A Rock-Solid Foundation		단단한 반석 기초
[ Matthew 7:21 - 7:27 ] - hymn 539 No other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. - 1 Corinthians 3:11 As Christians we can become so preoccupied with our earthly affairs that we shift our confidence from Jesus Christ to faith in our own intellect. Then something happens to shake the foundation on which we had been building. Phillip E. Johnson, a gifted lawyer and primary spokesman for the Intelligent Design movement, suffered a stroke and was likely to have another. Plagued by frightening thoughts during those first few days after his stroke, he was profoundly touched when a friend came and sang," On Christ, the solid rock, I stand-all other ground is sinking sand." Johnson writes, "What was the solid rock on which I stood? I had always prided myself on being self-reliant, and my brain was what I had relied on. Now the self with its brain was exposed as the shaky instrument it had always been. I was a Christian, even an ardent one in my worldly fashion, but now all the smoke was blown away, and I saw Truth close up." He resolved to keep Jesus at the center of his life and is now a different man. How quickly we rely on our intellect and reasoning, only to find that it is a "shaky instrument." Let's never forget that Jesus is the only rock-solid foundation of truth on which we can always depend. - Herb Vander Lugt		[ 마태복음 7:21 - 7:27 ] - 찬송가 539 장 이 닦아 둔 것 외에 능히 다른 터를 닦아 둘 자가 없으니 이 터는 곧 예수 그리스도라 - 고린도전서 3:11 그리스도인이지만, 우리는 세상일에 너무 몰두한 나머지 우리의 확신의 근거를 예수 그리스도에게서 우리 자신의 지성으로 바꾸기도 합니다. 그러면 우리를 그 동안 형성했던 기초가 흔들리는 어떤 일이 일어납니다. 타고난 법률가이며 '지능개발운동'의 수석 대변인인 필립 존슨은 뇌졸중으로 고통을 겪었고, 또 그 병이 재발할 가능성이 아주 많았습니다. 뇌졸중을 겪은 후 처음 며칠 동안 두려운 생각에 시달렸던 그는 한 친구가 찾아와 "반석이신 그리스도 위에 내가 서리라. 그 외 모든 땅은 가라앉는 모래밭이라."고 찬송을 불러주었을 때 깊은 감동을 받았습니다. 존슨은 "내가 서 있던 반석은 무엇이었던가? 나는 항상 나 자신에 의존했던 것을 자랑으로 여겼고 내가 믿었던 것은 내 머리였다. 이제 나 자신과 그 머리는 항상 불안정했던 고물이었음이 드러났다. 나는 그리스도인이었을 뿐 아니라 내 세속적인 방식에서 볼 때는 참 열렬한 신자였다. 그러나 지금 가려던 연기가 바람에 흩날려 사라지고 나니 진리를 아주 가깝게 바라보게 되었다."라고 썼습니다. 그는 그의 삶 한가운데에 예수님을 모시기로 결단하여 지금은 다른 사람으로 변했습니다. 우리는 얼마나 쉽게 우리의 지성과 판단력에 의존하는지요? 그것이 "불안정한 고물"임을 알게 될 것이면서도 말입니다. 예수님만이 우리가 언제나 의지할 수 있는 진리의 단단한 반석의 기초가 되심을 결코 잊지 맙시다.

Matthew 7:21-27

[21] "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
[22] Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?'
[23] Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
[24] "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
[25] The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.
[26] But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.
[27] The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."

예수님의 보혈과 그의 공정하심 위에
나의 소망을 온전히 두렵니다
아무리 달콤한 형태라도 신뢰하지 않으며
오로지 예수님의 이름만을 의지하렵니다

예수 그리스도-견고한 기초 위에 삶을 이루어라.

[21] 나더러 주여 주여 하는 자마다 천국에 다 들어갈 것이 아니요 다만 하늘에 계신 내 아버지의 뜻대로 행하는 자라야 들어가리라
[22] 그 날에 많은 사람이 나더러 이르되 주여 주여 우리가 주의 이름으로 선지자 노릇하며 주의 이름으로 귀신을 쫓아 내며 주의 이름으로 많은 권능을 행치 아니하였나이까 하리니
[23] 그 때에 내가 저희에게 밝히 말하되 내가 너희를 도무지 알지 못하니 불법을 행하는 자들아 내게서 떠나가라 하리라
[24] 그러므로 누구든지 나의 이 말을 듣고 행하는 자는 그 집을 반석 위에 지은 지혜로운 사람 같으리니
[25] 비가 내리고 창수가 나고 바람이 불어 그 집에 부딪히되 무너지지 아니하나니 이는 주초를 반석 위에 놓은 연고요
[26] 나의 이 말을 듣고 행치 아니하는 자는 그 집을 모래 위에 지은 어리석은 사람 같으리니
[27] 비가 내리고 창수가 나고 바람이 불어 그 집에 부딪히매 무너져 그 무너짐이 심하니라
