Christmas Choice		크리스마스의 선택
[ Matthew 2:1 - 2:12 ] - hymn 115 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. - Matthew 2:10 The glitter of bright decorations, the sound of joyous Christmas carols, the happy children, and the cheerful "Merry Christmas" greetings sometimes give the impression that everybody is glad that Jesus came to our planet. But that isn't true today, and it never was. The news of Jesus' birth evoked a mixed reaction. The wise men joyfully welcomed and worshiped the Savior (Matthew 2:10-11). But King Herod was so troubled when he heard about it that he tried to find and kill the baby Jesus (vv.3-4,16). Most people, however, were unaware of the significance of what had happened. Still today, multitudes honor Jesus and rejoice in their salvation. But many others hate Him. They grumble about the singing of Christmas carols in shopping malls and the display of nativity scenes in public places. Others are apathetic. They go along with the celebration of the season. They may join in singing Christmas carols, but they never ask themselves who Jesus is or why He came. They don't think of their need to believe on Him and receive Him as their Savior. Are you among the indifferent? To ignore Him and His claims is to reject Him. Christmas demands a decision about Christ. The choice is yours. - Herb Vander Lugt		[ 마태복음 2:1 - 2:12 ] - 찬송가 115 장 저희가 별을 보고 가장 크게 기뻐하고 기뻐하더라 - 마태복음 2:10 화려하게 반짝이는 장식들, 흥겨운 크리스마스 캐롤 소리, 행복한 아이들, 그리고 활기 찬 “메리 크리스마스” 인사들은 모든 사람들이 예수님께서 이 땅에 오셨다는 사실을 기뻐하는 듯한 인상을 줍니다. 그러나 오늘날 그것은 진실이 아니며, 진실이었던 적도 없습니다. 예수님의 탄생 소식에 대한 반응은 다양했습니다. 동방박사들은 구세주의 오심을 기뻐하며 경배 드렸습니다 (마 2:10-11). 그러나 헤롯왕은 그 소식을 들었을 때 불안한 나머지 예수를 찾아 죽이려고 하였습니다 (3-4, 16절). 하지만 대부분의 사람들은 그 때 일어난 일의 중요성을 깨닫지 못했습니다. 오늘날에도 여전히 다수의 사람들이 예수님을 높이며 자신들의 구원을 기뻐하는 반면 또 다른 많은 사람들은 예수님을 미워합니다. 그들은 상점가에서 흘러나오는 크리스마스 캐롤과 공공장소에서 탄생의 장면을 진열하는 것에 대해서 불평합니다. 어떤 사람들은 아예 관심이 없습니다. 그들은 계절의 축제 분위기를 따라갑니다. 크리스마스 캐롤도 따라 부릅니다. 그러나 그들은 예수가 누구며 왜 그가 이 땅에 오셨는지 궁금해하지 않습니다. 그들은 예수님을 믿고 구주로 영접해야 하는 필요에 대해 생각하지 않습니다. 당신도 그 무관심한 사람들 중 하나입니까? 예수님과 예수님의 주장들을 무시하는 것은 예수님을 거부하는 것입니다. 크리스마스는 그리스도에 대한 결단을 요구합니다. 선택은 당신 몫입니다.

Matthew 2:1-12

[1] After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem
[2] and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him."
[3] When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him.
[4] When he had called together all the people's chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Christ was to be born.
[5] "In Bethlehem in Judea," they replied, "for this is what the prophet has written:
[6] "'But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel.'"
[7] Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared.
[8] He sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and make a careful search for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him."
[9] After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was.
[10] When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.
[11] On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh.
[12] And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.

당신은 예수님을 어떻게 하시겠습니까?
중립이란 없습니다.
언젠가 당신의 마음 속에서
“예수님은 나를 어떻게 하실까” 묻게 될 것입니다.

마음 속에 예수님을 영접하면
예수님은 천국에서 당신을 영접하실 것이다.

마태복음 2:1-12

[1] 헤롯 왕 때에 예수께서 유대 베들레헴에서 나시매 동방으로부터 박사들이 예루살렘에 이르러 말하되
[2] 유대인의 왕으로 나신 이가 어디 계시뇨 우리가 동방에서 그의 별을 보고 그에게 경배하러 왔노라 하니
[3] 헤롯 왕과 온 예루살렘이 듣고 소동한지라
[4] 왕이 모든 대제사장과 백성의 서기관들을 모아 그리스도가 어디서 나겠느뇨 물으니
[5] 가로되 유대 베들레헴이오니 이는 선지자로 이렇게 기록된 바
[6] 또 유대 땅 베들레헴아 너는 유대 고을 중에 가장 작지 아니하도다 네게서 한 다스리는 자가 나와서 내 백성 이스라엘의 목자가 되리라 하였음이니이다
[7] 이에 헤롯이 가만히 박사들을 불러 별이 나타난 때를 자세히 묻고
[8] 베들레헴으로 보내며 이르되 가서 아기에 대하여 자세히 알아보고 찾거든 내게 고하여 나도 가서 그에게 경배하게 하라
[9] 박사들이 왕의 말을 듣고 갈새 동방에서 보던 그 별이 문득 앞서 인도하여 가다가 아기 있는 곳 위에 머물러 섰는지라
[10] 저희가 별을 보고 가장 크게 기뻐하고 기뻐하더라
[11] 집에 들어가 아기와 그 모친 마리아의 함께 있는 것을 보고 엎드려 아기께 경배하고 보배합을 열어 황금과 유향과 몰약을 예물로 드리니라
[12] 꿈에 헤롯에게로 돌아가지 말라 지시하심을 받아 다른 길로 고국에 돌아가니라
