Storm Before The Calm		고요함 전의 폭풍
[ Matthew 6:9 - 6:15 ] - hymn 518 If you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. -Matthew 6:14 The small church was struggling, and everyone knew why. Two elderly church members had a conflict, and the people had divided their loyalties between them, which made any kind of progress impossible. They blatantly disregarded Jesus' instructions on forgiving others (Matthew 6:14). A new pastor came to the church and spent several weeks teaching about forgiveness and trust. For a while, the people stuck to their divided loyalties and continued to slog along in their stagnant pool of distrust. After much prayer, the pastor felt directed by the Lord to take action. So during a morning service, he called on the two men to stand and then asked them to forgive each other. He knew that if the church were ever to have peace again, a storm of confrontation had to occur. The men faced off, paused, and then embraced. Tears ran down their faces as each begged the other for forgiveness. Forty-five minutes later, the crying and hugging and forgiving throughout the congregation finally stopped. The church was revitalized to serve together as a loving community for the glory of God. Forgiveness is a powerful thing, bringing a comforting calmness. With it, we can enjoy harmony with God's people; without it, the storm continues. -Dave Branon		[ 마태복음 6:9 - 6:15 ] - 찬송가 518 장 너희가 사람의 과실을 용서하면 너의 천부께서도 너희 과실을 용서하시려니와 －마태복음 6:14 한 작은 교회가 어려움을 겪고 있었는데, 모두가 그 이유를 알고 있었습니다. 두 명의 원로 성도 간에 의견충돌이 있었는데, 성도들도 양편으로 갈라졌고 그것이 어떠한 진전도 불가능하게 만들었습니다. 그들은 남을 용서하라는 예수님의 말씀 (마 6:14)을 헌신짝처럼 버렸습니다. 새로 오신 목사님이 몇 주간에 걸쳐 용서와 믿음에 대해 가르쳤음에도 불구하고 그들은 여전히 양편으로 갈라져 구태의연한 불신감에 빠져 계속 악착같이 싸웠습니다. 많은 기도 끝에 목사님은 하나님이 지시하신 것을 실천에 옮기기로 작정했습니다. 아침 예배 시간에 그 두 사람을 강단에 불러 세우고 서로 용서할 것을 종용했습니다. 교회가 평온해지기 위해서는 한바탕의 대결국면을 거쳐야 한다는 것을 목사님은 알고 있었습니다. 그 두 사람은 서로 마주보고 잠시 머뭇거리다가 서로 껴안았습니다. 서로에게 용서를 빌며 눈물이 그들의 뺨에 흘러내렸습니다. 온 성도들이 울고 서로 부둥켜안고 용서를 비는 것이 45분 동안이나 계속되었습니다. 그리하여 이 교회는 하나님의 영광을 위하여 사랑이 넘치는 공동체로서 다 함께 섬기는 교회로 다시 소생하였습니다. 용서는 굉장한 힘이 있으며, 마음을 위로하는 평안함을 가져다줍니다. 용서함으로써 우리는 하나님의 자녀들과 화합하는 즐거움을 만끽할 수 있습니다. 용서하지 못하면 폭풍은 계속됩니다.

Forgiveness is Christianity in action

Matthew 6:9-15

[9] "This, then, is how you should pray: "'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
[10] your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
[11] Give us today our daily bread.
[12] Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
[13] And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.'
[14] For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
[15] But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

우리가 용서하지 못하면
기쁨과 평안은 사라지고
하나님과의 교제가 깨어지며
마음은 돌 같이 굳어지고 차가와지네

용서는 실천하는 기독교 신앙의 모습이다.

마태복음 6:9-15

[9] 그러므로 너희는 이렇게 기도하라 하늘에 계신 우리 아버지여 이름이 거룩히 여김을 받으시오며
[10] 나라이 임하옵시며 뜻이 하늘에서 이룬 것 같이 땅에서도 이루어지이다
[11] 오늘날 우리에게 일용할 양식을 주옵시고
[12] 우리가 우리에게 죄 지은 자를 사하여 준 것 같이 우리 죄를 사하여 주옵시고
[13] 우리를 시험에 들게 하지 마옵시고 다만 악에서 구하옵소서 (나라와 권세와 영광이 아버지께 영원히 있사옵나이다 아멘)
[14] 너희가 사람의 과실을 용서하면 너희 천부께서도 너희 과실을 용서하시려니와
[15] 너희가 사람의 과실을 용서하지 아니하면 너희 아버지께서도 너희 과실을 용서하지 아니하시리라
