The Power Of Love		사랑의 힘
[ Matthew 5:43 - 5:48 ] - hymn 372 Love your enemies, ... and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you. - Matthew 5:44 Fyodor Dostoevsky tells the story of brothers Ivan and Alyosha Karamazov. Alyosha is a devoted follower of Jesus; Ivan is a skeptic. As the story unfolds, Ivan meets his brother at a caf- In an effort to undermine the faith of Alyosha, he recites a lengthy poem he has written about the Grand Inquisitor. In it the Inquisitor rails at Jesus for His decision to grant free will to human beings and thus bring so much pain and suffering into the world. As the Grand Inquisitor finishes his argument, Ivan portrays Jesus as having no answer. Instead, Jesus walks up to the Inquisitor and kisses him. Ivan hopes Alyosha will see this as an irrational act. But as he finishes speaking, Alyosha, imitating Jesus, leans forward and kisses Ivan. Alyosha's profound gesture completely changes the tenor of the scene, for it represents the triumph of love over doubt and skepticism. Love overrides every objection. No logical argument can overthrow it. That's why Jesus calls us to love our enemies, and to do good to those who spitefully use us and persecute us (Matthew 5:44). Love, not rational argument, overcomes hatred. The goodness of God revealed in our love draws people to repentance. - David Roper		[ 마태복음 5:43 - 5:48 ] - 찬송가 372 장 너희 원수를 사랑하며 너희를 핍박하는 자를 위하여 기도하라 - 마태복음 5:44 표도르 도스토예프스키는 이반과 알료샤 카라마죠프 형제의 이야기를 썼습니다. 알료샤는 독실한 신자인 반면, 이반은 무신론자입니다. 이야기가 전개되면서 이반은 그의 동생을 카페에서 만납니다. 그는 알료샤의 신앙을 깎아 내리려는 의도로 종교재판관에 관하여 자신이 쓴 장문의 시를 낭송합니다. 시에서 재판관은 하나님께서 인간들에게 자유의지를 허락한 결정이 세상에 무수한 고통과 고난을 가져온 것에 대하여 예수님을 비난합니다. 이반은 종교재판관이 비난을 마쳤을 때 대답할 말이 없는 것처럼 예수님을 묘사했습니다. 대답 대신에 예수님은 재판관에게 다가가 그에게 입을 맞추었습니다. 이반은 알료샤가 이 장면을 비이성적인 것으로 여기기를 기대했습니다. 그러나 이반이 이야기를 마치자 알료샤는 예수님이 하신 것처럼 몸을 숙여 이반에게 입을 맞추었습니다. 알료샤의 심오한 몸짓은 그 장면의 흐름을 완전히 바꾸어 버렸습니다. 왜냐하면 그것은 의심과 회의를 뛰어 넘는 사랑의 승리를 상징하는 것이기 때문입니다. 사랑은 모든 반대를 이겨냅니다. 어떠한 논리적 주장도 이를 뒤집을 수는 없습니다. 그것이 바로 예수님께서 우리에게 원수를 사랑하고 우리를 악의로 이용하고 핍박하는 자들에게 선행을 베풀라고 하시는 이유입니다 (마 5:44). 이성적인 주장이 아니라 사랑이 미움을 극복할 수 있습니다. 우리의 사랑에 나타나 있는 하나님의 선하심이 사람들을 참회로 이끄는 것입니다.

Help me to see them as You do above;
Give me the wisdom and strength to take action,

Matthew 5:43-48

[43] "You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'
[44] But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
[45] that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
[46] If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that?
[47] And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?
[48] Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

주님, 제 주위 사람들을 향해 제 눈을 뜨게 하소서
하늘에서 주님께서 하시듯 그들을 보게 도우소서
제게 실천할 수 있는 지혜와 힘을 주셔서
주님의 놀라운 사랑을 그들에게 보이게 하소서

다른 사람을 걱정해 주느니 보다는 애정을 주는 것이 낫다.

마태복음 5:43-48

[43] 또 네 이웃을 사랑하고 네 원수를 미워하라 하였다는 것을 너희가 들었으나
[44] 나는 너희에게 이르노니 너희 원수를 사랑하며 너희를 핍박하는 자를 위하여 기도하라
[45] 이같이 한즉 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지의 아들이 되리니 이는 하나님이 그 해를 악인과 선인에게 비취게 하시며 비를 의로운 자와 불의한 자에게 내리우심이니라
[46] 너희가 너희를 사랑하는 자를 사랑하면 무슨 상이 있으리요 세리도 이같이 아니하느냐
[47] 또 너희가 너희 형제에게만 문안하면 남보다 더 하는 것이 무엇이냐 이방인들도 이같이 아니하느냐
[48] 그러므로 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지의 온전하심과 같이 너희도 온전하라
