The Power Of Influence		영향력
[ Matthew 5:1 - 5:16 ] - hymn 347 You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? - Matthew5:13 On February 9, 1964, the Beatles appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show and captivated the youth of America. After hearing their music and seeing their "look," I did what millions of young American boys did-I begged my parents to let me grow my hair. Then, along with my best friend Tommy, I started a garage band. The Beatles' performance had such an impact on us that we intentionally tried to be like them. It was a significant introduction to the power of influence. Years later, the power of influence came to mean something far more significant to me as I began my journey as a follower of Christ. I had the desire to live under the influence of Christ, but I also wanted to be an influencer of others by pointing them to the Savior. In part, this is what Jesus was challenging us to understand in Matthew 5:13-16. Salt and light are influential factors in a dark and corrupting world, and Christ, who is the Light of the world, calls us to be lights of influence as well. The Master who modeled perfect purity calls us to be salt that adds flavor and prevents corruption. May we not only be influenced by Christ but also be influencers for Christ in a needy world. - Bill Crowder		[ 마태복음 5:1 - 5:16 ] - 찬송가 347 장 너희는 세상의 소금이니 소금이 만일 그 맛을 잃으면 무엇으로 짜게 하리요 - 마태복음 5:13 1964년 2월 9일 비틀즈가 에드 설리번 쇼에 출연해 미국의 젊은이들을 사로잡았습니다. 그들의 음악을 듣고 "모습"을 본 뒤, 나도 미국의 수백만 다른 젊은이들과 마찬가지로 머리를 장발로 기를 수 있게 허락해 달라고 부모님께 졸랐습니다. 그런 다음, 제일 친한 친구인 타미와 함께 아마추어 밴드를 결성했습니다. 비틀즈의 공연은 우리에게 너무나 커다란 영향을 끼쳤고, 우리는 그들처럼 되려고 의식적으로 노력했습니다. 그것이 영향력이라는 것을 실감한 첫 번째 경험이었습니다. 여러 해 후 내가 예수님의 제자로서의 삶을 시작하게 되었을 때 영향력이라는 것은 내게 훨씬 더 중요한 의미를 갖게 되었습니다. 나는 예수님의 영향력 하에 살아가길 원했지만, 또 한편으로는 다른 사람들을 예수님에게 인도함으로써 그들에게 영향을 끼치길 원했습니다. 어떤 면에서 예수님은 마태복음5:13-16 말씀에서 이와 같이 우리에게 도전하고 계십니다. 소금과 빛은 어둡고 부패한 세상에 긍정적인 영향을 끼치는 요소들입니다. 세상의 빛이신 예수님은 우리도 세상에 긍정적인 영향을 끼치는 빛이 되라고 요구하십니다. 또한 완벽한 순결의 모범을 보여주신 주님은 우리가 세상의 소금이 되어 맛을 내고 부패를 방지하라고 요구하십니다. 우리는 주님으로부터 영향을 받는 동시에 주님을 위하여 우리를 필요로 하는 세상에 영향을 끼치는 사람이 되어야 합니다.

As the "salt of the earth," Christians will make others thirsty for the "Water of Life."

Matthew 5:1-16

[1] Now when he saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him,
[2] and he began to teach them, saying:
[3] "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
[4] Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
[5] Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
[6] Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
[7] Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
[8] Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
[9] Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
[10] Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
[11] "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
[12] Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
[13] "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.
[14] "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.
[15] Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
[16] In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

주여, 제가 밝게 비추는 빛이 되어
저의 모든 말과 행동에서
당신의 위대한 사랑을 나타내고
누군가를 당신께 인도하게 하소서

그리스도인들은‘세상의 소금’이 되어 다른 사람들로 하여금‘생수’를 갈망하게 만들어야 한다.

마태복음 5:1-16

[1] 예수께서 무리를 보시고 산에 올라가 앉으시니 제자들이 나아온지라
[2] 입을 열어 가르쳐 가라사대
[3] 심령이 가난한 자는 복이 있나니 천국이 저희 것임이요
[4] 애통하는 자는 복이 있나니 저희가 위로를 받을 것임이요
[5] 온유한 자는 복이 있나니 저희가 땅을 기업으로 받을 것임이요
[6] 의에 주리고 목마른 자는 복이 있나니 저희가 배부를 것임이요
[7] 긍휼히 여기는 자는 복이 있나니 저희가 긍휼히 여김을 받을 것임이요
[8] 마음이 청결한 자는 복이 있나니 저희가 하나님을 볼 것임이요
[9] 화평케 하는 자는 복이 있나니 저희가 하나님의 아들이라 일컬음을 받을 것임이요
[10] 의를 위하여 핍박을 받은 자는 복이 있나니 천국이 저희 것임이라
[11] 나를 인하여 너희를 욕하고 핍박하고 거짓으로 너희를 거스려 모든 악한 말을 할 때에는 너희에게 복이 있나니
[12] 기뻐하고 즐거워하라 하늘에서 너희의 상이 큼이라 너희 전에 있던 선지자들을 이같이 핍박하였느니라
[13] 너희는 세상의 소금이니 소금이 만일 그 맛을 잃으면 무엇으로 짜게 하리요 후에는 아무 쓸데 없어 다만 밖에 버리워 사람에게 밟힐 뿐이니라
[14] 너희는 세상의 빛이라 산 위에 있는 동네가 숨기우지 못할 것이요
[15] 사람이 등불을 켜서 말 아래 두지 아니하고 등경 위에 두나니 이러므로 집안 모든 사람에게 비취느니라
[16] 이같이 너희 빛을 사람 앞에 비취게 하여 저희로 너희 착한 행실을 보고 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 하라
