Child's Play		어린 아이의 놀이
[ Matthew 18:1 - 18:11 ] - hymn 340 Unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. - Matthew 18:3 After a surprise storm blanketed the Middle East with snow, a newspaper photo showed four armed men smiling as they built a snowman outside the battered walls of a military headquarters. The wintry weather also caused a protest to be canceled and delayed a debate over parliamentary matters of pressing importance. Men wearing long robes and women in traditional black dresses and headscarves were seen playing in the snow. There's something about snow that brings out the child in all of us. And there's something about the gospel that beckons us to abandon our deep hostilities and feelings of self-importance in favor of a childlike humility and faith. When Jesus was asked, "Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?" (Matthew 18:1), He called a little child to come to Him and said, "Unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven" (v.3). It has been said that age diminishes our imagination, hopes, and possibilities. The older we get, the more easily we say, "That could never happen." But in a child's mind, God can do anything. A childlike faith filled with wonder and confidence in God unlocks the door to the kingdom of heaven. - David McCasland		[ 마태복음 18:1 - 18:11 ] - 찬송가 340 장 너희가 돌이켜 어린아이들과 같이 되지 아니하면 결단코 천국에 들어가지 못하리라 - 마태복음 18:3 뜻밖에 내린 폭설이 중동 지방을 눈으로 덮었을 때, 한 신문은 네 명의 무장한 남자들이 군사령부의 부서진 벽 밖에서 눈사람을 만들며 웃고 있는 모습의 사진을 실었습니다. 또한 이 추운 겨울 날씨로 인해 시위가 취소되었고, 국회의 긴급 주요안건들에 대한 토의도 늦춰졌습니다. 긴 두루마기를 입은 남자들과 전통적인 검은 옷과 머리에 스카프를 두른 여자들이 눈에서 노는 것이 보였습니다. 눈에는 우리 모두의 속에 있는 어린아이 같은 마음을 끄집어내는 그 무엇인가가 있습니다. 복음에도 우리 안에 있는 깊은 적개심과 자존심으로부터 어린아이 같은 겸손과 믿음을 갖도록 우리를 불러들이는 무언가가 있습니다. "천국에서는 누가 크니이까"(마 18:1)라는 질문을 받으셨을 때, 예수님께서는 어린아이를 그에게로 부르시고 "너희가 돌이켜 어린아이들과 같이 되지 아니하면 결단코 천국에 들어가지 못하리라"(3절)고 말씀하셨습니다. 흔히 말하기를 나이는 우리의 상상력과 희망과 가능성들을 감퇴시킨다고 합니다. 나이가 들어갈수록 "절대 그럴 리가 없어."라고 더 쉽게 말합니다. 그러나 아이들의 마음 안에서는 하나님은 무엇이든 하실 수가 있습니다. 하나님에 대한 경이와 확신으로 가득 찬 어린아이 같은 믿음은 천국으로 가는 문의 자물쇠를 열어줍니다.

God, give me the faith of a little child!
A faith that will look to Thee-
That never will falter and never fail,
But follow Thee trustingly. - Showerman

Faith shines brightest in a childlike heart.

Matthew 18:1-11

[1] At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"
[2] He called a little child and had him stand among them.
[3] And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
[4] Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
[5] "And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.
[6] But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.
[7] "Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to sin! Such things must come, but woe to the man through whom they come!
[8] If your hand or your foot causes you to sin cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire.
[9] And if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.
[10] "See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.
[11] The Son of Man came to save what was lost.

하나님, 제게 어린아이의 믿음을 주소서
당신을 바라보며
결코 실족하거나 실패하지 않고
신실하게 당신을 따르는 믿음을 주소서

믿음은 어린아이 같은 마음에서 가장 빛이 난다.

마태복음 18:1-11

[1] 그 때에 제자들이 예수께 나아와 가로되 천국에서는 누가 크니이까
[2] 예수께서 한 어린 아이를 불러 저희 가운데 세우시고
[3] 가라사대 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 너희가 돌이켜 어린 아이들과 같이 되지 아니하면 결단코 천국에 들어가지 못하리라
[4] 그러므로 누구든지 이 어린 아이와 같이 자기를 낮추는 그이가 천국에서 큰 자니라
[5] 또 누구든지 내 이름으로 이런 어린 아이 하나를 영접하면 곧 나를 영접함이니
[6] 누구든지 나를 믿는 이 소자 중 하나를 실족케 하면 차라리 연자 맷돌을 그 목에 달리우고 깊은 바다에 빠뜨리우는 것이 나으리라
[7] 실족케 하는 일들이 있음을 인하여 세상에 화가 있도다 실족케 하는 일이 없을 수는 없으나 실족케 하는 그 사람에게는 화가 있도다
[8] 만일 네 손이나 네 발이 너를 범죄케 하거든 찍어 내버리라 불구자나 절뚝발이로 영생에 들어가는 것이 두 손과 두 발을 가지고 영원한 불에 던지우는 것보다 나으니라
[9] 만일 네 눈이 너를 범죄케 하거든 빼어 내버리라 한 눈으로 영생에 들어가는 것이 두 눈을 가지고 지옥불에 던지우는 것보다 나으니라
[10] 삼가 이 소자 중에 하나도 업신 여기지 말라 너희에게 말하노니 저희 천사들이 하늘에서 하늘에 계신 내 아버지의 얼굴을 항상 뵈옵느니라
