은 곧 놀라움으로 바뀌었습니다. 내가 사무실을 치우고 있을 때 엄마 홍관조도 그 둥지를 철거했습니다. 우리가 떠날 즈음에는 홍관조도 이미 떠나고 없었습니다. 하나님이 주신 본능이 엄마 홍관조에게 떠나라고 했던 것입니다. 이것이 나에게 자연이 주는 다른 교훈을 생각나게 했습니다. 예수님은 공중의 새들과 들의 백합화를 예로 들어 사람들에게 걱정하지 말라고 하셨습니다. 새들도 돌보시는 하나님이시므로, 하나님은 그의 백성을 틀림없이 돌보실 것입니다(마6:26-30). 우리의 안위에 대한 걱정으로 초조해질 때, 우리는 새들을 보며 하나님께서 우리를 소중히 여기시고 돌보아주실 것임을 확신할 수 있습니다.

For His eye is on the sparrow,

We need not fear the perils around us
because the eye of the Lord is always upon us.

Matthew 6:25-34

[25] "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?
[26] Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
[27] Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
[28] "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.
[29] Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.
[30] If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
[31] So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'
[32] For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
[33] But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
[34]Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

하나님의 눈이 참새도 지켜보시니
그 하나님이 나를 지켜보심을 아네

여호와의 눈이 우리를 항상 지키시므로
우리 주위의 위험을 두려워할 필요가 없다.

마태복음 6:25-34

[25] 그러므로 내가 너희에게 이르노니 목숨을 위하여 무엇을 먹을까 무엇을 마실까 몸을 위하여 무엇을 입을까 염려하지 말라 목숨이 음식보다 중하지 아니하며 몸이 의복보다 중하지 아니하냐
[26] 공중의 새를 보라 심지도 않고 거두지도 않고 창고에 모아 들이지도 아니하되 너희 천부께서 기르시나니 너희는 이것들보다 귀하지 아니하냐
[27] 너희 중에 누가 염려함으로 그 키를 한 자나 더할 수 있느냐
[28] 또 너희가 어찌 의복을 위하여 염려하느냐 들의 백합화가 어떻게 자라는가 생각하여 보아라 수고도 아니하고 길쌈도 아니하느니라
[29] 그러나 내가 너희에게 말하노니 솔로몬의 모든 영광으로도 입은 것이 이 꽃 하나만 같지 못하였느니라
[30] 오늘 있다가 내일 아궁이에 던지우는 들풀도 하나님이 이렇게 입히시거든 하물며 너희일까보냐 믿음이 적은 자들아
[31] 그러므로 염려하여 이르기를 무엇을 먹을까 무엇을 마실까 무엇을 입을까 하지 말라
[32] 이는 다 이방인들이 구하는 것이라 너희 천부께서 이 모든 것이 너희에게 있어야 할 줄을 아시느니라
[33] 너희는 먼저 그의 나라와 그의 의를 구하라 그리하면 이 모든 것을 너희에게 더하시리라
[34] 그러므로 내일 일을 위하여 염려하지 말라 내일 일은 내일 염려할 것이요 한 날 괴로움은 그 날에 족하니라
