A Fitting Present		합당한 선물
[ Matthew 2:11 - 2:15 ] - hymn 351 Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God. - Romans 12:1 A little boy was somewhat perplexed by all the exchanging of presents on Christmas morning, for he had been taught in Sunday school that it was the birthday of the Savior. Finally, after a long period of silence, he asked, "Mommy, when are we going to give Jesus His present? I thought it was His birthday!" Strange, isn't it, that most of us give gifts to everyone but the One whose birthday we celebrate. A good question we might ask ourselves is this: What am I going to give to the Lord Jesus this Christmas? If you have never trusted in Him as your Savior, the thing He desires most from you is a believing heart. Why not put your faith in Jesus' sacrificial death on the cross so you can be saved from your sins? If by faith you already know Christ as your Savior, then the most wonderful thing you can do this Christmas is to present to God the one gift He most desires to receive from you?your body(Rom.12:1). Our bodies are to be used for God's purposes. Because we have accepted the gift of salvation from Him, it's only reasonable that we should present ourselves to the Father. When we give ourselves, we give the one Christmas present that truly fits the occasion! - Richard De Haan		[ 마태복음 2:11 - 2:15 ] - 찬송가 351 장 너희 몸을 하나님이 기뻐하시는 거룩한 산 제사로 드리라 - 로마서 12:1 한 어린 소년이 크리스마스 아침에 모두들 선물을 주고받는 것을 보고는 다소 혼란스러워졌습니다. 왜냐하면 그 소년은 주일학교에서 크리스마스는 구주 예수님의 생일이라고 배웠기 때문입니다. 한참을 잠잠히 있더니 마침내 "엄마, 언제 예수님께 선물을 드릴 거예요? 크리스마스는 예수님 생일이잖아요!"라고 물었습니다. 이상하지 않습니까! 우리는 생일축하를 하는 대상만 빼놓고 다른 모든 사람들에게 선물을 줍니다. 우리는 '이번 크리스마스에 주 예수님께 무엇을 드릴까?'라는 바람직한 질문을 우리 스스로에게 물어보아야 합니다. 만일 당신이 주님을 구주로서 믿은 적이 없다면, 주님이 당신에게서 가장 원하는 것은 믿는 마음일 것입니다. 당신을 죄로부터 구원하기 위해 십자가 위에 달리신 예수님의 대속의 죽음을 믿어 보시지 않겠습니까? 만일 당신이 믿음으로 이미 그리스도를 구주로 알고 있다면, 이번 크리스마스에 당신이 할 수 있는 최고의 일은 하나님이 당신으로부터 가장 받기 원하시는 당신의 몸을 하나님께 드리는 것입니다(롬12:1). 우리의 몸은 하나님의 목적을 위해 사용되어야 합니다. 우리는 하나님으로부터 구원의 선물을 받았기 때문에, 우리가 아버지에게 우리 자신을 드리는 것은 합당한 일입니다. 우리 자신을 드릴 때, 우리는 진정 크리스마스에 합당한 선물을 드리는 것입니다!

Matthew 2:11-15

[11] On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh.
[12] And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.
[13] When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. "Get up," he said, "take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him."
[14] So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt,
[15] where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: "Out of Egypt I called my son."

나를 위해 자신을 내어주신 주님께
크리스마스에 무엇을 드릴까?
나의 삶, 나의 사랑을
지금부터 영원까지 주님께 드리리

그리스도에게 당신의 모든 것을 드려라.
주님은 당신을 위해 주님의 모든 것을 주셨다.

마태복음 2:11-15

[11] 집에 들어가 아기와 그 모친 마리아의 함께 있는 것을 보고 엎드려 아기께 경배하고 보배합을 열어 황금과 유향과 몰약을 예물로 드리니라
[12] 꿈에 헤롯에게로 돌아가지 말라 지시하심을 받아 다른 길로 고국에 돌아가니라
[13] 저희가 떠난 후에 주의 사자가 요셉에게 현몽하여 가로되 헤롯이 아기를 찾아 죽이려 하니 일어나 아기와 그의 모친을 데리고 애굽으로 피하여 내가 네게 이르기까지 거기 있으라 하시니
[14] 요셉이 일어나서 밤에 아기와 그의 모친을 데리고 애굽으로 떠나가
[15] 헤롯이 죽기까지 거기 있었으니 이는 주께서 선지자로 말씀하신 바 애굽에서 내 아들을 불렀다 함을 이루려 하심이니라
