Be A Star		스타가 되라
[ Matthew 2:1 - 2:12 ] - hymn 263 Those who turn many to righteousness [shall shine] like the stars forever and ever. - Daniel 12:3 today seek stardom by trying to get into the media spotlight. But a young Jewish captive achieved "stardom" in a better way. When Daniel and his friends were taken captive by a ruthless invading nation, it was unlikely that they would be heard from again. But the godly young men soon distinguished themselves as intelligent and trustworthy. When the king had a dream that his wise men could not repeat nor interpret, he condemned them to death. After a night of prayer with his friends, Daniel received from God the content of the dream and its interpretation. As a result, the king promoted Daniel to be his chief advisor(see Dan.2). If the story ended there, it would be remarkable enough. But some scholars believe that Daniel's influence in Babylon made people aware of messianic prophecies about a Savior who would be born in Bethlehem. Daniel's teaching may have been the reason that 500 years later wise men from the East followed a star to a remote and unfamiliar part of the world to find an infant King, worship Him, and return to their country with the good news of God's incredible journey to earth(Matt.2:1-12). By turning others to righteousness, we, like Daniel, can become a star that will shine forever. -J ulie Ackerman Link		[ 마태복음 2:1 - 2:12 ] - 찬송가 263 장 많은 사람을 옳은 데로 돌아오게 한 자는 별과 같이 영원토록 비취리라 - 다니엘12:3 오늘날 많은 사람들이 미디어의 관심을 받기 위해 노력하며 스타가 되려고 합니다. 그러나 포로가 된 유대의 한 젊은이는 더 나은 방법으로 "스타"가 되었습니다. 다니엘과 그의 친구들은 무자비한 침략 국가에 포로로 끌려갔을 때 다시는 그들의 소식을 들을 수 없을 것만 같았습니다. 그러나 이 신실한 젊은이들은 곧 지혜와 신뢰를 갖춘 사람들로 알려지기 시작했습니다. 왕이 꿈을 꾸었는데 그의 박사들이 그 꿈의 내용을 알지도 못하고 또 해석도 못하자 왕은 그들을 죽이라 명했습니다. 다니엘은 친구들과 하룻밤을 기도한 후 하나님으로부터 꿈의 내용과 그에 대한 해석을 받았습니다. 그 결과 왕은 다니엘을 모든 박사의 우두 머리로 승진시켰습니다(단 2장). 이야기가 거기서 끝나기만 해도 그것은 매우 놀라운 일입니다. 그러나 어떤 신학자들은 다니엘이 바벨론에 끼친 영향으로 인해 사람들이 베들레헴에서 구주가 태어날 것이라는 메시아에 관한 예언을 알게 되었다고 믿고 있습니다. 다니엘의 가르침은 5백년 후에 동방박사들이 아주 머나먼, 알지 못하는 지역까지 별을 따라가서 아기 왕을 찾아 경배하고, 하나님이 기적과 같이 이 땅에 오셨다는 복음의 소식을 갖고 그들의 나라로 돌아간 이유가 되었는지 모릅니다(마 2:1-12). 우리도 다니엘처럼 다른 사람들을 의로움으로 돌아오게 하여 영원히 빛나는 스타가 될 수 있습니다.

You can attract people to Jesus when you have His light in your life.

Matthew 2:1-12

[1] After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem
[2] and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him."
[3] When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him.
[4] When he had called together all the people's chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Christ was to be born.
[5] "In Bethlehem in Judea," they replied, "for this is what the prophet has written:
[6] "'But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel.'"
[7] Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared.
[8] He sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and make a careful search for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him."
[9] After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was.
[10] When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.
[11] On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh.
[12] And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.

나를 축복되게 하소서 나를 축복되게 하소서
내 삶 속에 예수님이 빛나게 하소서
주여 기도하오니 나를 축복되게 하소서
오늘 누군가에게 내가 축복이 되게 하소서

삶에 예수님의 빛을 담고 있으면
사람들을 예수님께로 이끌 수 있다.

마태복음 2:1-12

[1] 헤롯 왕 때에 예수께서 유대 베들레헴에서 나시매 동방으로부터 박사들이 예루살렘에 이르러 말하되
[2] 유대인의 왕으로 나신 이가 어디 계시뇨 우리가 동방에서 그의 별을 보고 그에게 경배하러 왔노라 하니
[3] 헤롯 왕과 온 예루살렘이 듣고 소동한지라
[4] 왕이 모든 대제사장과 백성의 서기관들을 모아 그리스도가 어디서 나겠느뇨 물으니
[5] 가로되 유대 베들레헴이오니 이는 선지자로 이렇게 기록된 바
[6] 또 유대 땅 베들레헴아 너는 유대 고을 중에 가장 작지 아니하도다 네게서 한 다스리는 자가 나와서 내 백성 이스라엘의 목자가 되리라 하였음이니이다
[7] 이에 헤롯이 가만히 박사들을 불러 별이 나타난 때를 자세히 묻고
[8] 베들레헴으로 보내며 이르되 가서 아기에 대하여 자세히 알아보고 찾거든 내게 고하여 나도 가서 그에게 경배하게 하라
[9] 박사들이 왕의 말을 듣고 갈새 동방에서 보던 그 별이 문득 앞서 인도하여 가다가 아기 있는 곳 위에 머물러 섰는지라
[10] 저희가 별을 보고 가장 크게 기뻐하고 기뻐하더라
[11] 집에 들어가 아기와 그 모친 마리아의 함께 있는 것을 보고 엎드려 아기께 경배하고 보배합을 열어 황금과 유향과 몰약을 예물로 드리니라
[12] 꿈에 헤롯에게로 돌아가지 말라 지시하심을 받아 다른 길로 고국에 돌아가니라
