The Real Jesus		진정한 예수님
[ Matthew 16:13 - 16:20 ] - hymn 101 You are the Christ, the Son of the living God. - Matthew 16:16 Who is Jesus? Observing the ways He is portrayed these days, it's almost impossible to recognize Him as the Jesus of the Bible. Some groups add to what the Bible says about Him, while others diminish Him to simple humanity, claiming that He was merely a wise teacher or a master moralist. Some would like to make Him disappear altogether. But this is nothing new. It's been happening for nearly 2,000 years. This reminds me of Thomas Jefferson, who wrote the US Declaration of Independence. He went through the New Testament Gospels with scissors and cut out all references to Jesus' deity and the supernatural. This is known as The Jefferson Bible. Even recently, people have approached the Gospels in similar ways. When Jesus asked His 12 disciples what people were saying about who He was, some answers were Elijah, Jeremiah, and John the Baptist, but these answers were all inadequate. Peter was correct when he said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God" (Matthew 16:16). Don't be deceived by fuzzy, watered down, or false descriptions of Jesus that you read, see, or hear about. Stick to the Bible. When people try to minimize His identity, tell them in no uncertain terms who the real Jesus is! - Dave Egner		[ 마태복음 16:13 - 16:20 ] - 찬송가 101 장 주는 그리스도시요 살아계신 하나님의 아들이시니이다 - 마태복음 16:16 예수님은 누구일까요? 예수님을 표현하는 이 시대의 방식으로는 성경 속의 예수님을 그대로 인식하기는 거의 불가능합니다. 어떤 사람들은 성경이 예수님에 대해 말하는 것에다 더 붙여서 말하는 반면, 또 다른 사람들은 예수님이 단순히 현명한 선생 혹은 뛰어난 윤리학자였다고 주장하며 그 분을 평범한 인간으로 격하시키기도 합니다. 또 어떤 사람들은 예수님을 완전히 사라진 존재로 만들고 싶어합니다. 그러나 이런 의견들은 전혀 새롭지 않습니다. 이런 일들은 거의 2천년 동안 계속 있었던 것이니까요. 이것은 내게 미국 독립선언서를 작성한 토마스 제퍼슨을 떠올리게 해주었습니다. 그는 신약의 복음서들을 읽으면서 가위를 가지고 예수님의 신성과 초자연성에 관한 기술들을 모두 오려내 버렸습니다. 이것이 제퍼슨 성경이라고 알려진 것입니다. 최근까지도 사람들은 이와 유사한 방법으로 복음서에 접근해 왔습니다. 예수님께서 열두 제자들에게 사람들이 예수님을 무엇이라 일컫느냐고 물어 보셨을 때, 제자들이 엘리야, 예레미야, 혹은 세례 요한이라 한다고 대답했지만 이 대답들은 모두 틀렸습니다. 베드로가 정확히 예수님을 다음과 같이 묘사하였습니다. “주는 그리스도시요 살아 계신 하나님의 아들이시니이다” (마 16:16). 예수님에 대한 모호하거나 희석되거나 거짓된 표현을 읽고 보고 들을 때 그것에 속지 마십시오. 오직 성경에만 매달리십시오. 사람들이 예수님의 실체를 축소하려고 할 때 그들에게 진정한 예수님이 누구신지 확실하게 말해주십시오!

To know Jesus is to know God.

Matthew 16:13-20

[13] When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?"
[14] They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets."
[15] "But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?"
[16] Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
[17] Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven.
[18] And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
[19] I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
[20] Then he warned his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Christ.

하나님의 독생자이신 예수님께 모든 영광 있으라
스스로 존재하시는 위대한 그분께.
창조주시며 운행자이신 분, 하지만 무엇보다
갈보리의 어린양이신 그분께!

예수님을 아는 것이 하나님을 아는 것이다.

마태복음 16:13-20

[13] 예수께서 가이사랴 빌립보 지방에 이르러 제자들에게 물어 가라사대 사람들이 인자를 누구라 하느냐
[14] 가로되 더러는 세례 요한, 더러는 엘리야, 어떤 이는 예레미야나 선지자 중의 하나라 하나이다
[15] 가라사대 너희는 나를 누구라 하느냐
[16] 시몬 베드로가 대답하여 가로되 주는 그리스도시요 살아계신 하나님의 아들이시니이다
[17] 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 바요나 시몬아 네가 복이 있도다 이를 네게 알게 한 이는 혈육이 아니요 하늘에 계신 내 아버지시니라
[18] 또 내가 네게 이르노니 너는 베드로라 내가 이 반석 위에 내 교회를 세우리니 음부의 권세가 이기지 못하리라
[19] 내가 천국 열쇠를 네게 주리니 네가 땅에서 무엇이든지 매면 하늘에서도 매일 것이요 네가 땅에서 무엇이든지 풀면 하늘에서도 풀리리라 하시고
[20] 이에 제자들을 경계하사 자기가 그리스도인 것을 아무에게도 이르지 말라 하시니라
