When To Judge		판단해야만 하는 때
[ Matthew 7:1 - 7:12 ] - hymn 350 God will bring every work into judgment ... whether good or evil. - Ecclesiastes 12:14 Many people believe that Christians are told never to judge others. As "proof," they quote Jesus' words in Matthew 7: "Judge not, that you be not judged"(v.1). But a closer look at what Jesus said shows that there are times when we must make judgments. In verses 1 to 5, Jesus warned us how easy it is to be blind to our own faults while we pick at the faults of others. In verse 6, however, He showed us the necessity of judging. He told us, "Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces." To follow Jesus' teaching, we must learn the difference between judging people and evaluating situations. But who among us is wise enough to consider any situation without condemning or judging the persons involved- That is why, in verses 7 to 11, we are told to earnestly ask, seek, and implore help from our heavenly Father. "Your Father who is in heaven [will] give good things to those who ask Him"(v.11). Whenever we must make judgments, we must prayerfully bear in mind that our God is the one who "will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil"(Ecclesiastes 12:14). - Albert Lee		[ 마태복음 7:1 - 7:12 ] - 찬송가 350 장 하나님은 모든 행위와 모든 은밀한 일을 선악간에 심판하시리라 - 전도서 12:14 많은 사람들이 그리스도인은 절대로 다른 사람을 비판해서는 안 되는 것으로 믿고 있습니다. 그 "증거"로 마태복음 7장에 "비판을 받지 아니하려거든 비판하지 말라"(1절)는 예수님의 말씀을 인용합니다. 그러나 예수님이 하신 말씀을 자세히 관찰해보면 때로는 우리가 판단해야만 하는 때가 있다는 것을 알 수 있습니다. 1절부터 5절 말씀에서 예수님은 우리가 얼마나 쉽게 남의 결점을 들추어내면서 자신의 결점은 보지 못하는지 경고하셨습니다. 그러나 6절에서는 판단의 필요성을 알려 주셨습니다. 예수님께서는 "거룩한 것을 개에게 주지 말며 너희 진주를 돼지 앞에 던지지 말라 저희가 그것을 발로 밟고 돌이켜 너희를 찢어 상할까 염려하라"고 말씀하셨습니다. 우리가 예수님의 가르침대로 행하려면 다른 사람을 비판하는 것과 상황을 평가하는 것의 차이점을 알아야 합니다. 그렇지만 그 상황과 관련된 사람을 정죄하고 비판하지 않으면서 상황을 판단할 수 있을 만큼 충분히 지혜로운 사람이 우리 가운데 있습니까? 그렇기 때문에 7절부터 11절까지의 말씀과 같이 하늘에 계신 아버지께 진지하게 물어보고, 도와주실 것을 구하며, 간청하라고 한 것입니다. "하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께서 구하는 자에게 좋은 것으로 주실"(11절) 것입니다. 판단을 꼭 해야 될 경우, 우리는 우리의 하나님이 "모든 행위와 모든 은밀한 일을 선악 간에 심판하시는"(전12:14) 바로 그 분이라는 사실을 신앙심 깊게 마음에 새겨야만 할 것입니다.

A situation to discern,
Don't shy away when duty calls,
But to God's Word for wisdom turn. - Hess

The righteous Judge gives discernment to those who ask Him.

Matthew 7:1-12

[1] "Judge not, that you be not judged.
[2] "For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.
[3] "And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?
[4] "Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me remove the speck from your eye'; and look, a plank is in your own eye?
[5] "Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.
[6] "Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.
[7] "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
[8] "For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
[9] "Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?
[10] "Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent?
[11] "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
[12] "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

어떠한 상황에 대하여
판단해야만 한다면
뒤로 물러서지 말고
지혜를 주시는 하나님의 말씀에 의지하라

공의로운 재판장인 하나님은 구하는 자에게 분별력을 주신다.

마태복음 7:1-12

[1] 비판을 받지 아니하려거든 비판하지 말라
[2] 너희의 비판하는 그 비판으로 너희가 비판을 받을 것이요 너희의 헤아리는 그 헤아림으로 너희가 헤아림을 받을 것이니라
[3] 어찌하여 형제의 눈 속에 있는 티는 보고 네 눈 속에 있는 들보는 깨닫지 못하느냐
[4] 보라 네 눈 속에 들보가 있는데 어찌하여 형제에게 말하기를 나로 네 눈 속에 있는 티를 빼게 하라 하겠느냐
[5] 외식하는 자여 먼저 네 눈 속에서 들보를 빼어라 그 후에야 밝히 보고 형제의 눈 속에서 티를 빼리라
[6] 거룩한 것을 개에게 주지 말며 너희 진주를 돼지 앞에 던지지 말라 저희가 그것을 발로 밟고 돌이켜 너희를 찢어 상할까 염려하라
[7] 구하라 그러면 너희에게 주실 것이요 찾으라 그러면 찾을 것이요 문을 두드리라 그러면 너희에게 열릴 것이니
[8] 구하는 이마다 얻을 것이요 찾는 이가 찾을 것이요 두드리는 이에게 열릴 것이니라
[9] 너희 중에 누가 아들이 떡을 달라 하면 돌을 주며
[10] 생선을 달라 하면 뱀을 줄 사람이 있겠느냐
[11] 너희가 악한 자라도 좋은 것으로 자식에게 줄 줄 알거든 하물며 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께서 구하는 자에게 좋은 것으로 주시지 않겠느냐
[12] 그러므로 무엇이든지 남에게 대접을 받고자 하는대로 너희도 남을 대접하라 이것이 율법이요 선지자니라
