You And Your Possessions		당신과 당신의 재물
[ Matthew 19:16 - 19:26 ] - hymn 539 It is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. - Matthew 19:23 Six armed gunmen broke into the deposit boxes in a London bank and stole valuables worth more than $7 million. One woman, whose jewelry was appraised at $500,000, wailed, "Everything I had was in there. My whole life was in that box." Some people have taken foolish risks to cling to their riches. They have died rushing into burning houses or were killed because they stubbornly resisted armed robbers. Apparently they felt that without their material possessions life would not be worthwhile. Others, when they lose their wealth, slip into despair, even to the point of suicide. The greatest danger in becoming too closely identified with our possessions lies in the spiritual area of life. An unhealthy attachment to material things can keep an unsaved person from turning to Christ and prevent a believer from living for Him. The story of the rich young ruler forcefully illustrates this truth. Jesus' words "You cannot serve God and [money]"(Matt.6:24) certainly apply to us all. Keep a wide gulf between yourself and your possessions. It will spare you many heartaches. If you are not a believer in Christ, don't make the mistake of the rich young ruler. It will cost you your soul. - Herbert Vander Lugt		[ 마태복음 19:16 - 19:26 ] - 찬송가 539 장 부자는 천국에 들어가기가 어려우니라 - 마태복음 19:23 여섯 명의 무장 강도가 런던에 있는 한 은행의 보관함에 침입하여 700만 달러어치 이상의 귀중품을 훔쳤습니다. 감정 가격이 50만 달러나 되는 보석을 그곳에 보관했던 한 여자는 "내 모든 것이 그곳에 있었는데, 내 인생 전부가 그 보관함 속에 있었는데."라고 말하면서 통곡하였습니다. 어떤 사람들은 어리석게도 재물에 집착하여 위험을 무릅쓰기도 했습니다. 불타는 집 속으로 뛰어들어 죽거나, 무장 강도에게 완강히 저항하다가 살해된 사람들도 있습니다. 그들은 물질적인 재산 없이는 인생을 살만한 가치가 없다고 느꼈던 것 같습니다. 또 어떤 사람들은 재산을 잃고 나서 심지어 자살을 시도할 만큼 절망에 빠져들기도 합니다. 우리가 재물과 너무 밀접히 연관될 때, 우리의 인생에서 가장 큰 위험에 처하게 되는 것은 영적인 영역입니다. 물질에 대한 건전하지 못한 애착은 구원을 받지 못한 사람이 그리스도께로 향하는 것을 방해하고, 믿는 사람이 주님을 위해 사는 것을 막을 수 있습니다. 젊은 부자 관원의 이야기(눅18:18-23)가 이 진실을 설득력 있게 보여줍니다. 예수님의 "너희가 하나님과 재물을 겸하여 섬기지 못하느니라"(마6:24)라는 말씀은 분명히 우리 모두에게 적용됩니다. 당신과 재물 사이에 넓은 간격을 유지하십시오. 그것은 많은 번민으로부터 당신을 구하여줄 것입니다. 만일 당신이 그리스도를 믿지 않는 사람이라면 젊은 부자 관원의 실수를 저지르지 마십시오. 당신의 영혼으로 그 값을 치러야 할 수도 있습니다.

Matthew 19:16-26

[16] Now a man came up to Jesus and asked, "Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?"
[17] "Why do you ask me about what is good?" Jesus replied. "There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the commandments."
[18] "Which ones?" the man inquired. Jesus replied, "'Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony,
[19] honor your father and mother,' and 'love your neighbor as yourself.'"
[20] "All these I have kept," the young man said. "What do I still lack?"
[21] Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."
[22] When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth.
[23] Then Jesus said to his disciples, "I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
[24] Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
[25] When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, "Who then can be saved?"
[26] Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

이 세상의 재물은 헛된 것이니
하루면 사라져 버린다네
그러나 하나님 사랑의 보화는 향기로워
결코 소멸되지 않는다네

하나님 안에 풍요함이 물질의 풍요함보다 훨씬 낫다.

마태복음 19:16-26

[16] 어떤 사람이 주께 와서 가로되 선생님이여 내가 무슨 선한 일을 하여야 영생을 얻으리이까
[17] 예수께서 가라사대 어찌하여 선한 일을 내게 묻느냐 선한 이는 오직 한 분이시니라 네가 생명에 들어가려면 계명들을 지키라
[18] 가로되 어느 계명이오니이까 예수께서 가라사대 살인하지말라, 간음하지말라, 도적질하지 말라, 거짓 증거하지말라,
[19] 네 부모를 공경하라, 네 이웃을 네 몸과 같이 사랑하라 하신 것이니라
[20] 그 청년이 가로되 이 모든 것을 내가 지키었사오니 아직도 무엇이 부족하니이까
[21] 예수께서 가라사대 네가 온전하고자 할진대 가서 네 소유를 팔아 가난한 자들을 주라 그리하면 하늘에서 보화가 네게 있으리라 그리고 와서 나를 좇으라 하시니
[22] 그 청년이 재물이 많으므로 이 말씀을 듣고 근심하며 가니라
[23] 예수께서 제자들에게 이르시되 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 부자는 천국에 들어가기가 어려우니라
[24] 다시 너희에게 말하노니 약대가 바늘귀로 들어가는 것이 부자가 하나님의 나라에 들어가는 것보다 쉬우니라 하신대
[25] 제자들이 듣고 심히 놀라 가로되 그런즉 누가 구원을 얻을 수 있으리이까
[26] 예수께서 저희를 보시며 가라사대 사람으로는 할 수 없으되 하나님으로서는 다 할 수 있느니라
