UNOPENED TOMORROWS		열려있지 않은 미래
[ Matthew 6:25 - 6:34 ] - hymn 344 We walk by faith, not by sight.£2 Corinthians 5:7 We often wish we could see what lies around the corner in life. Then we could prepare for it, control it, or avoid it. A wise person has said, "Though we can't see around corners, God can." How much better and more reassuring that is! One day my 10-year-old grand-daughter Emily and I were boiling eggs for breakfast. As we stared into the boiling water and wondered how long it would take to get the eggs just right, Emily said, "Pity we can't open them up to see how they're doing." I agreed. But that would have spoiled them, so we had to rely on guesswork, with no guarantee of results. We began talking about other things we would like to see but can't-like tomorrow. Too bad we can't crack tomorrow open, we said, to see if it's the way we would like it. But meddling with tomorrow before its time, like opening a partly cooked egg, would spoil both today and tomorrow. Because Jesus has promised to care for us every day-and that includes tomorrow-we can live by faith one day at a time(Matthew 6:33-34). Emily and I decided to leave tomorrow safely in God's hands. Have you?£Joanie Yoder		[ 마태복음 6:25 - 6:34 ] - 찬송가 344 장 이는 우리가 믿음으로 행하고 보는 것으로 하지 아니함이로라－고린도후서 5:7 우리는 인생을 살아가면서 가끔, 장차 무슨 일이 닥쳐올지를 알고 싶어 할 때가 있습니다. 알 수만 있다면 우리는 그것에 대비도 하고, 조정하기도 하며, 피할 수도 있을 것입니다. 어느 현자가 말하기를 “우리는 비록 앞을 내다보지 못하지만 하나님은 내다보실 수 있다.”라고 말했습니다. 그 얼마나 다행한 일이고, 안심되는 말입니까! 하루는 내가 열 살짜리 손녀 에밀리와 아침식사 거리로 달걀을 삶고 있었습니다. 우리가 끓는 물 속을 들여다보면서 달걀들이 알맞게 익으려면 얼마나 시간이 걸릴까 궁금해 할 때 에밀리가 “달걀이 얼마나 익었는지 한번 까볼 수 없는 것이 유감이네요.”라고 말했습니다. 나도 동의했습니다. 그러나 그렇게 하면 달걀 삶기를 망칠 수도 있기 때문에, 결과에 대한 보장이 없어도 우리는 짐작만 하는 수밖에 없었습니다. 우리는 이와 마찬가지로, 보고 싶지만 볼 수가 없는 다른 것들, 예를 들면 내일과 같은 것에 대해 이야기를 나누기 시작했습니다. 내일이 우리가 원하는 대로인지 열어 볼 수 없으니 안타깝다고 우리는 이야기했습니다. 하지만 부분적으로 익은 달걀 껍질을 까보는 것처럼, 시간이 되기도 전에 내일에 대해서 왈가왈부하는 것은 오늘과 내일을 다 망칠 것입니다. 예수님께서 매일 우리를 돌보아 주시겠다고 약속하셨고, 내일도 거기에 포함되기에 우리는 그날그날을 믿음으로 살아갈 수 있습니다(마6:33-34). 에밀리와 나는 내일을 하나님 손에 안전하게 맡기기로 했습니다. 당신도 맡기셨습니까?

when you stew about tomorrow.

Matthew 6:25-34

[25] "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
[26] "Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
[27] "Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
[28] "So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin;
[29] "and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
[30] "Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
[31] "Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'
[32] "For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
[33] "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
[34] "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

누가 미래를 쥐고 있고
내 손을 잡고 있는지 나는 안다오
우연히 일어나는 일이란 없다네
모든 것이 주님이 계획하신 것이네

내일에 대해서 근심하는 것은
문제 거리를 만들어 낼 뿐이다.

[25] 그러므로 내가 너희에게 이르노니 목숨을 위하여 무엇을 먹을까 무엇을 마실까 몸을 위하여 무엇을 입을까 염려하지 말라 목숨이 음식보다 중하지 아니하며 몸이 의복보다 중하지 아니하냐
[26] 공중의 새를 보라 심지도 않고 거두지도 않고 창고에 모아 들이지도 아니하되 너희 천부께서 기르시나니 너희는 이것들보다 귀하지 아니하냐
[27] 너희 중에 누가 염려함으로 그 키를 한 자나 더할 수 있느냐
[28] 또 너희가 어찌 의복을 위하여 염려하느냐 들의 백합화가 어떻게 자라는가 생각하여 보아라 수고도 아니하고 길쌈도 아니하느니라
[29] 그러나 내가 너희에게 말하노니 솔로몬의 모든 영광으로도 입은 것이 이 꽃 하나만 같지 못하였느니라
[30] 오늘 있다가 내일 아궁이에 던지우는 들풀도 하나님이 이렇게 입히시거든 하물며 너희일까보냐 믿음이 적은 자들아
[31] 그러므로 염려하여 이르기를 무엇을 먹을까 무엇을 마실까 무엇을 입을까 하지 말라
[32] 이는 다 이방인들이 구하는 것이라 너희 천부께서 이 모든 것이 너희에게 있어야 할 줄을 아시느니라
[33] 너희는 먼저 그의 나라와 그의 의를 구하라 그리하면 이 모든 것을 너희에게 더하시리라
[34] 그러므로 내일 일을 위하여 염려하지 말라 내일 일은 내일 염려할 것이요 한 날 괴로움은 그 날에 족하니라
