The Devil		마귀의 죽 그릇
[ Matthew 4:15 - 4:11 ] - hymn 384 When [the devil] speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. - John 8:44 While my sons-in-law and I were hiking in a state park last summer, we noticed a trail marker that pointed toward something called The Devil's Soup Bowl. Intrigued, we took off for this geologic formation. As we went, we joked about the kind of soup we might find in the bowl. When we arrived, we discovered it to be a large sunken area of land?something like a deep lake without any water in it. We were rather disappointed to discover that The Devil's Soup Bowl was filled with nothing but trees and weeds. The Devil's Soup Bowl is the perfect name for a formation that offers something of interest but ends up providing nothing, because the devil is a deceiver. His menu is a bowl of tricks that delivers only empty promises and broken dreams. Satan began his deceitful work of substituting nothing for something when he tricked Eve in the Garden of Eden, and he has not changed his plan. He tried his deceit on Jesus, but the Lord resisted and "the devil left Him" (Matthew 4:9-11). So how do you know if you are being offered one of Satan's lies? Test new ideas with Scripture. Consult with people you trust to be godly and wise. And pray. Don't fall for the devil's bowl of empty lies. - Dave Branon		[ 마태복음 4:15 - 4:11 ] - 찬송가 384 장 [마귀가] 거짓을 말할 때마다 제 것으로 말하나니 이는 저가 거짓말쟁이요 거짓의 아비가 되었음이니라 － 요한복음 8:44 지난 여름 사위들과 함께 한 주립공원에 서 하이킹을 하다가 우리는 '마귀의 죽 그릇'이라는 곳을 가리키는 푯말을 보게 되었습니다. 우리는 호기심이 일어나 그 지형을 보러 떠났습니다. 그곳으로 가는 동안 우리는 그릇 속에 어떤 죽이 있을까를 놓고 농담을 주고받았습니다. 우리가 도착해보니 그곳은 마치 물이 다 빠져버린 깊은 호수처럼 깊이 꺼진 넓은 땅 이었습니다. 우리는 '마귀의 죽 그릇'이 단지 나무와 잡초로만 채워져 있는 것을 보고는 꽤 실망하였습니다. 마귀는 속이는 자이기 때문에, 우리의 관 심을 끌지만 결국 아무 것도 주지 않기에 毒떡痼?죽 그릇?은 그 지형에 아주 완벽한 이름입니다. 마귀의 메뉴는 공허한 약속과 깨어진 꿈만을 전해 주는 거짓의 그릇입니다. 사탄은 에덴동산에서 하와를 속이면서 참된 어떤 것을 공허한 것으로 바꾸어 버리는 기만 전술을 쓰기 시작했고 아직도 그 전술을 바꾸지 않고 있습니다. 사탄은 예수님께도 기만 전술을 쓰려고 했습니다. 그러나 주님께서 대적하자 결국 “사탄은 주님을 떠났습니다” (마 4:9-11). 그러면 당신이 사탄의 거짓말로 유혹 받을 때 그것을 어떻게 알 수 있을까요? 성경을 통해 그 생각들을 점검해 보십시오. 당신이 신뢰하는 경건하고 지혜로운 사람들과 의논하십시오. 그리고 기도하십시오. 마귀의 거짓의 빈 그릇에 속지 마십시오.

Satan's a liar, deceiving all men,
Subtly he causes their fall into sin;
But his sly methods we surely can know,

Satan offers nothing but tricks and deceit.

Matthew 4:1-11

[1] Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil.
[2] After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.
[3] The tempter came to him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread."
[4] Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"
[5] Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple.
[6] "If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down. For it is written: "'He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.'"
[7] Jesus answered him, "It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'"
[8] Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.
[9] "All this I will give you," he said, "if you will bow down and worship me."
[10] Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'"
[11] Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

사탄은 거짓말쟁이, 모든 사람들을 속이고
교묘하게 죄에 빠지게 만드네
그러나 어디서나 예수님을 바라보면
사탄의 간교한 계략을 확실히 알 수 있네

사탄은 속임과 거짓 외에는
아무 것도 주지 않는다.

마태복음 4:1-11

[1] 그 때에 예수께서 성령에게 이끌리어 마귀에게 시험을 받으러 광야로 가사
[2] 사십 일을 밤낮으로 금식하신 후에 주리신지라
[3] 시험하는 자가 예수께 나아가서 가로되 네가 만일 하나님의 아들이어든 명하여 이 돌들이 떡덩이가 되게 하라
[4] 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 기록되었으되 사람이 떡으로만 살 것이 아니요 하나님의 입으로 나오는 모든 말씀으로 살 것이라 하였느니라 하시니
[5] 이에 마귀가 예수를 거룩한 성으로 데려다가 성전 꼭대기에 세우고
[6] 가로되 네가 만일 하나님의 아들이어든 뛰어내리라 기록하였으되 저가 너를 위하여 그 사자들을 명하시리니 저희가 손으로 너를 받들어 발이 돌에 부딪히지 않게 하리로다 하였느니라
[7] 예수께서 이르시되 또 기록되었으되 주 너의 하나님을 시험치 말라 하였느니라 하신대
[8] 마귀가 또 그를 데리고 지극히 높은 산으로 가서 천하 만국과 그 영광을 보여
[9] 가로되 만일 내게 엎드려 경배하면 이 모든 것을 네게 주리라
[10] 이에 예수께서 말씀하시되 사단아 물러가라 기록되었으되 주 너의 하나님께 경배하고 다만 그를 섬기라 하였느니라
[11] 이에 마귀는 예수를 떠나고 천사들이 나아와서 수종드니라
