Limited But Useful		한계는 있으나 유용함
[ Matthew 25:24 - 25:28 ] - hymn 217 I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. - 1 Corinthians 2:3 Suzanne Bloch, an immigrant from Germany, often played chamber music with Albert Einstein and other prominent scientists. She said that Einstein, though an accomplished violinist, irritated his fellow musicians by not coming in on the beat. "You see," Bloch explained, "he couldn't count." Einstein could project revolutionary theories about the cosmos, but he had difficulty with rhythmic counting. Despite his limitation, he remained an enthusiastic musician. Do we sometimes lament our limitations? We all have abilities, but we are also afflicted with inabilities. We may be tempted to use our limitations as an excuse for not doing the things God has enabled us to do. Just because we may not be gifted to speak in public or to sing in a choir doesn't mean that we can sit on the spiritual sidelines doing nothing. When we realize that all of us have limitations, we can move forward by seeking God's guidance in using our gifts. Surely we can pray. Surely we can show kindness to others. We can visit the lonely, the sick, the elderly. We can tell with effective simplicity what Jesus means to us. Paul said, "Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them"(Rom.12:6). - Vernon C Grounds		[ 마태복음 25:24 - 25:28 ] - 찬송가 217 장 내가 너희 가운데 거할 때에 약하며 두려워하며 심히 떨었노라 - 고린도전서 2:3 수잔 블록은 독일계 이민자로 알버트 아인슈타인을 포함한 여러 탁월한 과학자들과 함께 실내음악을 자주 연주했었습니다. 그녀는 아인슈타인이 숙달된 바이올린 연주자였지만 박자를 놓치곤 해 다른 연주자들을 짜증나게 했다고 말합니다. "그래요, 그는 박자감각이 둔했어요."라고 블록은 설명했습니다. 아인슈타인은 우주에 관한 혁신적인 학설을 제창할 수는 있었으나 리듬은 제대로 맞추지 못했습니다. 그러나 이런 그의 한계에도 불구하고 그는 열정적인 음악인으로 살았습니다. 가끔 자신의 한계를 한탄하십니까? 우리 모두는 능력이 있으나, 동시에 무능함 때문에 괴로움을 당하기도 합니다. 우리는 하나님이 우리로 하여금 할 수 있도록 능력을 주신 일들을 하지 않으면서 우리의 한계 때문에 못한다고 변명하려는 유혹에 쉽게 빠집니다. 단지 많은 사람 앞에서 말할 재주가 없다거나 성가대에서 찬양할 재능이 없다는 이유로 영적 방관자로서 아무것도 하지 않고 주저앉아 있어서는 안 됩니다. 누구에게나 한계가 있다는 것을 깨닫게 될 때, 우리는 하나님의 인도하심을 간구함으로써 우리의 재능을 사용하는 방향으로 전진해 나갈 수 있습니다. 우리는 기도할 수 있고, 다른 사람들에게 친절을 베풀 수 있습니다. 외로운 사람들이나 환자나 노인들을 방문할 수 있습니다. 간단명료하게 예수님이 우리에게 어떤 분인지 말할 수도 있습니다. 바울은 "우리에게 주신 은혜대로 받은 은사가 각각 다르니" 다른 대로 그 은사들을 사용하라고 말했습니다(롬12:6).

Lord God, I humbly ask of You
The strength to do Your will;
I give to You my talents now
Your purpose to fulfill. - Cetas

Too many people make a mistake by burying their talents.

Matthew 25:24-28

[24] "Then the man who had received the one talent came. 'Master,' he said, 'I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed.
[25] So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.'
[26] "His master replied, 'You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed?
[27] Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.
[28] "'Take the talent from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents.

주 하나님, 당신의 뜻을 행하도록
힘주시기를 겸손히 간구하오며
지금 나의 재능을 드리오니
당신의 목적을 이루어주소서

너무 많은 사람들이 자신의 재능을 그냥 묻어두는 실수를 범한다.

마태복음 25:24-28

[24] 한 달란트 받았던 자도 와서 가로되 주여 당신은 굳은 사람이라 심지 않은 데서 거두고 헤치지 않은 데서 모으는 줄을 내가 알았으므로
[25] 두려워하여 나가서 당신의 달란트를 땅에 감추어 두었나이다 보소서 당신의 것을 받으셨나이다
[26] 그 주인이 대답하여 가로되 악하고 게으른 종아 나는 심지 않은 데서 거두고 헤치지 않은 데서 모으는 줄로 네가 알았느냐
[27] 그러면 네가 마땅히 내 돈을 취리하는 자들에게나 두었다가 나로 돌아와서 내 본전과 변리를 받게 할 것이니라 하고
[28] 그에게서 그 한 달란트를 빼앗아 열 달란트를 가진 자에게 주어라
