Dirty Jobs		더러운 일들
[ Matthew 8:1 - 8:4 ] - hymn 368 Jesus put out His hand and touched him. - Matthew 8:3 One TV personality seeks out the most dirty and grimy jobs he can find. Then he does those jobs on camera so we can all be grossed out. The surprising thing that usually comes out of this excursion into grime is that the people who do these really nasty chores for a living seem happy to be doing them. I wonder if that's the way it is among the people of God. In the church and in the community of God's people, there are definitely "dirty" jobs that God has called us to do. For instance, where is the glamour in working in a homeless shelter, providing gospel hope and physical help to street people? Where is the intrinsic joy in walking into a hospital room to visit a patient who has just received awful news from the doctor? And how can it be easy to sit across the counseling room from an abused spouse and try to help her retain her dignity and piece her life back together? Imagine how the crowds gasped when Jesus reached out and touched the leper. He was not afraid of "dirty" jobs. Jesus came "to seek and to save that which was lost"(Luke19:10). He was "moved with compassion" for the lame, the ill, the downtrodden(Matt.9:36). Let's follow His lead and with love tackle the tough tasks around us. - Dave Branon		[ 마태복음 8:1 - 8:4 ] - 찬송가 368 장 예수께서 손을 내밀어 저에게 대시며 - 마태복음 8:3 텔레비전에서 저명인사 한 사람이 가장 더럽고 지저분한 일을 찾아 나섭니다. 그러고 나서 그는 우리 모두가 역겨워하도록 카메라 앞에서 그 일을 직접 합니다. 이런 더러운 일에 관한 탐방에서 흔히 놀라게 되는 것은 정말 더러운 이런 잡일을 직업으로 갖고 있는 사람들은 기쁨으로 그 일을 한다는 사실입니다. 나는 하나님의 백성들도 이와 같이 행하는지 궁금합니다. 교회와 하나님의 백성들의 공동체 안에는 하나님이 우리에게 하라고 하시는 확실하게 "더러운" 일들이 있습니다. 예를 들어 노숙자 보호소에서 일하는 것과 길거리의 사람들에게 복음의 소망과 도움을 제공하는 것 어디에 우리의 마음을 끌만한 것이 있습니까? 의사로부터 두려운 통지를 방금 받은 환자를 만나러 병실에 들어서는 것 어디에 내적 기쁨이 있습니까? 그리고 남편으로부터 학대 받은 사람과 상담실에 마주 앉아서 그녀의 존엄성을 되찾고 삶을 되돌리도록 돕는 것이 어떻게 쉬운 일일 수 있습니까? 예수님이 손을 내밀어 문둥병자를 만지셨을 때 군중들이 얼마나 놀라 숨이 막혔을지 상상해보십시오. 주님은 "더러운" 일들을 마다하지 않으셨습니다. 예수님은 "잃어버린 자를 찾아 구원하러"(눅19:10) 오셨습니다. 주님은 저는 자들과 병든 자들과 억압된 자들을 보시고 "민망히 여기셨습니다" (마9:36). 우리도 주님의 인도를 따르면서 주위의 거친 일들을 사랑의 마음으로 해나갑시다.

Work well done for Christ will receive a "well done" from Christ.

Matthew 8:1-4

[1] When he came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him.
[2] A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, "Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean."
[3] Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!" Immediately he was cured of his leprosy.
[4] Then Jesus said to him, "See that you don't tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."

생계를 위한 일상들이
무엇이 되었건 나는 알 수 있다네
나의 직업, 내가 가진 진정한 직분은
다른 이들을 주님께로 이끌어 오는 것이라는 것을

그리스도를 위해 잘 한 일은 그리스도로부터 "잘 했다"고 인정받게 된다.

마태복음 8:1-4

[1] 예수께서 산에서 내려오시니 허다한 무리가 좇으니라
[2] 한 문둥병자가 나아와 절하고 가로되 주여 원하시면 저를 깨끗케 하실 수 있나이다 하거늘
[3] 예수께서 손을 내밀어 저에게 대시며 가라사대 내가 원하노니 깨끗함을 받으라 하신대 즉시 그의 문둥병이 깨끗하여진지라
[4] 예수께서 이르시되 삼가 아무에게도 이르지 말고 다만 가서 제사장에게 네 몸을 보이고 모세의 명한 예물을 드려 저희에게 증거하라 하시니라
